This is BEST new car in 25 I have owned

I don't understand the low ratings by the editors, we have owned 25 cars in 14 years (between us) and this is the ONLY one I have had more than 12-14 months. It is comfortable and reliable. Best deal going only paid 24k for it when similarly equipped models were 34-39k when purchased. It has EVERY option you could imagine and it is so quiet and smooth to ride in. We have logged over 50k so we travel a lot. The seats are still great. Most people are afraid of trying a name their family, friends or others have not tried or deemed COOL. If you want to save a lot of money and have a great warranty buy one! give one of these a look.

This car was the one my wife wanted. I had my doubts. Having owned a Maxima and a Saab 9000 I was hard to please. This car is a dream. We now have 35,000 miles on it and it has been virtually perfect. The very few minor problems have been corrected by the dealer in one visit. We did have a problem with the radio...intermittently just turned on. No questions asked..just install a whole new radio. Very places. The car is comfortable, responsive, quick and easy to drive. The features for the money are second to none. I am sold. My Saab 9000 is due for replacement this year and I think we will be a two XG350 family.

Bought a 2002 XG350L with 32,000 miles on it nine and a half months ago. In that time I've put around 19,000 miles on it. Only problem I've had was a headlight that needed replacing, and that was covered under warranty.

Without considering the "hyundai" name and without considering price this is simply a "great car. If you can get past the name and consider the price there is nothing out there that comes close to what you get! Some of the "Professional" reviews of this car are nonsence. The quality is great-the service i have received is superb-and the car performs just fine for the average driving situation. It appears some reviewers use race car mentality for evaluation. This car is, i say again, is competant and then some in everyday driving. Consider price and warranty for a bonus. Go drive one, then see if it meets your expectations.

This has been a wonderful vehicle to own. Very low maintenance required and it loves the highway. The only problems I experienced with this vehicle is a rupture in the power steering module and constant resurfacing of the brakes rotors.

We were looking for a new car with a good warranty. My wife fell in love with this car and that was it. The 60000 mile or 5 year warranty and 100000 mile drive train warranty were major reasons for purchase. I have received numerous compliments about this car. It is a very comfortable ride with beautiful interior features. Luxury cars costing many thousands more dollars are no better than the XG350 as far as I am concerned.

I am just thrilled with my new XG350L. It is midsize, but totally luxurious. Other than a slight rattle in the moonroof when open, it came with no defects. And the quality of the materials is obvious. It has so many special features and drives so smoothly. The transmission is seamless. The seats are very comfortable (leather) and the driver's seat slides back to let you out just as in the Lincoln. All at a price well under $25,000. including a 10 year/100,000mile bumper/bumper warranty and LoJack (these are options I chose.)

Looked around and test drove BMW, Lexus, Honda, and Camry. The sales people at those dealers weren't reasonable and they just wanted my wallet. Went to a Hyundai dealer, no hassel, no pressure, and great people. XG350L had more standard features compared to other brands and it was an AWESOME value! After purchasing it, I drove to a mountain... handles & responds VERY well!

Just purchased the last 2002 on the lot. This car is amazing! The 3.5L V6 will throw your head back when you punch the accelerator especially if you make use of the shiftronic(awesome toy). It has all the options you could want combined with spaciousness and comfort. The salesman Vic K. at Fox Hyundai in Grand Rapids, MI was outstanding. He made the experience much more enjoyable than any of the other dealerships we visited. Thanks Vic!!! Do you self a favor and save $10K-15K for a comparable car. I cannot imagine these Hyundai deals will last forever.

Recently leased a new XG 350, black with all the bells and whistles!! It is a beauty! Looks more like a luxury car than many of the true luxury cars on the road. I'm hoping the transmission will begin to change less noticably, that is the only little quirk I have with it. I can hardly believe all the extras and features that were standard! I could never have all these extras in a Altima, Accord, Passat, Camry without paying a good deal more.

My last two cars were a Toyota Corolla, and a Toyota Camry. I would have purchased a Toyota Avalon. I waited two years for them to build one with black or dark grey interior. When a friend told me of his good fortune with Hundai, I decided to take a look. I am glad I listened and went with the Hundai.

This is an awesome car for 22K. I compared it with a 2003 Altima 21S and Accord LX w/ leather, prices for these cars are around 23K. Most car review magazines compare the XG350 to V6 of these models, which is ridiculous cause those trims will run you over 27K. Besides more power and torque than the Accord LX and Altima 21S, the XG350 is packed with features like a $140 dollars Michelin Tires, Auto Climate Control, and ShifTronics. The styling is clean and timeless. This car rocks.

We looked at several near-lux cars. The XG350L stood up to all of them for far less money with a better warranty. We got a very good price and a decent trade-in allowance for our old car. We also got Hyundai 2.9% financing for 48 months. It was the most pleasant buying experience and we have owned many cars over the years. The car is smooth and quiet, handles our rural roads very well and it a joy on the interstate. A very under-rated car! Car loafs along at higway speeds, about 2200 RPM at 70 mph! We got 24 MPG on first tank of gas with very spirited driving. A Lexus at 2/3 of the price!

I've owned Honda and Nissan products and were very pleased with them. I decided to give Hyundai a chance so I could get a few more creature comforts without breaking my piggy-bank open. I must say that I am more than pleased with my decision. I have over 80000 miles on my XG350L and have never had it in the shop for anything. No other car I've ever owned was as comfortable, powerful and agile as the XG. Without question, the XG is the best deal in its class.

