The worst car I have ever owned
2017 Jaguar F-Pace Prestige 35t V6 3.0L Supercharge VIN: SADCK2BV0HA061290 Current mileage: 86k Current status: Disabled. Manf. warranty expired in June 2020. I bought this car (VIN: SADCK2BV0HA061290) in the summer of 2016 at Jaguar Farmington Hills dealer in Farmington Hills, Michigan. Ongoing issues started after 18 months : bluetooth dropping, Auto start/stop, front break noise. 2 months after the manufacturer warranty expired (June 2020), coolant got into engine (???) and busted. Dealers quoted $20K-$30K to fix or replace damaged engine. I've been a dumbfounded and still can't believe its reliability is far worse than my basic 2013 Dodge Dart.

Wanted something other than an SUV
I was looking for six months for the right car. I have driven SUVs the past 15 years. An AWD sedan was at the top of the list for fuel economy and performance. The FPace stumbled across my research. Once I saw the diesel's gas mileage, I had to give it a shot. An SUV that drives like a performance sedan yet has towing capacity and great gas mileage. The trifecta! Love this SUV!

Don't lease it!!
Shopping for a new SUV for the wife. The SUV's we have owned include MB ML, BMW X5 and X3 and drove this one - wow! Good looking. Nice engine, good interior -albeit a bit off perfect ergonomics (the window button is where?? No lumbar unless you get the prestige. Moon roof has small opening in huge glass). Specked out a Premium and Prestige to $53k and $59k, not far off some X3's we specked out (within a few hundred $). X3 lease $600-650. Jag was $800-925. Seriously? Not even in the same league! The money factor is similar, but get this: the residual value on the BMW is 58-60% and the Jag is 46-52%.

Costly
I enjoyed my car for the first month or two that is until I encountered a chip in my windshield. I had it repaired however the chip ended up traveling and the windshield had to be replaced. (A $1,300+ replacement). Now 6 months after owning the vehicle I'm experiencing more chips with the possibility of having it replaced again. I live in a small town with little traffic so the car has little exposure to road debris such as rocks etc.. The windshield is fragile and sounds like breaking glass anytime something hits it leaving me to see $$$$ signs.
