Great car, dissappointing gas mileage
Buying Experience: We researched the Tucson Hybrid Limited and Toyota Rav4 Hybrid carefully. Though I was more attracted to the Rav's better gas mileage, in the end, it came down to Hyundai's significantly better warranty. It took almost a year to receive our 2023 Tucson and we "survived" a very frustrating buying environment, where ALL Hyundai and Toyota dealers for a 200-mile radius were adding significant "market conditions" mark-ups ($3k - $5k) over MSRP (Dayton, OH). Some dealers hid their mark-ups as "dealer installed options" that weren't optional (i.e. fabric/paint protector, etc.) and weren't mentioned until well into the buying process. We paid "only" $1,200 over MSRP for dealer installed, no-value-to-me options that we didn't want, but it was the best deal we could find. Car Equipment: Having decided to buy a Limited version for the first time in our lives, we have been very happy with the features and comfort of this car. Though my wife has initially been a little more tentative about some of the tech features (lane centering, adaptive cruise, multiple audio warnings, etc.). I have driven several rental cars with these features and have been comfortable from day 1. Our sales rep did spend an hour with us to go over the tech, but it was very overwhelming for my wife. This would take her several sessions if I was not able to assist. Nearly all controls are touch sensitive vs. knobs/dials, and that's a very subjective issue for most people. I have had no issues with audio and environmental controls...not to mention you can do nearly all controls via voice command if you prefer. We are very satisfied with the comfort of the seats and all the touch-points. The back seats are very comfortable and offer plenty of leg/head room for people up to, I'm guessing, about 6', even with the front seats being quite far back. The rear seats also recline for the comfort of passengers on longer trips. The cargo area is surprisingly big for a car of this size, and it seems huge with the back seats folded forward. Additionally, the load height is fairly low for an SUV and we've been able to get even heavy things in/out with no problem. Car Performance and Driving Impressions: I'm very satisfied with the driving performance and comfort of the vehicle. Acceleration onto the highway is more than adequate, maybe even impressive. The handling seems excellent for an SUV. I also own a Mustang GT, so I'm not comparing with a Prius or something like that. We previously owned an Elantra GT, and the steering/handling seemed OK, but certainly not great; sort of a "dead" feel at the steering wheel and I was a bit disappointed for something with "GT" in the title. This car handles significantly better and has better road-feel in all conditions. The hybrid is AWD and I have driven it extensively in snow over the past week. It has a "snow mode", but it performed admirably in snow, ice, and slushy conditions without even putting it in snow mode (I have a 4WD Ford Ranger to compare with). Maybe I didn't press it hard enough, but I honestly couldn't tell the difference when it was in snow mode. The lane centering and adaptive cruise is very smooth compared with other makes/models I've driven with those features, and does not make jerky or abrupt corrections to lane or speed. The one significant negative and the reason for the 4-star rating is the gas mileage. We are both very conservative drivers who do not typically make jackrabbit starts/stops. In fact, I have purposely driven VERY conservatively over the last two tankfuls in mixed city/highway driving and we can NOT do any better than 30 MPG. In fact, this second tank is showing as 29 MPG average on the dash indicator. I will do a manual check of gas mileage next time I fill it, but I doubt the computer is very far off, if at all. This is really disappointing to me and I certainly could not recommend the car IF your number 1 factor is the gas mileage. Overall, the car is the nicest we've ever owned, so we're still OK with it, but I certainly hope the gas mileage gets better as the car breaks in further. It is possible that the very cold weather (lots of below 0 temps over the past couple of weeks) has negatively affected the mileage as the combustion engines runs a little more to help warm up the car and run all the accessories. Time will tell and I will add an update when I have more gas mileage data to consider. UPDATE 5 July 23 We have now driven the car about 6,000 miles and have taken a couple 5-6 hour road trips and are still very happy with the features, comfort, and driving performance of the car. The gas mileage has been better in around town and mixed driving (sometimes up to 37), but it's still unimpressive on the mostly highway trips (32-33). Overall, I would give the car a 4.5-star rating due to the gas mileage mostly under performing the estimates. I'm sure most people wouldn't care as much, but the predicted fuel economy was a major reason we bought the car.

