I got the top of the line '23 Tuscon Limited and tried my best to like it for the last year, but finally threw in the towel last week in favor of a Mazda CX5 Turbo. The sluggishness and lack of responsiveness in the Tuscon gas pedal is unrivaled. I felt unsafe, especially merging into traffic. The instrument panel was completely counterintuitive with the speedometer on the left side (why??), no ability to display the clock on the screen at all times, and very boring home screen. The mirrors should be power folding for the price, and the leather seats felt so thin and cheap. Within a week of owning the car the seat was full of creases, places I'm sure would have split within a few years. The cheap shiny material on the grill started peeling within a few weeks as well. I couldn't get used to the push-button shifter, the door handles were too low, the chrome finish behind the rear windows peeled away from the vehicle. I honestly tried to get used to it all but after just under a year I admitted defeat and will never buy another Hyundai again. It was supposed to be the grown up version of a Kia, but I have never regretted getting rid of the Turbo Sportage more. I drove the Mazda off the lot with a huge sigh of relief and will never look back.

I have a 2023 Hyundai Tuson. 9000 mile I bought in Dec 2022. It’s not what I wanted but wanted the blue. They had one so I got it. Heated seats front and back. Park assist. Well all of a sudden it was making a tapping sound took to dealer on May 12 and said they couldn’t get me in till 29 of May. Well took it back that Monday they kept it called Friday they said they just got new engine approved. I was like a new engine. It’s June 7 still no car they did give me a loaner but I’m just so worried. I am recently widowed and watch my grandkids my youngest one being 3 I was worried about breaking down

Loving the gas mileage farm exceeding my 25 mpg expectation. With normal driving and a mix of city and highway I'm routinely getting 32. Gas engine only. Veery comfortable with excellent features

Just got the 2023 Hyundai Tucson SEL with convenience package. Roomy almost luxurious interior, smooth quiet ride, solid fit and finish, beautiful styling. Comes with many safety features and the several warranties are the best in the business. Highly recommend getting the convenience package, it adds several nice options- power Sun roof, upgraded upholstery, hi-Tex trimmed seats, 10.25 infotainment screen and tires. Very happy with this vehicle.

I just got this car and for the price , it is very good car. It has everything driver needs except for sunglass holder. The car rides very smoothly and for the size of engine, it is pretty good overall.

It's got the power when the rpm is above 2. Yes lil sluggish, but overall it's a fun great comfortable drive. Not a xcomplaint here. Love mine.

Well it was the Se model, so a plain Jane and a good price. But still aii in all I can't believe that in this day and age it wasn't set up for Sirius xm

Pros: good looking and pretty spacious Cons: cheap parts, VERY loud back up noise, you will be embarrassed and definitely talked about behind your back. Terrible warranty turn around. Mileage not as advertised I get about 33mpg advertised at 38. Would not recommend this vehicle.

The car does not get good gas mileage like the window sticker says. The sales person said it would take 2 to 3 thousand mile break in. That never happened. They never told me this until after I got the car, Not a good way to do business. So watch out when looking at this car.

I think the color of cars make it or break it. It was very hard to find my color. Which they never got one in. It was roomy easy to drive and handled good. I was very anxious to get a Tucson Hybrid, but never got one I didn’t want to wait any longer. I got a Toyota Highlander..

2023 Tucson Hybrid Limited, with 7000 miles is comfortable vehicle. I would prefer knobs for basic items. Radio station touch selection is finicky. Glossy screen shows dust, etc. Real highway mileage when driving the interstate 70-75 will drop below 30. The gas motor never shuts down at that speed unless going down a steep hill. In order to get rated mileage a speed of 60 or less is necessary. Could transmission be turned better for highway driving efficiency.

There isn't anything that I don't like, styling is nice, interior is roomy and comfortable. Tech is very nice. Milage for me is as advertised 37 city/highway. I have the Limited hybrid.

I was travelling on Bishop Grandin at Waverley when I slowly started losing speed going from 70 down to 0. Stepping on the gas did nothing. When I reached 30 mph I started getting a message with the warning alarms going crazy alerting me that I had a "Hybrid System Failure".( The gas engine would not cut in. ) ...I was fortunate to be able to pull over three lanes with the other drivers seeing my hazards on and letting me move over. The vehicle was still running but I couldn't move and the hybrid battery system graphics on the info screen showed it being completely depleted. The Murray Hyundai dealership took it for test drives and did not have a problem. Focus where I purchased my vehicle As Paul mentioned in his email, we all follow the same repair procedures but if they have already started it would be recommended to continue at the same dealer so that all the information is in the same place and the same technician can look at it further when the issue occurs.

