Used 2002 Jeep Liberty Consumer Reviews
nice all around
ive driven better but not for the price!
my baby
This the best small suv I have driven. It looks small but is very roomy. Drivers side floor area is too small for someone big like me but I still can enjoy long rides and short fast breaks. I am at 62,900 miles and never a problem except mirrors. Power mirror has a short occasionally. It sometimes wont work, but only for a few minutes. I don't know why, I just accept it. I highly recommend this Jeep.

It had me from hello
I had a 97 wrangler that had to be traded in for a more family friendly car. When I saw the new Liberty I really wanted to trade my piece of crap Mazda 626 (even with the negative equity)in for it. Much to my suprise my wife liked the look of it. We decided to take one for a test drive and 2 weeks later bought the Liberty. The ride is very smooth compared to the Wrangler I had as well as the 4-runner my wife drove. Handling is quite impressive. The gas mileage stinks, but the 4-Runner was just as bad.
SAFE JEEP
I was in two accidents in my Jeep Liberty and we came out with little to no damage. It kept me safe and held itself up. I will continue to buy Jeep.
all kinds of trouble
Bought my Liberty new and enjoyed it for first six months or so despite the design that makes it sound like a helicopter with windows open. Since then have had repeated electric problems -- dome light short, power window short, cd player quit working. The final straw is an automatic transmission that had to be rebuilt at only 50,000 miles with no abnormal driving conditions. The dealer was not helpful with this. Because of all of these issues, I won't purchase another Jeep product.