Thoughtful Engineering
Test drove both a Tucson SEL AWD (no Convenience Pkg) and a Mazda CX-5 S Preferred. I picked these 2 specific model-trims because they are the highest trim avail without having to upgrade to a large wheel-saves gas, softer ride over bumps, and cheaper to replace the tires. Actually, I find Edmunds' recommended trims are quite helpful (btw, the passenger seat in the Tucson SEL is only 4-way adjustable: front/back and recline-no height adjustment). Ultimately I got the Tucson mainly because of the Hyundai 0% APR financing. I find Tucson's driving dynamics quite close to that of CX-5 (which was suppose to be "fun/zoom-zoom"), enough that the extras in seating/cargo space, safety/convenience features, ease of use for cluster/infotainment system made the Tucson an equal if not a better pick. I did not test drive the Honda CR-V (too few in stock) nor the Toyota RAV4 (too noisy and utilitarian in design based on reviews). The Tucson SEL I am /reviewing driving is assembled in US. Just as an FYI, based on the window stickers for the Tucson's that I have inspected, it appears that the ones delivered to dealers earlier for the 2023 model year were made and assembled in Korea, with 95% parts from Korea. Where as the ones delivered more recently being assembled in Alabama with 50% part from US/CAN, and in particular, both the transmission and engine were made in US. A few weeks in, still learning to use many of the new features. Getting about 27+mpg on mostly city driving based on the trip info-which is amazing considering my 2013 Elantra got the same. The 8-speed transmission shifts very logically and smoothly. In fact, I find that it automatically tries to hold the gear going down hill to provide more breaking (I had to put my old car in manual to keep it from accelerating on a decent). Glad to have the shift style gear selector on the regular SEL trim than the push-button style. Am still not used to the electronic parking brake button-there is a delay btw pulling it and the dash gauge confirming, makes me thinking maybe I did not pull up on the button long enough. The functions for the combination of buttons/nobs/dials to touch-screen controls for system menu and infotainment is just about right. I find the wireless charging pad in-efficient and generates quite a bit of heat when using CarPlay at the same time. Good thing that you can turn off the wireless charging from setting (Hyundai actually thought of that :) Like the fact that I can set warning volume/timing and whether you want each safety/convenience feature warning only/system assist/off. As you may have heard from numerous auto reviewers, the layout of the system menu and traversal is logical, simple and easy to understand and to use. I like the fact that Hyundai spells out each feature in setting selections instead of using acronyms like that of Honda/Toyota-who can remember them?! If I don't know what something is then I would be afraid to change it-not everybody has a gen-z kid that is willing to help out. The front doors have 3-stage opening while the rear doors only have 2. This makes a difference when parking inside the garage where you don't have much room. Most people can get in-n-out with the 2nd stage for the front-doors. However, the 1st stage for the rear doors is just too hard. Thus you will need to hold the back door open to get in-n-out of tight spots. Something to think about if you have people with mobility issues or if you often get stuff in-n-out of the back seat/floor, especially on a rainy day/in a tight parking.

10 months new and still love this SUV
Approaching its first birthday! Urban driving for the most part. We have taken one thousand mile trip. Simply and excellent SUV. Beautifully designed. The interior quality is excellent. The integration of the large screen is nicely done. The interior is nicer than Toyota and comparable to much more expensive cars. The safety features are great. Superb Bose sound system. Panoramic sunroom gives the interior a wonderful airy feel. The acceleration is there when you need it. Can be fun. Handling is very good. Storage space is excellent. Fuel milage is good and seems to be getting better as the engine is broken in. We are very happy with our Tucson Hybrid Limited.

Well Worth the Wait!
Ordered last June, thanks to repeated shipping & delivery delays, finally received last week. Initial impression: build quality, technology, sound proofing, ride quality, fit & finish are exceptional. Averaging about 34 MPG, mostly highway driving. Time will tell if/when that improves. Well worth the wait. Will update after I've had more time with the vehicle.

Love it more than Santa Fe
I just traded my 2022 Santa Fe lease in early to purchase the Tucson SEL with convenience package which has all the same features for $5k less. Both vehicles are now very close in size so you don’t lose space with the Tucson. It is sportier but very comfortable and seems to have more back seat leg room. It’s a gorgeous car and so much more fun to drive than the Santa Fe. No acceleration lag at all and better gas mileage. I do prefer how the Santa Fe instrument panels are laid out. I wish they had mimicked that in the Tucson but I can live with it since it exceeds the Santa Fe in other areas. We will see how reliable it is, I will update after a year of ownership. So far I'm glad I switched to the Tucson. Some cons after 6 months of ownership - I only have 3 minor complaints so far. The instrument panel is still annoying, the back seat cup holders are too small and we need more of them. Also when the sunroof is open I have to crack a window or it’s a wind tunnel. Pro - It stopped on a dime for a deer in the road at 65mph. I was impressed with how well it handled.

