This Pilot was worth the wait....
I was driving a Toyota Highlander and loved that car, sorry Toyota but after driving the new Pilot I had to make the switch. I learned a lot about this SUV through Youtube.com, from the amateur reviewer to the professional I learned what made this SUV a future leader in this segment. I also read reviews on this website and feel that some of the reviewers had issues and I don't doubt that but don't make a decision based on a couple of unfortunate few. In the end it is a Honda and I have been an owner of an Acura in the past and was very impressed with the service that came with the vehicle.

Honda cuts corners/cheap
Top of the line Pilot has a cheap, cheap remote key fob. Good luck trying to change the battery. Also, Honda puts a cheap 12V car battery in it. Cheap. Mileage for an 8 seat model is about 20 mpg city driving.

My son is a Pilot as well.....
Absolutely love this pilot. Very comfortable, excellent safety features, stylish. I went from an Audi to my Honda Pilot and just LOVE it. It's the 2016 model so not boxy and large like it used to be (which I liked as well). I still get it confused with the Mercedes SUV's that are in the parking lot as well as the BMW SUV's. I am surprised on the gas mileage we are getting with our Pilot - averaging 25-28 mph - which is more than we were getting with our Audi A4. This Pilot is everyone in our family's favorite!

2016 Touring Edition
This vehicle is a piece of junk. The quality of a Honda is a joke now. I bought this SUV new in 2016 from Honda. At 83K the transmission was replaced under my 10year or 120k warranty, I bought the warranty when we purchased this vehicle new. The new transmission is also a joke, it lags and has a cold problem finding which gear it should be in, in MN the winter get cold, but when the pilot was under 50k miles, we never had an issue with the vehicle. I baby this vehicle and don’t even tow a trailer or boat. The vehicle has been at our local Honda dealer for the failed emissions/check engine light at 65k, 75k and now at 106k miles. This vehicle has been nothing but trouble for us, in and out of the dealer. We pay $43k plus for this vehicle, the quality is no longer in these Honda. There is more con than pro when buying a pilot. I expect Pilot to run til about 200k plus before any major or repeat problems. We have maintained all the regular maintenance for the Pilot and still have these issues I mentioned. Do not buy a 2016 model type Pilot, it’s nothing but trouble after 50k miles.
