Unbelievable value

This is my second hyundai. My first was a 2001 Elantra. All I can say is that this company has made massive improvements in comfort in the last 10 years. I've put about 2K on the car so far and love it. Getting 31 MPG while doing mixed driving. For the size of the car, the way it rides, and all the features, I would've expected to pay way more. They've gone above and beyond. They even keyed a garage door opener into the rear view mirror. After testing ford fusion, Malibu, and accord, this one was far and above the best combination of ride and comfort.

Hated to give up my Sebring Convt bought new in 02 but after 100k it was time. (I'll miss it this summer) When I saw the Sonata on tv (Super Bowl ads, I was impressed. As follow up I looked at those on lots and at the Cleveland Auto Show. I love the looks and interior. The price was in my range so I bought the SE model. Its features are plentiful and practical. Bluetooth is great and I'm glad the dealer did the connection. Not sure I'll use the "Paddle" shift. Gas mileage on 1st tank was 28.2 mpg, about 5 more than the convert, so I'm glad of that. Still getting used to the features-- not sure XM is for me, but it's a nice option. Hope the 18" wheels don't hurt when replaced$$$. Glad to Buy.

I cannot believe this much car for under $25,000(I have Limited w/Nav.) Dealer sold for way under invoice. Car is beautiful, rides well and my gas mileage is unbelievable. I'd recommend the 2011 Sonata to anyone who appreciates a great value in a 4 door family sedan. Impressed with Hyundai's quality and new designs. Researched and drove the Accord, Altima, Fusion, Camry, Mazda 6 and Malibu. Only the Altima came close to equaling Sonata overall.

As soon as I noticed the 2011 Sonata on the lot I knew I had to drive it. I was driving a 2009 Sonata that I also loved from the very beginning. The sleek new lines are very attractive and they make the car look much more expensive than it really is. The six speed transmission is much more refined and it seems to hug the road better than my '09. I am a six footer and the drivers compartment is very comfortable. All of the controls are well laid out and easy to reach.

We had the car for two months. My only complaint is the rough ride and better comfort front seats. The car needs different tires. 17 inch rims and low profile tires do not give a smooth ride. Hyundai needs to work on this. Other wise a great car

We purchased our Sonata SE in February, 2010. We absolutely love it. Everywhere we go, everyone seems to be staring at the vehicle. We purchased the 2011 Sonata sold at our dealership, so few people knew what is was. Our vehicle is Venetian Red. We get compliments on the vehicle everywhere we go. Some have mistaken it for a Lexus.

I just purchased this vehicle to replace my 10 year old Chrysler 300M. I thought I would have to give up some of the creature features when I purchased a new one.....NOT. The new Hyundai Sonata was just what I needed. Great Looks, Super Fuel Economy (without having to lug around a battery pack), Quality, Quiet Ride, Responsive handling and a Warranty Second to None! If you have not looked at the Hyundai line up of vehicles lately, you need to take a trip to your local dealer. Take a test drive and then make up your own mind about their products. They are on top of their game with a solid product offering for the American driver.

I purchased the 2011 Hyundai Sonata a month ago, and love it! I drove it home via the highway and was shocked to see the I was already getting 27 mpg and the car only had 21 miles on it. The ride is smooth, cabin is quiet and visibility is great. The interior is awesome. You must experience it at night to get the full effect of the blue lights on the dash, steering wheel and window switches. The car is so roomy that for the first few days I kept thinking the door wasn't shut because I was so far away from it, lol. After considering price, warranty, safety, mpg and looks, the 2011 Sonata was a no brainer.

I have had my new Sonata Limited for one week now, silver with black interior. Can not say enough about this car!The looks, outside and in, is a head turner. The proximity key is fabulous, sound system much better than my azera which had 11 or 12 speakers. The gas mileage is excellent so far, 23.5 MPG which is 100% city driving. Will give update in another month. So far, way to go HYUNDAI!

When the first pictures from the Los Angeles auto show appeared in December I said to myself, "This is my next car if it proves out." It has proven out. A test drive revealed the quietness, the comfort, the smoothness of the transmission, the zip (before you know it you're doing 60), the interior fit and finish, and all the luxurious features such as the trip meter and the XM radio, which I have grown to love. I prefer cloth seats to leather, so the GLS is just the ticket -- all I need and then some. I look for excuses to go somewhere in my silver ghost.

I have only had this car one week and I absolutely LOVE IT!!!! There is not one negative thing I can say. I did many hours of research and test drove 5 cars before I made this decision. I drove the Ford Fushion, Ford Taurus, Nissan Altima, Chevy Malibu and the 2011 Sonata GLS and SE. The Sonata kicked butt in every way from style interior and exterior to performance to warranty to price!!

