Used 2008 Hyundai Tiburon GT 2dr Hatchback (2.7L 6cyl 4A) Consumer Reviews
Affordable, Fun, & Smooth
The Tiburon GT, at minimum, is adequate in every area. It's ride is smooth and nimble. The experts claim that the handling is "numb", but I have found it to be the best handling car that I have ever driven.(That includes Acura TL, Acura CL, Honda Civic, Ford Taurus SHO, and Ford Mustang) The brakes are extremely responsive and took some getting use to. The engine is a little weak, considering it is a V6 with 172 HP, but it will give enough pep for realistic driving. I have been extremely pleased with the gas mileage. Critics, and Hyundai themselves have posted 17/23 MPG, while I have been consistently getting 25-27 MPG when driving conservative. Overall, I am satisfied with my purchase.
Tiburon Exceeded Expectations
From the moment I test drove this vehicle, I was pleasantly surprised with how sporty and fun it is to drive. It has plenty of pep in the motor and the handling is nimble enough to qualify as a legitimate sport coupe. For the price and performance, I think the Tiburon is a diamond in the rough.

Awesome
When test driving teenagers on the street said "nice car" and men stopped to watch us drive by. The real test was when we drove it home and our kids asked to drive it and said it was "tight". The body style looks similar to the Celica and is a definite head turner. Plus, the price was right.
New owner, now hard to find any
Only a few 2008s left for sale in Southern California: only 100 left for sale in USA. Purchased the six cylinder because don't want loss of power with AC on. Dealer gave huge discount off sticker and low 2.9% financing. This car is a bunch of fun to drive, my wife loves it, even though there are physical adjustments with seat, mirrors instead of all automatic features. The Kenwood radio is great sounding and the AC will literally blow you away. I like the sport seats too. Needless to say, it is the exterior styling that recommends the car most. The interior lighting is exciting and I opted for BlueTooth connectivity rather than sunroof, which I never use.
Love it a year later
I bought my Tib in Dec 09, so have had it almost a year and have racked up 17k I've been thrilled with this car so far. It is fun to drive, nice tight steering and adequate pick up for a 4 cyl (although I would like a little more pickup). The gas mileage varies wildly for me. During the summer in the city, I averaged about 20mpg, but on the highway I usually get around 32 regardless of air conditioning. Drove the car cross country twice, and would say if you plan to do something similar, be warned about the base model. No cruise control! It does make a difference. Also, it does seem to have a big blind spot to get used to. All in all, very happy, love the way it drives. Fun, fun car