A++++++ REDESIGNED TUCSON LIMITED
Came out of a leased 2020 Tucson Ultimate and bought the 2023 Tucson Limited! It’s completely redesigned and sleek and sharp interior dash and center console are amazing! The amount of safety features & upgrades are plentiful, leaving you wanting for nothing more! The illuminated floor boards and the interior ambient color changing lighting make this reasonably priced car feel like you’re in a luxury vehicle! My husband wanted me to buy the Cadillac XT4 and I just couldn’t bring myself to like it as much as I love this new Tucson Limited!

Comfort and style at a reasonable price!
I only have owned my 2023 Tucson SEL Convenience for 3 weeks, but what stands out is how quiet, smooth and comfortable it is. It has great visibility and has a roomy cabin with plenty of storage. I am currently averaging about 28 mpg around town and as high as 33 mpg on 55 mph roads. It's not as quick as the BMW X3 it replaced, but for some reason, I find it much more enjoyable on long trips and I'm hoping it won't become the maintenance headache of the X3.

Best value I found
2023 Tucson SEL with the Convenience Package. I agree with the review here, except for one thing: "Sluggish acceleration from the base 2.5-liter engine" How you can describe the 2.5L as "Sluggish" is beyond me. I guess 200hp in a Mid-Sized SUV with an 8 Speed Automatic isn't good enough anymore? "The Tucson accelerated from 0 to 60 mph in 10.2 seconds" I don't know what Tucson you got, but mine hits 60 way quicker than 10.2 seconds. Either way, Relax Mario Andretti.. its a Mid-Sized SUV, not a sports car.. but to call it sluggish is quite simply untrue. Everything else, spot on.. The SEL with the Convenience Package has more than generous options for the $32,500 price tag. More room than you would thing in the back seats. The cargo space is good. Handling and ride are great. I honestly couldn't find a better value for the money. I've never owned a Hyundai, but I do now, and I am very happy with it.

Comfortable, roomy, quiet and easy to drive!
I have had the Tucson SEL for about 2 weeks and I love it! It drives better than a lot of cars: it has crisp, small turn radius. It is very easy to park and maneuver in smaller spaces. An evening of driving in rain/snowy/icy conditions resulted in increasing confidence in the Tucson SEL AWD: the tread was sure and steady; no slippage. I was comfortably able to drive at posted speed limits, passing a more than a few slower vehicles. The Tucson is comfortable, roomy and quiet. I could hear my music very well. The 8 way power adjustable driver seat allowed me to get the exact driving position I wanted. The head room was very generous. I like 37-79 cubic feet of storage space. If you're an enthusiast then you probably won't like the slower acceleration, but I found it more than good for my needs. I consider myself an experienced driver, who appreciates a great vehicle. The only thing I would nit pick is the 27 mpg overall. But overall I love my 2023 Hyundai Tucson SEL!

2023 Tucson Limited - Great Small SUV
Have the vehicle for about 3 weeks. So far so good. Positives - very smooth ride, very quiet on the highway, lot's of tech, great looking inside and out, handles well. Cons - mostly minor but everyone should be aware - 1. memory seats do not include the side mirrors. 2. side mirrors do not tilt down in reverse. 3. Radio preset buttons are virtual (no hard buttons) and layout cannot be customized or arranged to one's preferences. 4. Sirius/Xm radio does not have feature of tagging of artists or songs. 5. Acceleration could be better.

Great but…
Just got my vehicle after waiting a long time to get it delivered. Not complaining about that, but the A/C was not working. Brand new car with a problem already that shouldn’t be unless its a new thing out of the makers that I didnt know. Took it back and I am currently waiting to hear from the service department. Love the car but I didnt go for a brand new one just for it to have a problem already. If it is a new thing from the makers, at least the dealer needs to get it right before it gets to the owner. Other than that, the features, how it rides, how it feels, overall its a great car to own.