All I can say is that Hyundai has really impressed me. I never thought I would purchase a Hyundai because of all the negative comments I read on the previous models. I traded in my 2010 Toyota Camry XLE V6 and to my surprise it drives the same to me. I really enjoy looking at my car and driving it. Don't take our word for, just go in and test drive one.

Just made a 200 mile trip with my 2011 Sonata GLS auto. I averaged 37.4 mpg on rolling GA back roads. That means periods of 55 mph, lowered to 45 near towns, then 35, and finally 25 by the speed trap. There was a brief period of interstate driving where the gas pedal was put to good use. 80 comes very quickly. The Sonata is not a sports car, but it can move!

While most of my Sonata experience is good some things I don't like 1) When starting the car when the engine is cold I believe there is excessive noise, have told the dealer about it had them come out to my house so they could start it cold. They tell me it's the fuel pump and the noise is normal. 2) The site lines to the rear are terrible. 3) The horn sounds like a bike horn. 4) I have owned the car for just over a year and I got aprox. 27mpg for the first 6500 miles. Since then mpg has gone down to aprox. 24 mpg. I have talked to the dealer about it but they tell me there are no error codes and ???.Overall I like the car but don't think I'd buy another.

This 2011 is great. The 6 speed auto with overdrive torque lockup makes this an interstate veh. First 300 miles is getting a strong 36 mpg on two lane roads. On the interstate it just wants to fly. 40 plus MPG at 73 MPH 2200 RPM. The prius has a .25 drag co. and this has a .28 drag co. and I can tell driving it the sonata just wants to go! It trues out like an arrow! I am 6'2" ... very comfortable car. Turning the steering wheel quarter to half an inch brings immediate tracking response.

I traded in my 2006 Infinti G35x- I looked at Camry/Altima/Mazda6/Accord an Acura TSX. I honestly think this is the best looking car on the road- bar none- any class. The inside is very well put together. I got the Navy Blue/Gray leather. I would never consider a Hyundai until now- their reliability will be challenging Lexus/Acura soon- especially with their warranty. The performance is great for a 4 cylinder and I am getting a combo of 33 mpg (75% Highway). It has much more room than the other cars as well and the trunk is unreal. I got it for $23,500. Go drive it!

OK! After a long hard look at Honda, Toyota, Ford & Hyundai I have picked the best! 2011 Hyundai Sonata Limited Edition! I test drove the 4cyl & 6 cyl Camry, Fusion, and accord but none could compare to the Sonata. This car offers more features, better handling and gas mileage than all. What amazes me is the Sonata is a 4 cylinder and has more pickup than the others! You cannot go wrong with the Sonata!

Went to test a 2010 Genesis Coupe and walked away with a 2011 Sonata! Felt like spam in a can in the coupe. Felt like a 'rich-guy' in the 11 Sonata. I'm a working class, 47y.o. veteran and this is way more car than I could afford from anyone but Hyundai. Climbing out of a 01 4x4 Ranger, this is like a fighter plane! Fast, efficient, comfy and Gorgeous!Harbor Gray Metallica! Can a 'grunt'ask for more? At the end of the commute each day, cant walk away without looking back at it over and over again. This IS love! Heh! BTW, seats are great for my busted back! "Git ya some!" Hyundai! Hoo-AH!

We had a 2006 Sonata GLS V6, which we loved. It had 83,000 miles without a problem. It was totaled recently in an accident so we were forced to go car shopping. I test drove a Mazda 6 and Ford Fusion, but new 2011 Sonata is a very impressive car. New GDI engine is very efficient. Doesn't necessarily sound pretty, but quiet once going with very adequate power. The new 6 speed shifts great, keeps rpm low when driving easy and downshifts quickly when asked too. MPG 33-37 for us so far. We bought the GLs for the slightly softer seats and slightly better ride than the SE. Our two tone tan/black interior makes car look more expensive than it is. Paid $19,800 with Hyundai loyalty.

I havent been a fan of Hyundai vehicles until I saw the new new Sonata on the TV commerical. I decided to go for a test drive and was hooked instantly with the cars options and looks. The price was great for the packages I got on the car. Performance is amazing with the redesigned 4 cylinder engine. Gas mileage as something I have been worried about, but no so much an issue anymore with this car. The engine components are covered so it cuts down on engine noise on the highway, you can hardly tell the engine is running at 80 mph, and idle sound is pretty much non existent. The seats are great, and evne though it sits low to the ground its not a hassle to get in and out of.All in all its an A+

There's a reason users give it a 9.7 and Efmunds only 7.8. Edmunds was only with it for a few hours. Live with this car and you will love looking at it before you get in and love it even more behind the wheel. First, it looks and feels more like a Benz than a Hyundai. I still can't believe I bought a Hyundai and I'm lovin' every moment of it. Got a Limited in Black. Wow, does this car sparkle. And does it get looks from others. I had 2 guys in a new Porsche Turbo convertible turn around once they past me just to look at the front. The car speaks luxury. And all for very little $$. I had a 2007 Camry XLE with V-6 and got tired of this boring car and seeing myself coming and going.