SUV with 130 Pound Cargo Load Limit

I purchased this Hyundai Tucson Hybrid a year ago (July 2023) after wrecking a Santa Fe I had driven for 15 years. I was fairly satisfied until, two months after purchase, I loaded four 50-pound bags (200 pounds total) of pea gravel into the cargo area. As I was driving home I heard a loud cracking sound and when I opened the tail gait found that the floor had broken from front to back and the sides had lifted so that the floor was now V-shaped. I took the vehicle to my local dealer to see if the floor could be replaced under warranty. The answer was NO! I was told that since I had "interfered" with the part, it was not covered under warranty. America's Best Warranty? Forget that. Also I was shown a tiny tiny label by the tailgate latch with black letters on black background that stated "Max. Load 60 Kg (130 pounds)" . Who makes an SUV with a 130 pound load limit in the cargo area? Apparently Hyundai does! That means an owner weighing more than 130 pounds cannot sleep in the back. The vehicle cannot carry two large dogs, over 130 pounds of landscaping material, over 130 pounds of camping gear, over 130 pounds of anything. In addition, the warning is so small, so hidden with black letters on black background, that you have to have 20/20 vision and a flashlight to see it, and that's if you know it's there and are looking for it. I scoured the Owner's Manual but did not find anything about the cargo area load limit. In addition to the cargo area floor, the vehicle locking system is absurdly illogical and unfriendly, and there are only a couple of settings you can change. For example, you can choose whether you want all doors to lock automatically when you move the transmission out of P into R or D, or when you are traveling 5 miles per hour. What difference does that make? But there is no setting to have the doors unlock automatically when you place the vehicle back in park. You have to remember to do that manually. Honestly, I do like the comfort, some of the safety features, and the hybrid system that are built into the Tucson, but I could have found these attributes, and probably better gas mileage, on other hybrid models.

The test drive on the ‘23 Tucson Hybrid Blue Impressed me. I’d been driving a ‘15 Toyota Venza, a super reliable gas guzzling SUV that had a clunky ride and handling. In contrast, the Tucson Hybrid was much quicker, handled and rode like a higher end sedan and despite having smaller exterior dimensions, had as much interior space for seating and cargo. We bought the car and after admittedly only 7K miles, the less expensive Blue more than lived up to the promise of the test drive. Impressive throttle response and a smooth, quiet road vehicle. We get 35-38mpg on the highway so long as we hold our speed around 70mph. We do a bit better than that in the city running errands. No problems at all. Two minor negatives. I am not fond of the button-controls for shifting (though I’m used to it by now) and the car came with no spare tires. I managed to get the donut spare that the non-hybrid Tucsons come with on EBay (the wheels are the same size so it works). I haven’t needed it yet, but I’d advise anyone who buys a vehicle that comes with no spare tire to do what’s necessary to get one.

Plenty of room for a mid size SUV, large hatchback with excellent space. The car is very Quiet in the highway and city. I don’t even More when it switches to electric power. Economical, 1.6 L. Turbo motor even more so with electric assist. Individual all will. Drive, car is extremely stable. Even in torrential downpours in Miami. Nice sports mode, tight steering, an instant, get up and go with the electric motors. Safety, airbags everywhere. The biggest issue that I have with the car, is the EPA rating of 38 miles to the gallon in the city is absolutely incorrect. The best I’ve gotten and driving it. Purposely conservative has been 29 miles to the gallon. Normal driving Highway, spirited driving every now and then, 25 to 26 miles to the gallon is the best it could do. The Tucson Hybrid is better than the standard Tucson in every metric, and you only pay a small price premium. The, nonhybrid has a pathetic 2.4 L four cylinder. That is an ananemic. Best warranties in it’s class just like it’s cousin, The Kia. people rate, The, Toyota, RAV, hybrid higher than the Hyundai, I drove both, and I would never buy the Toyota. The cabin is very quiet, five years, 60,000 mile warranty, 10 year 100,000 miles, full power train warranty, engine, electric motors, battery, transmission, etc. and they give you three years of maintenance free included.

I really like this vehicle. It handles nicely, has enough pep to get into traffic. Styling is pretty cool. The features are easy to use. I love the adaptive cruise control. The one issue I have is the driver seat cover. It separated on a seam. I had it replaced by the dealer, but it has now happened a second time. I haven't gone back to the dealer yet. I think it's a bad design or poor material. It's that kind of leatherette material. If you look on line, many people have had this issue. Other than that I love it

I love my car, 🚗 it has multiple features that brings me comfort and are helpful as the smart Cruse control, that keeps the car not only in a steady speed, but breakers by itself if any other vehicle stops or cuts down in front of me, it keeps distance between the vehicle in front, and keep the vehicle in your line, however you need to be aware that you still in control and you should keep your hands in the wheel. It has a huge display, you can control the AC and calefaction from your phone and get the engine started also from your phone. The only thing that I complain about is the lack of storage, I don't have a shade glasses coaparment or a any other than the small under the arm rest in between front seats. Really good car tho.

I've only been driving it for 4 days, but I'm truly enjoying everything about it. The SEL Convenience package gives me plenty of "bells and whistles" and it is very comfortable. There's more than enough room in the cargo area.

Our 2023 Hyundai Tucson Limited in Shimmering Pearl Valley s a fantastic vehicle! We came from a Hyundai Sonata Limited with all the latest safety technology with turn signal cameras and 360 degree camera view in the infotainment system. We were happy to find the Tucson Limited had the same technology. The only thing missing is the heads up display. We do wish the 10.5 inch infotainment system came with wireless Apple CarPlay, but that is a minor inconvenience. We love the roominess and the fact that you sit higher in the Tucson than in the Sonata.
