Best bang for the buck by far
Looks great drives amazing. There's plenty of power in the GT to make a grown man smile everytime you hit the gas. The GT is a completely different car than the other K5 models its worth the price to add the GT1 package, the Dual clutch transmission it fast and performs well (most of the time) it's a little slow engaging from a stop at times. Snow driving is dangerously poor with the factory installed Pirelli p-zeros. Expect to buy new tires in under 10k miles.

Decent bang for your buck
I traded in my 2020 Challenger RT 6-speed manual to get this for my wife. I miss my RT, but this a much better multi-purpose family vehicle. It's not the fastest, but it's not a slug either. We didn't by it for speed. It's comfortable with tons of bells and whistles. The infotainment was buggy initially, but some software updates fixed that. We expected so little issues like that since this is an all new vehicle/year. I only have one con so far. 1- The car has 20,000 miles on it and still smells like anti-freeze. I've seen tons of similar complaints and am hoping that the issue is just a bad coolant reservoir that the dealer will find and replace at my appointment next week

Amazing car, that offers an awful lot for $30,000
In my opinion the only trim level to buy in the K5 is the GT line. It offers and 1.6 L four-cylinder turbo charged GTI engine that will most definitely wow are you Kia has really stepped up their game every year as they said they would The K5 GT line turbo only puts out 180 hp but it is so turkey that it feels like it’s putting out about 260 horse I kid you not in the cabin is quite quiet. The looks are amazing this is a very good looking automobile from any angle you look at it . Oh let me not forget to mention the Electric panoramic moonroof, Then there is the whole list of standard features from the K5 such as lane keep assist Blindspot warning and Blindspot lane keep assist, pedestrian warning and assist. collision warning, and mitigation system.. and guess what it works I’ve had my K53 weeks and I’ve been cut off twice and had the full hit the brakes on me after cutting me off all the warning engaged immediately as did the crash medication system it actually beat me to the brake pedal and engaged. I truly don’t think there’s a car in its class that can stand with it due to its luxe, performance, and value for the money. This is truly an awesome car
Performance plus luxury makes Kia K5 GT a great va
I waited over 6 months for the new K5 GT to arrive on Long Island. And it was worth the wait. My GT is the finest car I've owned. My heavy foot loves the 290 horses. But I wanted more luxury comforts and Kia's design team included creature comforts and tech features found in cars costing $10,000 more from other automakers. I test drove many sporty sedans before checking out Kia's replacement for the 2012 Optima I owned. But when I visited dealers none had the K5 GT which I had read about. Initially I drove the 2021 K5 GT-Line. Nice ride. Nicely designed interior. Good driver seat and visibility. But where was the 290-HP turbo powerplant? There wasn't a single GT available on Long Island. 6 months later, one of the Kia dealers I had visited sent me a text with a photo of a automobile carrier trailer truck... Loaded on that truck was one new Kia5 GT! The salesman asked if I was still interested. I was in his driveway early the next morning. There was my ideal ride! In Wolf Gray. All 290-HP with moonroof, heated and cooled power front seats, a ton of safety sensor bells and whistles, great handling, a controlled and quiet ride. And the acceleration! This car is front wheel drive and the power can propel you 0 to 70 in a few seconds. Comes in handy on my trips between New York and my family in North Carolina. I really appreciate the GT's ability to sprint past trucks or merge on to highways effortlessly. And even on long trips this Kia rocket is super comfortable and the navigation system along with connectivity with my Android phone make it a snap to get where I need to go, and make or receive hands-free phone calls. The icing on the cake is Kia's value proposition. My K5 GT saved me $10K to $12K compared to the Genesis G70, my 2nd choice, or the Alfa Romeo, or the BMW I checked out. I had been impressed with my 2012 Kia Optima Turbo. It was a good car. The K5 GT is an exceptional vehicle. And thus far I have had zero problems or complaints, needing only oil changes and tire rotations.
