rbo-charged engines. The vehicle now has 60,000 miles on it with no signs of wear and tear; engine is very responsive; all features work perfectly; Whereas the Escape got 28 m p g, the Cherikee gets 27. My math says that's good. My first choice was actually V W Tiguan, until I discovered that there is no place in western Kentucky or western Tennesse that works on Volkswagens. And so, based on good reviews, I went with Cherokee. And by the way, that nine-speed overdrive transmission is a work if geniuses.

DO NOT BUY
At first this vehicle was great. but at 33,000 miles i had to replace the fuel pump and battery. At 40,000 miles. Replaced at 02 sensors, plugs and wires and finally ignition coil. That all happened after the check light kept throwing an 02 sensor code. After replacing all 4 still had the code. The car would have major hesitation when driving, to the point it was not safe. And it was intermitent every other day. It was weird. All in all owned it for 2.5 years and HATED it. I would never buy another jeep again.

Unrepairable Under Warranty -- Trailhawk
Up until it broke, I'd have given it 5 stars. I was particularly pleased that my mileage exceeded the EPA rating by quite a bit. Then the PTU failed. The PTU has been a problem on these. But Fiat/Jeep etc. does not supply parts for a 2021 vehicle. I've been told not to drive it. The part "might" become available in November, but Jeep won't commit to that. It is under "engineering review." "Jeep Cares" (ha!) helpline closed my file. It has been sitting in the driveway for 6 months now, despite being under the extended powertrain warranty. Loaner? Nope. Estimated date of repair? Nope. Does the end date of the "engineering review" mean parts will be available after it sits for 8+ months? Jeep won't tell me. Can I backorder the part? Nope - Jeep says I can't backorder a part that is not available. (They've taken the 'order' out of "backorder.") All in all, a disastrous certified pre-owned purchase that I really regret. A co-worker, whose Gladiator needed an entire engine replacement at 4000 miles (3.6L version of my engine) told me Jeeps are rugged -- but not reliable. No kidding.