I went looking at the Nissan Altima, Honda Accord, and Toyota Camry. My budget allowed for only a low end version with 4 cylinder. Before I bought, I went and drove the 03 Sonata and was quite impressed. I then realized that I could probably get a XG350L for about what I was going to pay for a low end Altima with a 4 cylinder. For the price the value was too hard to pass up. Had the car now for a week and looking forward to the next several months. I have had a guy driving VW passat, a BMW, and a Mercedes pull up beside me and try to figure out what I was driving. I wanted to hold up several thousand dollars to show them what I saved!

After an auto accident totaled my Acura, I looked at the Acura, Lexus, Nissan and Mazda. When my lease broker asked me to test drive a XG350L, I was pleasantly surprised at the ride, multiple luxury standard features, the warranty, the price and its appearance. The front end resembles a Jacquar, Infiniti or Lincoln. I was so impressed that I decided to buy the vehicle. I continue to enjoy its handling, quick response and smooth ride. For the price, this is an outstanding vehicle. When my CD changer went bad, it was quickly replaced by the dealer under the warranty. The service persons were professional and cordial.

We own 3 Hyundais in my family, 2 of which are XG300L's. Both my father and I are thrilled with the quality of this automobile. . We fell in love with this car on looks at first. Still to this day, we have several people approaching us to ask us about the car. Friends and strangers alike give good long stares at our vehicles. One of my purchasing considerations, was that the design had to be long lasting. Mission accomplished. Surely enough the new engine is more generous and has a much better take off from a stop. I am 25 years old and do find the ride a bit soft, but the quality and quietness of the ride is a better trade off.

A Jag for HALF

Jag S claims a 5.3 second 0-60 vs. a XG350 0-60 of 7.7 seconds. Being an avid driver I have done the unoffical test myself and the Jag will beat the XG but by less than 1 second... $47,096 vs. $24,000 for similar performance and comfort is hideous. I found the Jag to be tighter in turns and grip the corners better but the ground clearance is 20% less so suspension is not the only factor. I liked the styling of the XG and was happy with the materials inside. Since the warrany is so comprehensive the risk is minimal. I remember the Toyota's of the 70's retaining their value...until everone woke up...WAKE UP!!!

Much impressed by the compariosn of Elanta with Corolla with $4300 less, I made no mistake by choosing XG350L for Camry or Accord. Mine was a Demo car. It has every option already installed with $6000 less than its market price. What else it could wish for. With a price which could have fetched me fully loaded CIVIC, I got much much more than that. And with previous experince of Hyundai, I have no doubt about this one. I love it.

I love my car but I hate the amount I paid for it $26,000 plus a 2.9% interest rate. My saleswomen and her manager laughed all the way to the bank, I'm sure and I would never refer A2 Hyundai to ANYONE. I love driving it but it has a couple of significant problems interior noise on the X-ways causing you to have to turn up the volume to hear radio, CDs or tape, the CD player needs to have warm CDs before it plays well and just recently I noticed a very harsh sound from the engine but it has been extremely cold lately.

Looking for a new car? No one would have convinced me I'd have ended up in a Hyundai. But after 6 test drives i took the plunge into XG350L zone. I have 30'000 miles and besides a front headlight bulb burning out and the interior door section popping up when the door closed (both fixed by dealer) I can say that this car is the "bang for the buck" real deal. From it's pick up off the line, it's loaded bells and whistles in the cab, and styling (except as i agree with others the rear end needs remodeling) it has been wonderful. Try this one if your in the new car market you'll see why all these reviews praise it.

Hyundai is not a joke anymore! I was astonished while doing research for a new car that had many luxury car features without the luxury car price, that the Hyundai XG350L kept popping up. I had never even considered a Hyundai. One drive led to another & then a purchase. I am very pleased with this car. It is very quiet, has great pickup, is extremely comfortable, and has all the things you would expect in a luxury car except the high price tag.

This is our first Hyundia and were impressed with the 350L's white/tan looks, warranty and no interest loan option. We've driven 8000 miles so far, mostly long trips, and have enjoyed the comfort, lack of any major problems and people asking what kind of car we have. We have been averaging 25 mpg which seems low but may improve. We were disapointed that the doors don't lock when started on put in gear.

I am adding this review, because after 26,000 miles, I am seeing much better gas mileage than I did when the car was new. I am getting close to 26 MPG on the highway and never under 22 in the city, even though I drive it fairly hard.

VERY pleased with this car. I've owned a Mercury Sable, Chrylser Cirrus, Chrysler New Yorker, Honda Accord, and a Benz. This is the best of the lot. Ample power, surprizing pick-up (lots of low-end torque), all the amenities. Roomy cabin. Very comfortable for short hops or long trips with dual power adjustable front seats. Heated seats are nice in winter. Was never a fan of moonroofs before, but I'm a convert now. Decent enough stereo. 8-CD changer in the trunk is a nice touch, too. No difficulties or problems of any kind in 18 months and almost 20,000 miles.

I feel like I found out some secret, a car of this quality and luxury for that price. Sticker was 27k, I paid 23.2k. It has everything. Nice ride, great stereo system, good quality leather, nice european interior styling, a very smooth car to drive. So quiet. Everyone is shocked to find out its a Hyundai. Must be a stigma to that name. If your thinking about one, go for it, you will be glad you did.
