I bought a 2022 Hyundai Accent in March,2022.I was a little hesitant at first because I had only had Sonatas previously.I really like this car,it is great on gas,has plenty of power and very comfortable to drive.I love the cloth seats and so far have no complaints.

best value for your money

I needed a reliable transportation with the basic updated amenities. This car won at 19K MSRP, 22K out the lot, 5 year warranty by manufacturer, 3 years of services included, and most importantly for now days: super low miles per gallon.

Ok for the price but very poor quality and service

You will have endless problems with the Accent, but it does start and run 98% of the time. Electrical system is very bad. There are no features in the car but the dome light, radio, and other things will work sometimes and the car alarm goes off for no reason. Hyundai service is the worst on earth and you WILL have endless trouble with them taking days to do anything and lying to you about lots of things. Sideview mirror lens fell out after 3 months and Hyundai wants $600 to repair after having the Accent in service for 4 days! Biggest issue is the transmission. It fails 15% - 20% of the time, so you have a 1 in 5 chance your transmission will go out. The shifts are rough and the engine revs high anytime you accelerate. You will regret the Accent if you have ANY problem, and you will have problems.

T-bone Accident - Surprisingly Tough

I bought this car a little less than a year ago after having my car totaled when I was rear ended. I didn’t “want” this car. I just needed to get a dependable and affordable car while we paid off my husband’s new car. I didn’t like how small it was and worried about another accident in such a tiny car…especially since I’m often driving my 9-year old. This past Thursday, as I entered an intersection with a green light, a Nissan Altima ran their red and appeared in front of me. I was going about 40 mph and had no time to brake or do anything except slightly turn my wheel in a fruitless attempt to dodge the obstacle. As I was about to hit, all I could think was, “this is gonna be bad”. However, all parties were fine. No injuries! I have a seatbelt bruise and some soreness, but that’s it. My airbag turned off right after we bought it and we had never taken it in to be fixed, so it didn’t deploy. A fault in this car, but it didn’t affect the outcome, so I’m grateful it won’t add to the repair bill. I couldn’t open my driver door due to the front panel being slightly pushed in. However, when I climbed out of the passenger door and looked at the front of the car I was so surprised! The front on the driver’s side took the brunt of the damage since I had slightly turned my wheel at the last second. The front bumper(?) is torn up and cracked in several places. The hood, side panel, and front metal piece are bent and dented. The driver side headlight is scuffed and the grill is in pieces. The radiator and some other front parts are damaged, but in no way does it look like I was in a t-bone accident. The car was still drivable to get home (though running hot due to radiator), and the front end doesn’t look like a crushed soda can like most cars you see after a similar impact. Maybe it’s because it was two sedans involved, or maybe it’s because I was only going 40 mph, but all I know is, this little car held up extremely well!!! Shockingly well! Suddenly all the fears I had when buying such a small car, seem null and void. This little thing is tougher than she looks! Hard to review much else since I’ve only had it for a year, but so far, so good. She runs smooth and is such an easy car to drive. I would recommend this as an affordable and dependable option. Or for a a new driver.