Love my Tucson Hybrid
Love the roominess, smooth ride, power, great fuel economy since I’m coming from a mini van that got 18mpg. I love all the safety features. Comfy ride. I’m so glad they added the power hatch to the 2023 hybrid blue trim this year. Much needed feature. All around very very happy with my Tucson hybrid!!
Great car at a great price
The Hyundai Tucson Limited offers every feature you could ever want in a car and they do it at under 40k. I don't think there's a better SUV for the money on the market today. It drives smooth, the seats are very comfortable and the safety features are amazing. The only minor issue I have with the car is that it's somewhat sluggish. It's not as bad in sport mode but in normal mode it takes a second to accelerate which can make pulling out into traffic and passing cars a bit more difficult than some other SUVs in its class. I started my car search with 8 cars on my list and I got pricing on and test drove all eight over 3 months. As I said the Tucson Limited was superior to all of them in every way with the exception of acceleration so getting the Tucson was an easy decision and one I'm very happy I made.

Very good overall!
I owned a 2013 Kia Optima and now with two kids, I needed a larger vehicle. I had no problems with my Optima and was leaning towards a Kia Sorento with the 3rd row being the kicker for the kids. I did some real thorough research and compared the Sorento to a few different cars (Tucson, RAV4, CR-V). The RAV4 base model was more than the others, and I had an 06 CR-V and loved it, but the price for the trim I wanted was high. In comparing the features and costs, I saw that I could get everything in the Tucson that I wanted in the Sorento but for $3-4k less (I would lose the 3rd row, but my wife and I were fine with that and we could trade out in the future if need be). I test drove the Tucson and I enjoyed it, so I went with it. I went with the SEL AWD with the Convenience Package (gas model). The exterior is very stylish and I like the Amazon Grey color (the green tint really makes it eye-catchy). The convenience package also gives it the 19-inch wheels which I think makes it look and feel better. The power liftgate is GREAT! I love how you can open and close it with a button. You can still manually open it, but I get a kick out of the power function. The interior looks elegant with the leatherette seating and large touch-screen. The seats are comfortable for long and short trips, and I like how the back seats can recline. They don't have a sunglasses holder which is a bummer, but there IS an aftermarket option available to put one in. The console area is large so you can put a good amount in there. The cargo in the rear is spacious and can fit a good amount (it's a little bigger than my wife's Chevy Equinox), and you can fit way more with putting the seats down, but most folks should be able to get away with just the back. I like the sunroof options as it's just a basic sunroof (I've read mixed things on the panoramic ones). The ride is quiet and comfortable. Riding over potholes isn't too bad either. I've read a lot about the lackluster engine, and this was a major consideration since I have a lead foot. The CR-V and the RAV4 do have better engines (turbo-charged but still better), and if Hyundai at least went on par with the HP in the gas model, then it would be much better, but for what it's worth, it's really not THAT bad. The Sport drive mode makes a load of difference; it feels looser overall and you can punch the gas better, and I've noticed with the normal mode, it acclimates to your own style. It's something you'll need to get used to, but again, it's fine to me. I like the safety features, and I like how you can adjust them off completely or just a simple warning. The lane-keep assist is nice, but it can be too sensitive (if you're trying to drive around a cyclist, for instance, it doesn't recognize that and can lean you back in too quickly). This is one you CAN adjust, which is good. The backup camera has a good visual area, and I like the parking camera button feature. I get a real kick out of the speed limit feature (it really senses the speed limit sign well and notes it on the screen). The infotainment system is sweet. It's fully touch with the volume and tune knobs acting as scroll wheels, and that's an adjustment, but the steering wheel volume/station buttons are good fallbacks. You also have digital gauges with the convenience package, and the themes are limited but pretty cools. The radio screen can take a couple seconds to load and move around, but it's not unbearable. I like how it has all your favorites in the menu (FM/AM/SiriusXM) which makes it easier for station changing. I love that it had HD Radio standard (wasn't available on the other ones unless you went to way higher trims), as the sound quality is better and you get additional stations. The sound quality is very good overall for the trim. Bluetooth isn't an issue and the calls sound good. The microphones are above you so they can hear you fine. The wireless charge option is good for compatible phones. The Bluelink features are very nice (I can remote start and adjust the climate settings appropriately), but I wish it came standard rather than have it for a 3-year period before you have to subscribe. I love the remote start option (given that it's factory not aftermarket), and the range is larger than what is said in the manual from what I've seen. I like the dual climate system a lot. It's nice that you can adjust individual settings and sync them for the whole car too. It cools the car pretty quickly and even a high fan speed is bearable. The warranty was also a positive for me here. Can't really beat a 10-year warranty (you can match it with Kia mostly), and the included maintenance put it over the top. I have about 1100 miles on the car now and I like it. I'm curious how it will fare in the winter (I bought it end of April), but regardless, if you're in the market for a small SUV, this should be on your short list, at the very least.

hyundai tucson audio problems - be aware
This line of vehicles have a problem where the audio system will stop working completely. Hyundai have no solution for this problem, and they are not willing to do anything about it nor provide any time estimate on when/if they will ever address it. you can search the internet to find many angry owners with the same problem.

