Not much to say; this is the third Grand Cherokee I've owned. Except for regular maintenance, the last one never saw the the inside of the dealer's garage. It was totally reliable and I got 15 MPG average over the four years I owned it.

the inside was poorly designed. there isn't enough leg room on a long trip. not enough places to put glasses and things. I feel closed in the jeep should be wider. Other than that I love my jeep

Swiss Grand Cherokee

This car, which I keep in Switzerland, has dispelled rumors that the Grand Cherokee is unstable. I have driven it hard in mountainous, very narrow and extremely winding Swiss roads to my total satisfaction. It's only serious flaw is fuel economy. I have a stable at home that includes an 04 Cayenne S, a 99 Range Rover 4.6, a 98 E430 Avantgarde Mercedes, two Limiteds- 00 & 04, all in Costa Rica, two Saharas- a 93 YJ in Costa Rica and a 99TJ in Miami, and the featured Overland in Switzerland for comparison purposes.

Great Tow Vehicle!!

This is a great vehicle. I use it to tow a small, enclosed, car tailer(about 5500 lbs loaded weight). Has plenty of power on all but the absolute steepest conditions. The overdrive lockout button is very handy when towing. Metallic flecks in the black paint show fantastic in the bright sunlight. The interior is very comfortable and easy to live with on extended trips. Lots of cargo room with rear seats folded down. Headlights/Foglights do a great job. Steering wheel mounted Audio controls have got me really spoiled. Get a lot of comments on the Chrome 17" Wheels.

My 3rd Jeep Grand Cherokee

This is my 3rd Jeep Grand Cherokee and the first two passed the 200k mile mark without any major issues. I drive a lot and drive pretty hard (NE winters/construction sites). This one ('04 GC Overland) is about to hit 100k miles and I replaced brakes and tires at 70k miles and a water pump at 80k. Other than an oil change (including gear and trans fluid/filter) and alignment at around 75k, it has never been back to the dealer for anything (I change my oil and filter every 6k miles). The only minor annoyances include the driver's door armrest is cracked and pinches my elbow (same thing happened to my 2002 GC Laredo) and it is a bit louder than I would like at highway speeds (70- 75mph). I will surely consider a 4th!
