Used 2002 Hyundai Elantra Hatchback Consumer Reviews
1,000 miles later...
What a gem-I looked for 3 months- researching cars-Hondas, Toyota...(I thought that would be the ONLY car I would ever buy). I noticed an Elantra GT on the highway-was very curious-and started to research. After the test drive I was hooked...Fabulous car...Highly recommend!
excellent all around
i have had my Hyundai Elantra GT for a year now and i still love it. the leather is luxurious and comfortable and the hatchback design is great for the outdoors (camping, rock climbing, snowboarding). i can fit three snowboards with the 60/40 split and three passengers. the engine is smooth and quiet and absolutely no problems.
Great car and value
At just over $14k, this car may be the best value on the market in its class. After 3 weeks, we love it all the more. It's more comfortable than expected for its size, has just enough pep, and looks good. The GT's hatch is versatile for cargo. Rear 60/40 seats fold flat by flipping up bottom seats - nice. You can't get more for the money. After over 8 years & 120k miles with a Hyundai Excel, I'll attest to the long- term quality, low mtc. cost and reliability. Not to mention how far they've come in that time with design and value-added features. You can't go wrong with a Hyundai.
I was surprised by the quality...
I purchased this car a year ago as a company car to make daily trips and occasionally haul some equipment. I have been pleasantly surprised that the quality of the fit and finish over the year has been just as good as my passat. Hyundai has developed a solid product line in design and quality since it partnered with Daimler Chrysler. I would rec. this car for anyone looking for a great value.
13,000 miles and stilll happy
Fell in love with the car on the test drive and haven't regretted the purchase yet. Very firm handling and good pickup on expressway driving - much better than former car (Saturn) Really like the exterior design - still see other drivers checking out the car - and the leather interior is a nice plus. Was initially skittish because of the (old) Hyundai reputation and fear that trade in value would drop like a stone, but have been happily surprised by performance (and I tend to drive my cars into the ground)