Really 3.5 Stars. An upgrade, but disappointing.
I enjoyed our 2019 Hyundai Tucson Ultimate so much that I knew that I would buy it off lease, which I did. I've long thought that with a couple of tweaks to that Tucson you'd have a nearly perfect vehicle. Well I give Hyundai credit, they've made those tweaks: this vehicle is slightly bigger, slightly longer, with more room in the rear seat and cargo area, and with MORE luxury features. The styling has really grown on me, and overall this vehicle is more than comparable to the several Acuras I've owned. The Hybrid Limited has all the stuff on it you could ever want, bigger wheels with lower profile tires, and the all wheel drive makes this the most zippy & nimble vehicle of its type I've ever driven. In heavy city stop and go driving, we are averaging 27 MPG over the first 1500 miles, which is an 80% improvement over the 2019 model with the 2.4 l ICE engine. In most ways, after a couple months I think this is the best vehicle I've ever owned. So why only 3.5 stars? It's not immediately apparent upon test driving, but the seats are uncomfortable. The driver seat has a very awkward curved nature to it as you settle in, which seems to force the headrest into your head and neck area no matter how high or low it is adjusted. It's as if I want to sit up straight but can't, because the headrest is pushing my head and neck forward. I would literally be more comfortable if I took the headrest off. No amount of adjustment helps. Even with the lumbar support fully inflated, it's difficult for me to find a comfortable upright position (I'm 6'1, 240). I am somewhat of a seat fiddler in any vehicle, but with the '23 Tucson it's impossible to get the adjustment exactly right. Pretty weird. Unfortunately that's not the only disappointment with the seats. One of my favorite features from the 2019 is the rear seats with adjustable upright support. Even with limited space, that recline made the rear seats much more habitable, and that feature carries over to the 2023 model. On the '19 ICE seats are comfortable on long drives for people of any size and weight. I never minded waiting for my kids swim practice, because I would actually spread out in the rear seat, lean it back and get some work done. However -- in this 2023 Hybrid model, they have to put the battery somewhere, and it's underneath the rear seat. Your butt can feel that you're sitting on a hard surface after about 15 minutes, as opposed to a typical sprung, upholstered seat bottom, which apparently they've left out. Eventually you just feel like you're sitting on a hard box. Super, super uncomfortable. I can't take it for more than 2 hours, so I don't know how anybody could make a long family drive in these rear seats. As fun as it is to drive this vehicle, and as functional and practical as it is - I already know that I will not be buying it off lease. I hope this is something they can correct in the future. Hell I wish it was something they could correct right now, as I really like my car!

Phantom LTD
The vehicle shows its road manners and looks like no other especially at under 40k.Rommy and just the right size in the back seat and for most loading, The LTD large screens integrated is EV like. Bose sound system is excellent, the paint job is second to none (note a ceramic coating even a better deep look and easy to clean) This really is a nice machine highly recommend.
Seats are deteriorating. One year old!
My pleather seats, both front driver & passenger sides began deteriorating in the same exact spot on both sides. This started happening about 18,000 miles on it. Hyundai Motor Corp denied our claim. I was told it was due to "outside" forces. Seriously, I mean c'mon. Just fix it, is all I ask. I've been buying Hyundai's, exclusively, since 2000. I doubt I will ever buy another one. They do not abide by their warranty. Watch out guys!

