Used 2017 Hyundai Elantra Sedan Consumer Reviews
a good car with some bad quality parts
purchased 2017 elantra se base trim new car 4 years ago. Now mileage is 50K. The car drives good. Had two issues up to now: 1) bad ignition coil; 2) side view mirror cannot move. Fortunately they are covered by the warranty. I do not hope more problems show up after warranty expires.

blue beauty
I like the size and turquoise color. It drives nice and has a big trunk. I dislike the clearance especially on the front. On speed bumps and little dips it scrapes. UPDATE: Low clearance for speed bumps and dips in the road. Not a winter car with snowy weather. Rear lock problems. Door won,t open. Had to replace thermostat after driving a steep winding road. Its a good car for around town .

Solid upgrade from the '16 model
I purchased my 2017 Elantra Limited after my 2016 was totaled in an accident. It is much better than the previous version, interior quality is way better, rides great, excellent fuel economy. I've put about 33k miles on it since I bought it used with 14k miles. Outside of getting a new battery, and a faulty door handle replaced under warranty, it has been very reliable. Apple car play, heated seats, sunroof, lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control, dual zone climate control, blind-spot detection, memory seats. This car has all the creature comforts of modern cars, but still feels simpler in design than it's German and American counterparts. Having a 6-speed transmission is nice too as opposed to a CVT. Will it last as long as a Toyota or a Honda? Time will tell. I believe any car can last at least 200k miles with proper maintenance and safe driving habits. Great job Hyundai, you knocked it out of the park with this one.

great car
I bought my 2017 elantra in 2019 with 29k miles. I didn't know it at the time, but it had been wrecked (hyundai dealership didn't disclose that) slightly in the front (front bumper slightly different color).. The car ran smooth as butter and had been upgraded with all kinds of gizmo's. This car has one flaw, even to this day, "I can't hear it running" when it's at idle. Get's outstanding gas mileage and the ride is smooth on good roads. I can almost go to sleep driving this car! Right now, I have about 72k on it and it rides like it did when I bought it. I believe this is the last car I'll have to buy and if I have to buy another, I'd get a 16,17, or 18 elantra..
