now into the seventh year
navigational equipment errors have began to slip in. It will asked us if we want to make a phone call while we are backing up the car, it just comes on. We notice that the speed limit that the system will advise us the wrong speed. Mechanical the Jeep is fine. Overall the Jeep has been a great car to own. We always buy the extended warranty if offered, we have found over the years that it does pay off if you own a car more then 4 years or drive a lot of miles. We replaced the tires, and checked the tie rods. We are seeing rust on the hitch. We now take our car to an independent car repair shop to get second opinions on any maintenance issue that are age or milage related. One of the seatbelts is now hanging up on drivers side, but overall we have been quite satisfied.

Good small SUV that offers 6 cylinder
I Love my 2017 Jeep Cherokee EXCEPT when you reverse and put back in drive the car stalls and then accelerates quickly which can be scary when reversing out of a parking spot. I also noticed that its acceleration is very strange...if you are going 30 mph and want to accelerate it takes you down to 20 mph before accelerating.. makes you feel like the car is going to just stop before acceleration. Other then that the car is great but i honestly feel like that is a huge negative when the main purpose of me choosing this car was for the speed of the 6cyl engine.

Worst Vehicle I've Ever Owned
I bought a new 2017 Limited for my daughter. It's been in and out of the dealership 6 times for mechanical over 36000 real easy miles. Now it's 800 miles out of warranty and the trouble continues. SVC 4wd warning just appeared. Car is in Socal and it's never been used anywhere near off-road. Looks like I will get this issue fixed and punt for a different car as it looks like a never ending list of problems ahead. I've bought Chrysler vehicle my whole life but that will be the last one.

Refined and Reliable
This review is for the 2017 Jeep Cherokee High Altitude 3.2L 6cyl. This particular 6 cylinder model was not an option when selecting a model for the review. We're entering our 8th year with this vehicle. May 2024 we experienced our first maintenance problem... The battery is finally on it's way out! 80k miles with zero issues. At 70k miles we replaced the tires and brakes. Mechanic said they both still had some life to them. Car drives super smooth and is extremely comfortable. Excellent refined leather interior. Outstanding car.
