Red Sport 400 - Black Opal Edition

Starting with appearance: The black opal metallic paint is absolutely next level, appearing black from afar, but then green, purple, and blue close up depending on the lighting and angle. The matte black badging and carbon spoiler add to the dated but still aggressive look of the Q50S. Front grille and fog light surrounds are metallic black, and with the black illuminated emblem look very good with the black opal paint. Overall love the look of the car. Interior: Most people say the Q50 interior is really dated and lacking what other manufacturers are doing. I'd agree with that statement about the two screen infotainment system, but that's about it. I find the seats quite comfortable and the leather is very quality, plus the matte carbon trim adds a sporty and nice overall aesthetic. Performance: I'm quite satisfied with the performance. It has enough power to get up and go. I'm not trying to race anyone so it works for me. Handles great, well after ditching the run flat tires for some pilot sport 4s that is. I drive quite spirited, and it has held up to whatever I've thrown at it, again this is after changing the tires. The brakes are excellent, the Akebonos perform great, no complaints. The only negative would be the transmission, which can be quite temperamental. At times it does exactly as you'd expect, but other times it does things that could potentially be dangerous depending on what you're trying to do. There has been several occasions where it has decided to downshift under heavy acceleration around a corner, causing the car to become unsettled to where you have to let off the throttle and reevaluate what you're trying to do. Like I said before this could be quite dangerous depending on the maneuver you're trying to accomplish, if there is little room for error you're better off waiting it out if it's an option. This is why I have the car 4 stars, and not 5. After being in production for 9 years you'd think Nissan/Infiniti could have sorted that out. Seeing that there is only the one major complaint about the car, I am still very satisfied with it. Also the fact that is the last internal combustion performance sedan that Infiniti will produce, I am very glad to have purchased one. Especially one of the limited black opal editions.

This is my second infiniti, jumped from a 2016 into 2019. The ‘19 engine and turbos slightly less aggressive than my ‘16 same engine but the power delivery slightly off. Overall happy with the car. The positive is that after 60k miles no issues to speak of, just oil changes, tires and brakes. Don’t change with non oem brakes and pads they always have noise since they don’t match exactly. Suspension is compliant but could have been a little firmer especially if you push the car, transmission is good but not great. My comment on transmission is good not great is due to the engine helping the transmission since the engine is the star of the car. One issue which warrants discussion is the turbos which sometimes seem to take a little to much to spool and that makes acceleration hesitant.

If you get a deal on this car, like a clean lease return, don't think twice. It isn't perfect but damn it does what I want. We can carry four people in comfort. I can run it through the gears in absolute joy. Adjustable steering, transmission and suspension! Superb handling with the Continental Extreme Contact 06 tires( if your car has any other tire just recycle them).

Car is very small, I like that it was more of a sporty car/ flashy car. I traded it in because I'm 6ft and weigh 240 pounds I was too big for this car. I only like that it was fast, I was able to move through traffic fast but I hate that itc was too small and low to ground. I only owned car for a little over two years
