Used 2021 Hyundai Sonata Sedan Consumer Reviews
Love this car
I had a 2017 Nissian Altima plagued with transmission problems and decided to buy a 2021 Sonata. The price was great and I was amazed at all the features and how fast it is and how great it handles. The only minor complaint I have is that if you drive with the driver assistance on, it will brake your car if it feels you are too close to the vehicle in front of you which can be a little nerve racking if you are changing lanes in traffic going over 55mph. I suggest turning that feature off if you plan to go high speeds on a highway, but everything else about this car is wonderful and I still give it 5 stars. I have had zero problems for over 60,000 miles. None.

Impressive Highway Control
I previously had a 2014 Elantra GT and needed an upgrade as my new job was an hour away from home (approximately 60 miles/one way) and I noticed the GT wasn’t handling it too well. I loved the features Hyundai vehicles offered and pricing compared to other makes similar in features. I knew I wanted to stay with Hyundai but I needed something better where I didn’t have to fill the tank 3+/week. Made the choice to go with the Sonata SEL as it had more room compared to the Elantra plus better MPG. Gas tank/MPG on my 2021 SEL allows me to fill my tank only 2/week. Plus the lane control and lane assist help tremendously when most of my driving is at speeds of 70+. This vehicle, in my opinion, would be a suitable choice if looking for reliability on highway conditions. If I really had to find a downside to this sedan, it would probably be the exterior, specifically how the front end is designed. I hadn’t noticed it until a coworker pointed out that the new Sonata looks like a ‘catfish’ from the front and once taking a good look, I agree. For a vehicle who’s performance exceeded my expectations, Hyundai should’ve designed it to match its performance more appropriately. That may literally be my only downside but know it doesn’t change how much I still love my 21 Hyundai Sonata SEL.

Hyundai made me a believer
For years I was a dedicated Honda driver but after driving the Honda Sonata it changed my mind. The ride is smoother quieter and more comfortable. The Sonata is yards above the Accord. The only thing that the Accord has that I miss is the passenger side camera display but I gladly gave that up for everything that the Sonata offers.

I Think I was sold a DUD!!!
Ive had my 2021 Sonata for 18 months and ive had so many issues with it and everytime i take it for an oil change and mention the problems im having with my car, they never fix or address the issues!! My car had a major chip in the paint, you can clearly tell it chipped off and not hit with another object, but it seems to not be an issue to them. The silver part on my steering wheel is peeling off, along with the buttons that have park reverse and drive. I feel like this car was made out of cheap aluminum foil
