Continuous Rattle and seat issues

SC, 12/24/2020
2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited 4dr SUV (3.6L 6cyl 8A)

2018 Brand new Grand Cherokee. At 22 months the sunroof starting making a rattling noise continuously like someone was hitting a metal pipe on the glass. I told them that it's obvious the sunroof is the issue and needs to be replaced. After constantly bringing the vehicle for a total of 9 times they agreed to replace the sunroof. In between those times they blamed the following items on the rattle: passenger head rest, panels in the trunk, removed and reattached the front bumper, took the headliner down. Jeep kept my car over 3 months trying to fix the rattle. After the sunroof was replaced I drove it out of the lot only to hear a new rattle in the front passenger corner. Turns out the clips behind the dash were loose and they told me they have no idea why it did that because they have never taken the dash out. Add the fact that the seat kept creaking at every turn. Only took them 4 times until they basically changed the seat out. The climate control also sucks in this car and doesn't even come out hot and when you split it for the upper and feet area there is almost nothing coming out at your feet. Jeep Corporate got involved and their only solution was 5% off a new jeep. Why would I make the same mistake twice. I will never purchase another Chrysler vehicle. The car does drive well, has good HP and features but what's the point if you have the car falling apart around you. Way overpriced.

I have always had dodge products and this 2018 is the worst! Doesn’t start properly it’s been in the shop more then I have drove it! Now it has a device on it to try and find out what’s wrong with it? They think it’s my phone ?

Awful start-stop and unconnect, unusable manual

NewJeepsucks, 12/31/2018
2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 4dr SUV (3.6L 6cyl 8A)

This is my 3rd Jeep Laredo and this is the worst. The start-stop is terrible. It immediately turns the Jeep off when stopped, even if stopped at a stop sign for less than 1 second. There is no option to delay the start-stop so its a complete waste and I always have to turn it off. Another example - pull into a parking space and it turns off and then turns back on when put it in park. Bad lazy engineering. This is a Jeep, not a Honda. Didn't buy it for gas mileage or wanted camera assist parking that doesn't work properly and beeps if you turn it off. Overly paternalistic. Unconnect - If I am using a flash drive/mp3 player, the Unconnect always defaults to the beginning after the Jeep has been turned off. So, if I am listening to a book on tape and was listening to page 45, it starts at page one when the Jeep is turned off. Unnecessarily annoying. My 2014 Jeep audio system never lost it's place and there was no terrible start-stop or parking assist. Jeep should make a model without all these terrible options or just go back to being a Jeep. The owners manual is unusable. Every page is filled with CAUTION and WARNING messages like "don't put your hand in the engine fan blades" that its impossible to find useful information.

Trackhawk is uniquely fast and able

2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk 4dr SUV 4WD (6.2L 8cyl S/C 8A)

This car is ridiculously fast. Faster than any other SUV. Right foot to the floor and you're smiling. And go ahead and blow away that $160,000 Porsche Cayenne Turbo. The engine is easily upgraded to 900+ HP if you want your 0-60 times down to 2.7 seconds, as quick as a ZR1 Corvette. And, it's a sleeper. I have a black one that attracts zero attention which is terrific while you're ripping around town with your foot in it.

Spent a lot of time on research-not dissapointed

Raven Trailhawk, 05/10/2021
2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk 4dr SUV 4WD (3.6L 6cyl 8A)

We spent a lot of time reviewing the options for a late-model, true 4WD vehicle that we wouldn't be afraid to take off-road that would also be a great long-distance driver. We also preferred to have more power and, since we were going to have to do cross-country drives we wanted to have adaptive cruise control. I test drove several different vehicles including the 2018 Toyota 4Runner TRD-Pro. The 5.7L V-8 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk was the obvious choice as soon as we test drove it. After 8 months of ownership and 3 round trips from the East Coast to the West Coast, and numerous shorter trips in between, we are more convinced than ever that the Jeep was the best choice.
