I am a three time Elantra Owner since 2000. This a quality and safety all wrapped in one beautiful package in the Apple Read Pearl. I wish we American Car Manufacturers can build and Sell for the same low price as I got this Hyundai for. I paid $16,000 out the door in cash for MY BABY! My Baby has auto,CD,XM asnd cruise control. I got an unbelievable deal, because its a buyer's market at this time.

I've logged over 1200 miles on my new 2010 Elantra GLS within the past 3 weeks of ownership. Gas mileage in combined highway/city driving has averaged a respectable 32mpg. I think I did well on price, just under $16k including all taxes, freight, etc. The car has been solid, ride is quiet (much quieter than I anticipated from an economy car) and controlled. Engine has more than enough power to get you up and into expressway traffic. Car came with 3 months of XM radio included. So far, I'm very happy with my purchase.

This is my 3rd elantra and the reason why I bought it is because I never had a problem with none of them in the past I drive long distance and it gives me around 32 mpg I love it love the blue lights in the center console...

Bang, Bang, Bang

I purchased a 4 door hatchback. I will start out with the negative-low rider- bang, bang, bang over every little bump. I sometimes think a plastic bag makes it bang. The car's suspension needs major improvement. My Chevy Malibu was so much more comfortable and truthfully I wish I had gone back to a Chevy. Gas mileage is about 22.9 per gallon in city.

Best for the Money

Bought 2010 Elantra GLS. Sticker $17,710, transaction price $15,500 with another $2,500 in rebates. Walked out the door after taxes and fees owing $14,700, 0 down. Nice car, solid build and QUIET, more so than cars costing much more. Yes, there are hard plastics, but gaps are tight, no squeaking or noises. XM satellite a disappointment, as it cuts out constantly. Only other complaint is that cold idle speed really high, 1500 rpm and doesn't drop by much after a minute or two of idling. I'd rather see 700 rpm. 34 mpg in combined driving. Definitely recommend as best car value for the money.
