Used 1998 Isuzu Trooper SUV Consumer Reviews
I Love This Truck!
Best thing I ever did. Some people call it boxy and bland, but it has massive amounts of headroom and has really easy to use features.
Tip Top Trooper
This car has been outstanding from the highways of Southern California in the summer to the ski slopes of Colorado without fail. The only issue I've had was a Check Engine caused by the oxygen sensor - no problems, just some build-up on the sensor that was cleaned off. I could not have a better SUV.
Under rated
Bought the SUV on lease and liked it so much I bought it after 4 years. Extremly reliable, still looks brand new and spent very little time washing/ cleaning. They don't seem to hold thier value and I have no idea why. The lease buyout was so I good and the car still looks new, so I guess it is to my advanatage, I plan to drive it another 4 years.
GOOD SOLID VEHICLE!! CANNOT BEAT IT!!
THE TROOPER IS A GOOD SOLID VEHICLE THAT HAS PROVEN ITSELF VERY RELIABLE OVER THE LAST YEAR & A HALF. I DRIVE 100 MILES A DAY ON THE TOLLROAD. THE VEHICLE NEVER COMPLAINES. I HAVE ONLY NEEDED TO DO THE SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE & A COUPLE OTHER REPAIRS WHEN THE ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. THE FIRST TIME WAS THE DRIVETRAIN CONTROL MODULE. THE SECOND TIME WAS THE GAS GUAGE THING IN THE GAS TANK WENT OUT. GIVING A INCORRECT FUEL READING. DRIVER WINDOW NEEDED REPAIR. 2 TIMES IT HAS NEEDED REPAIR. HANDLING IS GREAT FOR SUCH A HEAVY SUV. PARTS ARE EXPENSIVE. IF YOU CAN AFFORD THE PARTS BY ALL MEANS I WOULD RECOMMEND GETTING A TROOPER.
4x4+
Bought used about a year and a half ago. Lots of cargo space. I fit a twin size bed, frame and boxspring along with a crib and crib matress with the back seats folded down. The cargo capacity never ceases to amaze me. So Far I only replaced tires and battery. Seems very reliable but with 50000 miles , it is burning too much oil.
