Faulty Engine
Bought this car in 2018 with 60k miles on it. Had all the extras - bluetooth, sunroof, leather, navigation, etc. Really enjoyed it for what it was: small & economical. Lowest car I have ever driven, so I was surprised when I blew a tire on a pothole, but I guess that comes with this type of car. Changed the oil and kept with regular maintenance then one day heard a slight knocking from the engine. By the time I made it to my destination it was loud (like you could hear it across the parking lot). Apparently there is a "known" problem that causes metal to enter the oil/pistons, ultimately rendering the engine useless. Though the car is under 100k miles, I am not the original owner so it is not covered under warranty. It has also not been recalled. Got a quote for $3k-$4k replacement, then waited a month so I could save for it. Now there are no available engines because there is such a demand. Now it's just a nice looking driveway ornament. This may not be every experience, but I know it's not singular.

Great Hatchback
I am leasing this car mostly because of the great deal that I got but more than likely will buy it out at the end of the lease. AWESOME gas mileage, I drive in the ECO mode all the time and consistanly get at least 36 mpg. I drive the speed limit but don't go over, so that make a big difference in the gas mileage. Also I don't 'rabbit' start my car. The interior is roomy and very comfortable. Not a much space as my old 2005 Toyota Matrix but pretty close. LOVE the blue-tooth, I will never go without that option again. Car has plenty of speed and power, will be anxious to see how it does in the snow.

DON'T BUY A HYUNDAI
Worst car ever had!! Did not even last for the 5 year financing. Motor shot after 4 & half years. Manufacture said they could do nothing for me. I changed the oil religiously every 5k miles. Talked to a mechanic,,,,said he knew someone with the same problem. Another mechanic called them trash cars. DO NOT BUY A HYUNDAI. The manufacture won't stand behind them. There is even recalls on motors! Ended up buying a Toyota,,,should have done that in the first place. was treated like I didn't know anything. Been working on my own car for 40 years. Still will never buy another Hyundai!

Smile on my face
I've had my GT for about 4 months now. At first the car seemed sluggish, but as I put a few miles on (now 4,000 miles) performance is great and MPG equal to the EPA figure. Couple tricks I learned: When in manual, start in 2nd. Only use sport steering mode on windy days. I use sport most of the time and keep it there. I went from a 2000 Grand Prix thinking there was not going to be enough room for 4 adults in comfort. I was wrong. Took a weekend trip with 4 adults and nobody complained about room plus room for all our luggage. Sometimes going uphill, seems to be searching for the right gear, so I switch to manual mode and works better. I've now owned the car going on 3 years. Fuel economy around town is lower than expected, but could be that my trips are short and stopped at many traffic lights for longer than normal. Handling is better than ever and it will not disappoint. Sometimes, when accelerating from slow or stop it can lag, but once going it picks up nicely. I have had no mechanical problems or issues so far. The only thing out of the norm is that the daytime running lights have both needed to be replaced sooner than normal. My last car they lasted over ten years before replacing the same. I still have not had any issues that need to replace tires, belts or brakes. Pleasant surprise. Seats are still comfortable. Still, the only things on my wish list that could be improved are: More power, better stereo, cooled seats, switching the placement of the odometer and tachometer. Otherwise, this car still keeps a smile on my face, especially when I can take her through the twisties where driving is the best.
