Used 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee SUV Consumer Reviews
2nd Jeep 05 and 06
My 2005 was a lemon. I was given a $5000 settlement from Jeep. The transmission kept blowing pumps and it had a vibration even after the recall on the torque converter, 3 converters and a transmission rebuild. I took the money and traded it in on a 06. So far the 06 does not have the problems the 05 had, but on the 05 it started with 16,000 miles. In the first 6,000 miles on this Jeep it has been fine. Jeep sales depreciates pretty quickly due to many of the incentives and a lot of Jeeps at the auctions that come off lease ruin the market. So if youre buying a Jeep make sure you aren't in a hurry to sell, just run it into the ground.
Impressive
Very impressive in the snow. GPS is a nice feature, especially for a Realtor! Heated seats provide steady warmth. A comfortable interior, sleek exterior.

I love my Jeep
This is my third Jeep. I love the ability I have to haul lots of stuff in it. I am an avid gardener and an antiques dealer who hauls around lots of furniture and plants. This car is wonderful for that. I like it better than any of my family members SUV's by far.
its awesome
I just recently bought an 06 Grand Cherokee, traded in my 05 that had nothing but problems. the 06 seems to do just fine it's only got 15,000 miles on it bought it with 14,000 it drives way better than the 05 i don't know what the difference in 1 year can make but let me tell you it did. i love jeep and i don't think i can ever drive another vehicle again...i understand the "It's a Jeep thing you wouldn't understand"
Very Happy Owner
This is a very nice piece of work for the price. It is my 6th SUV, including a BMW X-5, 2 Expeditions, a Blazer and a Bronco, and it is my favorite. Think of it as midway between a Subaru Outback Wagon and an Excursion. It is very agile given its hauling and towing capacities, and accelerates and handles as well on the road as the BMW X-5, which says a lot given its superior off-road capacities. The 5-speed automatic with "tiptronic" is easy to use and quite useful. The chassis is commendably stiff. The suspension is compliant and comfortable while still providing sporting handling. I recommend this vehicle highly.