My last vehicle was an Infiniti G35, so you have to know that this vehicle impressed me. No, it won't out race or out handle the G, but it cost 14K less, and gets over 40% better fuel economy. So far the car is excellent. The 198 HP GDI 4 Cly is more than adequate. If you are worried about no V6, drive the car. Most drivers will be pleased. (If it is still an issue, wait for the Turbo.) The car is actually slightly smoother and quieter than my G35. It also handles surprisingly well. While this is not a sport sedan, it handles better than Accord, Camry, Malibu, and Fusion SEL. The interior in the Limited is much better than other competing cars. Great head liner.

Test drove Honda Accord EX-L, Ford Fusion SE, Toyota Camry SE, and the Nissan Altima. To be honest I doubted the Sonata, as my mom had purchased an Elentra back when Hyundai had just started selling vehicles over here in the States. All I remember of that car was inferior design and quality material compared to other cars of that time (1999 to be exsact)...I was on the verge of finalizing a deal on the Ford Fusion; but, I listend to the wife and took this out for a test drive. Needless to say, it blew the competition in my opinion out of the water. BEAUTIFUL car, awesome power, just more than what I was expect, a true game changer. Way to go Hyundai //cheers !!!!

I typically only buy high end luxury vehicles, Porsche, Mercedes, Lexus, Jaguar and BMW's. This vehicle was purchased for my employees to use in my business. Since driving it I having second thoughts about making it a company vehicle. It looks great, drives well and has wonderful gas mileage. The interior is comparable to the luxury cars I am accustom to driving. Recently, while out of town, I rented a Cadillac CTS. The preferred the interior to my new Hyundai. i wasn't always a believer, but I am now. Great Job Hyundai, great job!

It was down to a Malibu, Fusion, and Sonata, and we went with the Sonata. You can't beat the combination of a huge interior, great gas milage, safety, and the best price in the market for what you get. I love how nimble the handling is and how quick the 198HP engine is. We got an amazing deal on a GLS with popular equipment package. Right now the only gripe I have is with the drivers seat. It seems like they could have made it a little more comfortable/ergonomic. It isn't too bad, but I guess I'm nitpicking. We love that the trunk actually opens all the way when you hit the FOB button. The ride is pretty solid.. kind of a mix between the plush Camry ride and the sporty Fusion ride.

I love the way this car handles! It is so easy to drive, park, and maneuver. It is peppy and has a lot of get up and go. My husband and I first test drove the 2010 Sonata SE and liked it very much. We decided to test drive a 2011 to see if there really was a difference in how the car was redesigned. There was definitely a difference - even I could tell. There was no more considering the 2010; I knew the 2011 was for me. I purchased the Limited, it has everything but the navigation system. There is nothing about this car I do not like. The sound system is super - better than anything I have ever had in a vehicle. If you are in the market for a new vehicle, consider the 2011 Hyundai

I've had the car for two weeks now. I bought it with the drivers seat-wheels package. The car has plenty of interior space, except in the back seat if you are close to six feet in height. It's really a nice car and looks a lot more expensive than it costs. Its one weakness is the reduced visibility. The high door panels and small windows could make driving in that crowded shopping center parking lot hard for some. And keep an eye on the little ones.

If you were having any reservations about what your next family sedan should be, let me help. This is far and away the absolute best of the best. The fit and finish is approaching that of vehicles costing thousands more. You have options that are standard that aren't even available on the competition (heated front AND rear seats as an example). The motor is more than adequate and extremely fuel efficient. I predict this vehicle will become the most highly acclaimed vehicle in the segment. The facts are undeniable and the vehicle itself stirs emotion!

Don't believe the poor mpg rating from those other reviewers. They're crazy. I'm getting 30 mpg with a 50/50 mix of city and freeway! And easily over 35 on freeway. I love all the features: the bluetooth, heated seats, autodimming mirror, excellent cruise control system, smooth AND rather quiet ride, beautifully blue-lighted interior, lots of digital gauge info, nice sound system, sunroof, super gas mileage, push-button ignition (way cool), leather seats (could be a little softer), XM radio, and the occasional gawks and nice comments about the good looks of the vehicle. Oh, and I paid under 25K!

