Used 1994 Honda Prelude Si Consumer Reviews
Ambivalence Prelude Si-R
Excellent car, been having it for almost 9 years now, no major problem so far. High: Excellent design in and out. Smooth yet powerful engine, and smooth transmission. True sport car look, perfect with 17' or 18' wheels and performance tires. Low: Minor understeer, as most FF cars do. Rear seats too small, definitely not good to carry adults for long trips. Relatively small trunk space.
Fun, fun, fun!!!
This is the most fun car I have ever driven. The engine gives very good performance and the car corners like a dream.
Great car overall
This is a great car; both fun and reliable. The space is a setback, but it's a fast car and the look is never outdated. I've had this car for 10 years and it's never let me down so far. Sad to see the Prelude discontinued, but much props to Honda for coming out with such a great car.
one great car
I bought this car since it shipped to United state, been taking good care of it since then. The mileage on my car reads 109K as of November 2002. I do every recommended scheduled maintainence and my car never betrayed me. Definitely a good commute car, heck, it's even a good touring car; I've driven it across U.S. (SF to NY) twice and got no problem finishing my trip. This car embodies great performance and excellent fuel economy. A great choice for younger car buyer. But like all sports car, Honda Prelude has little back seat space and tiny little trunk space. Definitely not an ideal transportation for a group of people.

This car is a wonder to have. Unlike many cars this will keep you on the road for years. My H23 si has over 260,000 miles on it and still flied down the road with no problems, But just remember to change the timing belt before 100,000 miles or there could be a problem. On the good side I took the head off the engine and wow I couldn't believe how there was no sludge in the cylinder head. Great on gas I get 27 miles a gallon. Others say parts are expensive. No they are not. I get my clutch for 200 bucks not $1000 Honda is the way to go.