2023 Limited After 6 Months and 8500 Miles
I needed a car quickly. My 2017 X3 was a total loss and I had to evaluate and buy from limited inventory on everything. Hyundai did not mark up the MSRP like others did/do in October 2022. We recently completed a 3500 mile road trip so I got to know the car much more intimately. I was very pleased averaging 33 MPG over the entire 3 week trip and several fill up intervals averaged 35 MPG typically traveling at 70-80 MPH on highways. Around town I get 26-28 MPG. And unlike my X3 I can fill up with regular fuel. The ride was very comfortable, two adults and two dogs, golf clubs, golf cart, coolers, and bags. The rear hatch area is very spacious and we didn't need to use a roof carrier. AC performed well in the southern heat, ventilated seats were a great touch. I love the heated steering wheel for the winter, something my X3 did not have. Bose sound was great and Sirus Radio was helpful. AppleCar play for Podcasts and Waze for Navigation. I prefer Waze over the in built navigation. BlueLink works wonders for me locking, locating and starting my car for cold days and warm. Lots of configuration options with the Limited, almost overwhelming at first but when set up it's nice. Lots of tech safety that can be Active, Warning or Off. Handling is ok, not BMW like. Braking feels good. As reviewed the car is underpowered. It's not quick to get up to speed and takes some thought and time to pass. The improved fuel efficiency is the trade off that I can accept today. I had my first service recently. Although my Hyundai dealer does not wash and vacuum my car like my former BMW dealer did, I didn't spend $100+ for a simple oil change :) I'm happy with the purchase and plan to keep the car for 3-5 years. I hope my next car has a plug and range greater than what is on the market today.

Regret purchase
Rides great, fuel economy is sub-par even for an AWD non-hybrid, my friend has the hybrid version and averages about 4-5 MPG better than me. I’m averaging around 23 in normal around-town driving in a fairly hilly area. Constant problems with the infotainment system rebooting/freezing up/glitching to a white screen. Occasionally, Apple car play works. USB connection charges phones only, will not recognize the phone as a media device no matter how many reboots and software updates I do. Auto-braking system gets confused on tight curves and goes off, will slam on my brakes if I’m not going fast enough. Horn goes off for no reason when I park and walk away. Interior plastic trim scratches very very easily, car isn’t even a year old and looks kinda worn out compared to my older RAV4. Hyundai is on par with an American car, nowhere near Japanese levels of quality. Fine if that’s all you expect, but fifteen years of Toyotas have spoiled me. I wouldn’t buy this car again. I won’t get rid of it out of spite or anything, it’s just an appliance, but I wish it worked and held up better. *update: sold car at a loss to buy a Toyota Venza. More expensive but better dealer service department. 10y/100k mile warranty is worthless if the dealership can’t work on your broken down car for a month. They know what’s they’re doing, Hyundai is a scam, and so are their junk cars. Finally had enough of this Tucson applying brakes driving around town and constantly getting flipped then bird because people thought I was brake-checking them.

Transmission failure
Car less then 10000 miles and 7 months old and needs transmission replaced. Service had car for 4 days before looking at it and no loaners available. Need 2 more weeks possible for repair.
Horrible Experience! Buyer Beware!
We purchased a brand new Tucson Plug-in in July 2023 all the bells and whistles. In September 2023 with only 2600 miles on it, it slid into neutral and got stuck. My brand new car was non-functioning and I had it towed to the closest dealer! After a week, with no loaner car or rental car provision, they returned my car and said they couldn’t find anything wrong! After 5 weeks of trying to work with Hyundai corporate (I can’t even use the term Customer Service because it’s non-existent), I was told that my case was not valid for a replacement vehicle or any reimbursement of my expenses (although this was promised). Buyer beware. Obviously problems with the Hyundai Tucson and zero customer service.

First off, if the issues to be mentioned are not important to you this car is a good one. Drives well, comfortable. And, when driving back roads (I live in a rural areas) at 64mph mostly I am getting 36mpg consistently. At highway speeds it tends to go down to about 29. The issues (at least for me): 1 As mentioned in another review, when you set the memory seat it only sets forward and backward movement to the seat. This is the first car I have EVER been in that, when you set memory seats, the outside mirrors are ignored. Which actually makes the memory buttons redundant as there is already a button to the side of the seat to do just this exactly. Since ther is a button to set the mirrors and another to move the seats it seems that should only be a software or firmware issue that could be easily upgraded. 2 Every car I have ever owned has defaulted to the radio screen when the car is cranked. Not so this vehicle. You get a disclaimer screen that stays on for about 10-15 sec (you can hit a button to remove it, EVERY time), then the screen is black except for the radio station playing in the left lower corner. 100% of the time when I crank up I want to go to the radio screen. With all of the various options on this vehicle you would think that defaulting the infotainment screen to radio would be one. Not so. The screen is a touch screen so, if you miss the exact spot you have to hit it again...and maybe again... These first two issues, if I had known about them, would have been deal-breakers for me and this car. Once you get past all the buttons, and resetting the outside mirrors every time someone else drives the car (we were down to one car for a few months so it happened a lot!) it is a nice car to drive. Minor issues: 1 Auto high beams have to be reset every time you turn the car off. I don't understand this either. I have found myself on back roads wondering why the lights are not brighter to find the auto high beams are not on. Not hard to turn them on but I don't understand why they would ever need to be off. 2 Homelink does not work when the car if off. I understand this was a conscious decision on Hyundai's part as a safety issue so that someone could not break into your car, parked in the driveway, and then get into your house. Not sure why that has become an issue with Hyundai but no other car maker. Oh, well, like I said, minor issue. All that said, if I had to do it over again, I would be driving something else today and would likely be much happier. It's the little things sometimes (all the time??)