My sister has owned two Hyundai's, a Sonata and now an Azerra, which she loves. After reading so many glowing reviews on the new 2011 Sonata, I went to the dealer for a test drive, and really liked it. I am 6'4" and was surprised at all the leg and head room. I couldn't drive my 6 speed manual tranny 2007 Corvette due to medical reasons, and traded it in on this car. Going from an almost super car, I was very surprised I liked this car so much. I bought the automatic due to my physical restraints, and like its seamless shifting.

Initially sought out the Genesis but walked away with the Sonata. For the money, there's no comparison. Consider the touch-button start and door locks, bluetooth, integrated IPOD and heated seats front/back.. for a 26k sticker price! I'm giddy over the highway mileage. Getting between 36-38 highway averaging 72 mph. In the city, prefer to use the manual transmission shifting option as the auto tends to shift too early and often. Bottom line... I prefer to leave my Mercedes CLK 320 Convertible in the garage and drive the Sonata. Who would have thought? Do not buy a Camry, Accord, Fusion or Malibu without looking at the new Sonata.

I traded my Mercedes E class for this car. I have had 2 Mercedes, 2 Lexus and 1 Toyota and our current 2nd car is a Toyota Highlander. Other luxury cars are better but not worth the money. Toyota, well, I did notice lack of quality in recent models and I did not even consider due to recent recall fiasco. I researched and test drove Honda, Mazda and Subaru. Two things made me hesitant with Hyundai: Design and Resale value. Resale value of Sonata now on par with Honda. Design: it turns people's head and give thumbs up. I never had that with Lexus and Mercedes. Sonata is loaded with features. Little features like LED ambient lighting that I had with Lexus GS. 2011 Sonata GOT IT!

Driven car to and from FL - 2000 miles so far. Great road manners, easy to drive, comfortable and good visability. 39 and 35.6 MPG at highway speed. Odometer incorrect with the Hankook tires, need to adjust MPG up 2.4%.

If your looking for a fuel efficient full size car, this is it. We bought our Sonata last year based on consumer reviews and now have +17K miles on it. We just drove it on a 3000 mile tour of New England and averaged over 35 mpg with mostly highway driving, at 75 mph....close to 600 miles p/fill up. Truly amazing!!!! Even thru the hills of Vermont and New Hampshire, it had plenty of get up and go when I needed it. The combination of the direct fuel injection, the 6 spd tranny and the aerodynamics I believe is the key factor for the performance of this car. My wife has been able to achieve close to 30 MPG in suburban driving back and forth to work.

This is the 4th Hyundai I have owned and again they did not disappoint me. I have never owned a Hyundai that gave me any problems so this was no surprise. The new sonata outdoes them all. The car feels and drives like I spent at least double what I did when I traded in my 2008 Sonata. This is just an amazing car, quiet as an empty church , stable and sure on country roads and highways. As with all of my other Hyundais, not a hint of a squeak or a rattle anywhere. No wonder they are selling so many cars.

I had a 2009 Camry, loved the car and hated the big payment. Researched the 2011 Hyundai Sonata and was totally impressed. Went and test drove the GLS and feel in "love". Totally impressed by the 4 cyl. power, the eye catching exterior design and the roomy interior. Fantastic standard equipment, can't wait to get the bluetooth figured out. Payment is half of what I was paying and people want to take a look.Hope it will live up to the gas mileage I'm hearing about and the great reviews I'm reading. I think it was a great choice and I'm extremely happy with this car.

Once I test-drove this car, I knew that I had to buy one. This car is far superior to its main competitors such as the Camry, the Accord, and the Altima. I have driven all these models before, but there is really no comparison. This car handles like a BMW, looks better than a Lexus, and it has plenty of power. Even the base audio is great. I love all the whistles and bells that come standard on this vehicle. All this at a decent price.

I was looking to replace my faithful but aging Camry and test drove all of the 'usual suspects'. This car in its base trim has everything I needed, but with the Popular Package it made it even more of a honey! The closest competitor was the Accord EX but the Sonata GLS has it beat hands down on styling, price, features, engine and fun. The fit and finish both inside and out is impressive. The car wants to run, too, as I find myself having to limit my speed. The controls are all logically laid out and easy to use (far better than the Accord) and even the base stereo system rocks! I loved my Toyota, but so far I really love this Sonata! Honda and Toyota beware!

I get stopped all the time and asked what kind of car I have. I used to have a Genesis and everyone loved that car too. Hyundai makes great cars.

So far the car has amazed us with all the standard features. I really like the ac controls and the air bags that surround you and all the passengers. It looks make it seem like the car cost more than it really does. I was able to get my car at $500 back of invoice so the car came out under $20,000. Which is amazing for all the feature you get. I would guess for a Honda Accord with the same feature would cost around $26,000.
