2025 Hyundai Tucson SUV Consumer Reviews

So much to like about this SUV…
Having rented a 2024 Tucson Limited Hybrid for two weeks this past summer, one thing I noticed was that the dash and center console design made my wife and I feel cramped and a bit claustrophobic. With my brand new 2025 Tucson SEL, the re-designed dash and center console are so much more open. Buttons and knobs make A/C and entertainment controls so much easier than the touch screen controls in the 2024 model. I’ve read “professional” reviews claiming that the Tucson’s 2.5-liter engine is “sluggish”, but I must respectfully disagree. The transmission was a bit awkward initially, but after some time and after driving my Tucson back and forth to work every day, I’ve learned how to apply the proper amount of gas pedal to get very peppy acceleration, even in the most challenging driving situations. Will the 2025 win any Top Fuel races? No, but it will have more than enough acceleration to safely merge with highway traffic and/or pass slower vehicles on the interstate. The digital screen does a nice job of displaying cluster and infotainment information. The display resolution is extremely good and moving between the apps is quick. Cluster info clear and concise. Ride feel is incredibly smooth and steering is very responsive. Cloth interior is very nicely done and quite comfortable. Sound-proofing is very good and wind noise is mostly nonexistent. The interior space is very roomy and it gives you the feeling that you’re in a bigger SUV. Add to that the amazing warranties that come from Hyundai and there’s really nothing to dislike. If you’re in the market for a new compact SUV, I highly recommend the Tucson.

Stay away!
I have had my 2025 Tuscon since August. It has been towed 3 times back to the dealership. A module has been removed and my engine light keeps coming on. Still waiting for a fix. This is November !

Electronics are glitchy
Car is pretty good, but electronics are glitchy which is a huge problem for me because I bought the car for the ease of using CarPlay, Google Maps, etc, and often CarPlay glitches out or the screen goes black, and is unresponsive, and I am driving in the middle of a new place and have to pull over or pull out my phone and turn off bluetooth and navigate holding the phone, which is dangerous and stressful. I have spent three months trying to get a dealer to fix this and they seem unable to figure out whether its the "unit" or the "screen" - apparently they are sold as separate units. So I am still drivind around with glitchy electronics.

Its a LEMON please dont buy
i got this car, from day1 its a problem. I bought the base 2.5L engine, very sluggish, weird gear shifts and grinding noise. when i complained to the dealership they act as if they dont hear the grinding sound. horrible service. whenever i need to pass on the highway now i have to put on manual down 2/3 gears and then pass and move it to automatic. the communication is the highlight the screen goes blank often and they say its a apple car play problem. USB doesn't connect to media, when we complain no action taken. Basically its a useless car and im regretting my decision of getting this car. if there is a negative star i could have given this is not even worth 1 star.

never again
Keeping it simple, atrocious gas milage - Eco mode, 18 mpg city, 23 hwy: Loud rattle behind instrument panel, required louder media to overcome: door edge trim peeling off all four doors: transmission shift quirky inconsistant. All this at 1700 miles. $39500 bad purchase
