2018 Jeep Compass Sport 4dr SUV 4WD (2.4L 4cyl 6M)

Review

I bought this car new and 6 days after I bought it there was fluid and smoke coming from under the engine and exhaust. The dealer said it was the fill and drain plugs in the PTU. So 2 weeks and 2 days later they called and said it was fixed. I picked it up and drove it maybe 10 miles and at a stop light smoke started rolling out from under it again. Way worse than the first time, and oil was pouring out of the PTU seal. They took the car for another 8 days and they finally got it fixed. So I have a car with 500 miles on it and owned it for a little over a month, and only had possession for 9 days

2.4 consumes massive amount of oil. Bought brand new and was initially very happy. One day as my wife and child were taking a left turn the vehicle shut off. I called the dealership and took it in. They advised the engine had around 1 quart of oil remaining...after 7k miles(2k miles after the first oil change). They filled the oil and said to come in after 1k miles for a consumption test. Before bringing it in I checked and noted that it needed 1 quart. They advised a half quart was burnt and to bring it back in 3k miles again. Extremely disappointed with dealership and corporate. At this point it is a safety hazard and has been in the shop 3 times so far. They want me to keep bringing it in for consumption tests...this is a brand new car. If I continue to follow their service advice the mileage will make the vehicle exempt for lemon law buy back. Will be consulting with an attorney

Review

This suv looks good on the outside. The interior is cheap, the seats are cheap. Not enough padding in the seats. Couldn't get comfortable. Hip and back pain. Dont buy. Short people beware. Hard getting in and out. The plastic panel on driver seat is up to high which causes friction getting out. 2017 not 2018 I'm speaking of

2018 Jeep Compass Trailhawk 4dr SUV 4WD (2.4L 4cyl 9A)

Review

I bought my 2018 Compass Trailhawk in November 2017. I had a issue with the towing module, but the Jeep Wave program made the issue bearable. The issue was thought to be resolved. I tried tow my trailer again and it still doesn't work, will try again to get it resolved. I have had many issues with the Uconnect. Bluetooth will not reconnect if you make a short stop, such as getting gas. It always defaults back to XM, no matter what you were listening to previously, and it is so loud. It has "failed to initialize Bluetooth" on many occasions. Read all the threads about Uconnect issues before you buy, I wish I did.
It has been off road and seems to be fairly capable, but even the Trailhawk version doesn't have much clearance so you need to be mindfull. Great in the snow! Mileage is around 25 MPG avg. It could use more horsepower or a transmission that is more responsive when trying to pass on the highway. Overall I like it, but I am a bit weary of its longevity.

2018 Jeep Compass Latitude 4dr SUV (2.4L 4cyl 6A)

Review

Worst by of my life @Spitzer Motor City Brookpark Road. Brought car August 9, instantly noticed water seeping into vehicle. Contacted salespeople, I am no longer a factor my sale is complete. In for service on August 28, HVAC box replaced vehicle returned on September 6. Before I could make it home more water. Call service schedule to bring vehicle back Tuesday. Well Sunday when I checked my car it was a swamp. Back In for service September 10, no word on the problem. I basically want a replacement or refund. Beware of the Compass bad buy. I should have stuck with the brand you can trust @Honda. Poor quality vehicle for price. I hate the Compass!!!!!!