Surprising roomy and handles so well!
I loved, loved my Palisade I bought 3 years ago but I was interested in downsizing. My children are out on their own now and I wanted something smaller but with a roomy feel. The Tucson is perfect and handles so well. So far I am very pleased.

Miss my Honda
I owned Hondas before this. I purchased my 2023 Tucson Limited online and it was the best car buying experience I have ever had. That being said the gas mileage is worse than my v6 all wheel drive 2020 Passport. I have already had the rotors turned after a year and now I’m having them replaced at 23000 mils. I also already have a spot on the passenger side where the carpet has worn through and I rarely have anyone in the car with me. Its is a little slow. I bought it for the features like the panoramic roof and heated and cooled seats. Those are fine but it’s definitely not Honda quality and this will be my last Hyundai.

Love my Tucson Limited!
It has everything any other big brand car has with regards of technology. The sunroof is amazing the 360 degree cameras are great! The fact that I can park my car with the remote in my car is insane! And many other gadgets! I love it!

Exceeded my expectations
This is my first Hyundai purchase and I must say, the more I drive it the more I realize what a great vehicle it is. Tons of features, roomy and stylish. I hear complaints about the sluggish engine. I’m in my 50s and this is a family vehicle and used for daily commute and shopping and so far it has done what I have expected and more. I don’t drive in eco mode as it would constantly change gears. I was thinking of buying a Rav4, but the ridiculous mark ups they have over msrp and lack of standard options I picked the Tuscan and I’m glad I did

2023 Tucson Hybrid all it says it is and more
I like the fact the car 2023 Hyundai Tucson SEL Hybrid come loaded with all the options most car manufacturers charge extra for and more. Example Blue Link for 36 months, 3 months of XM radio,
second time in a row!
from the dealership to the performance, reliability and safety of the automobile, this was the best choice for me from the fouror five cars I researched. it's my second time with a Tucson and I'm not disappointed.

Smart is the name of the game!
Great response in Sport and Smart modes. Comfortable, still good feeling of the road. If you select the SEL trim, you got to go with the Convenience Package as well. Otherwise you probably will be dissatisfied. The Smart mode will learn from your driving mood and will respond accordingly!
Everything is awesome!
I love everything about this car!!! It's small so it's not a huge gas guzzler but it has a ton of room inside. We downsized from a larger SUV but I don't feel like we gave up much room! This car has a lot of additional safety features that I love for my family. I love the new sporty look as well plus the many convenience features. I haven't had this car very long but I love it so much!!!!!

Stuck 50 miles from home. Twice in one year.
Hyundai’s monetary approach to a repair opposed to a common sense and experienced approach to a customer’s safety and well being. My vehicle stopped running while driving on a highway twice in year. The first breakdown’s cause was a faulty fuel injector. Things can happen so repair was made. I was told at the dealer the new injectors had problems. One year later the same breakdown occurred with the same problem with a different injector. I asked.that the remaining injectors should be changed. They would not do what I asked. Under this scenario, the common sense approach would be to replace the balance of the injectors to avoid another breakdown. They took the unsafe financial approach rather than correct and common sense approach which would be what an experienced mechanic would do automatically.
Hyundai Tyson
I bought 2023 Dec 2022. It only has 9000 miles something was tapping took to dealer ship they kept it. That was on a Monday I called Friday. They got approval from Hyundai for new engine. I can’t believe it they did give me a loaner but now I’m worried cause it needs new engine what else.
Great car for a fair price
Handles beautifully, lots of safety features, good gas mileage (hybrid version of the Tucson), roomy and good storage.

