Used 2016 Hyundai Genesis Sedan Consumer Reviews
The most underrated luxury sedan
I am and still driving my 16 Genesis V6 HTRAC that is fully optioned. Bought it in 2019 at 45k miles and I knew it had some flaws from the previous owner...which wasn't a problem. It had an accident reported that was rear ended. Interior needed some detailing and the entire body was repainted. The car drives super smooth and feels better than any BMW and mercedes I've ever drove. The layout for everything in the car is easy to spot and use even for others who never drove or owned a Hyundai. Since owning this car, I've done nothing but its routine oil changes between 5k-7.5k miles, did 2 intake valve cleaning (using crc intake valve cleaning), threw a set of continental tires on, k&n cabin and filter, oem brakes and rotors, remote starter, at 70kmiles did a transmission fluid FLUSH with changing its filter as well, and sometimes I have use octane 93 fuel on days I just feel like using it or to mix with octane 87(nothing has gone wrong yet). Car is sitting at 80k miles now and it drives super smooth. Had no problems with it but the stupid anchor seat belt on the passenger side, the parking sensor on the front is acting funny once in awhile as there is something close to the car even though nothing is there when I am in traffic, and the panoramic sunroof doesn't close when you slide the whole glass opens. My Genesis performs well in all types of weather(even in the extreme cold and rain). Traction is good enough as you drive casually but not for hard cornering. Vehicle is pretty much a boat. In the snow, I can even slide the car around with traction control off. Best thing about this vehicle is that it was very underrated as it was never made it to the spotlight because people still make the same excuse saying “its still a Hyundai ”...at least from my side. With how much car it is for its price, its hard to beat in my opinion. Now that its a luxury brand itself, the value of the 15-16 Genesis has gone up and people realize how good they car. Downside, the speakers need more bass. Its enough for me but it could be better.

Hyundai Genesis in the shop the past 3 years!
I bought this car used with 19,000 miles on it. The AC high side hose went out at around 70 or 80 k miles. Then the oil senser had to be replaced which requires you to remove the entire air intake manifold. After that my ac compressor went as well as the evaporator block. I have the hyundai warranty luckily but the dealerships here in vegas were a nightmare. My starter was failing for one whole year! I do not recommend this car to anyone. Nothing but problems. They just did a starter recall and now the car is experiencing hesitation starting. The communication between the warranty and the dealerships is trash. Hyundai had my car four separate times for 3 weeks! No loaner car and on one of them I was out of pocket $800. If you want problems buy a hyundai.

Comfy and quiet
The v8 does not seem necessary, enough power for most people. Poor tire wear, wouldn’t last the lease! ( most be inferior specs on Michelin tires ) great trunk layout.