Forward thinking design inside and out
We test drove a lot of cards before deciding on this one and Hyundai continues to excel in their design for the cars exterior and interior. I'm not sure we'll buy another brand ever again.

It has wings
We traded our 2019 Tuscon and upgraded to the 2023. Amazing ride, gas mileage is great. Luxurious, spacious sexy design. From the new grill to the interior. Hyundai killed it with the body style safety features. We love this car
So glad to be done with it
I just traded my 2023 Tucson limited for a Subaru Forester Wilderness. I drove 2 hrs to get the Subaru. I have never been so glad to get rid of a car. I lost money on the Tuscon but didn’t care. 23000 miles and already had rotors turned and needed them replaced. Hole in the carpet on passenger side. Overall quality is just poor. This was my first and last Hyundai.

1 year of ownership. Love it. Fun to drive
Just took my car in for his first complimentary maintenance after 1 year of ownership. Have had zero problems with the car. The EPA States I should get 37 MPG overall with my car. But with my first year of ownership the onboard computer says I obtained 38.9 MPG. So I am very pleased. The car is comfortable no squeaks or rattles. I have not detected any defects with the car that had to be corrected. There is a lot of technology in the car and it will take some time to learn it all. But Hyundai provides a lot of videos on how to do a lot of things. Heavily suggest you view them. There is plenty of room behind the second row seats. And it easily fits a wheelchair. The built-in navigation works great. And I do enjoy listening to the built-in satellite radio of course with subscription. I've had to use the four-wheel drive and snow and it handles great. The air conditioning really cools down the cabin quickly. And I have a large moonroof that on nice days let's send plenty of sunshine and fresh air. I've recommended this car to others and my cousin bought a Hyundai Tucson hybrid Limited within the last year based on my recommendation. And she loves it and as a matter of fact her daughter also has one. And you can't beat the value compared to a Toyota RAV4 or a Volkswagen Tiguan. Highly suggest you check it out before purchasing another brand.

Best value is to buy certified
I boughtva 2023 Tucson Limited Certified last week. Only 5k miles and like new. Saved $7,000 over a new 2024. That said it's a nice all around commuter vehicle. Well put together, comfortable, great sound system, panoramic sunroof to brighten the interior. I personally have no issues with the acceleration. While it's no barnburner it has more than enough power for day to day driving. I do have a FWD model and live at near sea level in flat Florida. Maybe its an issue with an AWD model in the mountains. Regardless, the constant complaining from car reviewers isn't at all the case in my experience (and my last car was a Subaru Legacy XT with a 260 HP turbo, so I know what quick is. I test drove base engine models of the Toyota RAV4, Mitsubishi Outlander, Subaru Outback, Mazda CX50, Honda CRV and Volkswagen Taos. The Tucson won out over all those. I think anyone shopping for a compact crossover should definitely have it on their list.
Nice ride
Doesn’t have all the bells and whistles but does pack a lot of nice features in an affordable, driveable and fuel efficient vehicle. Seating is very adequate, although my wife felt the front passenger seat was too low and no way to raise it. Storage similar to my current car (Honda CVR). Power adequate as is the response for acceleration. I didn’t test drive in the freeway, but took curvy back road and the car drove nicely. My current vehicles do not have the electronic array that this car offers so will require a learning curve. Hope to convince my wife to purchase.
Prefer it over my previous....yes, Subaru Forester
I never thought I would buy a Hyundai. However, the warranty, appearance, crispness, and bells and whistles with my Tuscon made it non-arguable. I have owned it for one week and am highly pleased with it. The final test will be to see how it does in the snow and hills of the Northeast. My last 3 new vehicles have been Subaru Foresters, which have NEVER left me stranded in the snow/weather, so some tough competition there.

If I could get this car NO STARS I would!!!!
Brand new 2023 with only 900 miles and the cars engine completely seized! DON’T BUY THIS PIECE OF CRAP!!!!!
Too many poor "convenience" features
Not a bad mid-size SUV, but too many "convenience" features that can't be disabled. These features are either annoying or useless and can't be disabled or turned off. Prefer actual gauges to screens. Fuel indicator is not well-placed. Smart cruise control is overrated and detracts from driving experience. Average MPG indicator is useless and takes up too much real estate on dash. One number would be sufficient. Driver attention and other convenience messages are annoying.
