An excellent Car
My wife and I are very happy with our CRV. It has over 100,000 miles.
No frills and not as reliable as Honda brand claim
I’ve owned this vehicle for 7 years. I purchased it brand new odd the lot. I was pleased with the appearance of the car off the lot and that aspect has held up well over the years. But it definitely isn’t a reliable car as prior Honda reviews have said. I’ve invested plenty of money in routine maintenance which was done on schedule and this was a garage kept vehicle. I was not expecting the number of unforeseen repairs and multiple recalls on this vehicle. And I wasn’t expecting the number of times it wasn’t drivable. Hands down the most expensive car I have owned from a repairs standpoint. I can’t see myself purchasing from this brand again given the unfortunate experiences with this one. If you’re in the market for a used CRV, I would look away and focus my sights on Toyota or Mazda.

Great mileage for comfort and price
CRV gets about 30% better mileage than similar SUVs, but still packs in features. Love the car.

Great Small SUV
At almost 45,000, it’s still a terrific small SUV. After renting Toyota RV4 and Nissan Rogue SUV’s, I enjoyed the fact that both of them had larger engines that did not have turbo lag. The trade off is fuel economy, although not as much as I would have thought. The CRV has more front seat leg room than either of them, which is a lot better for the way I sit in a car when driving. I would buy it all over again. Still a terrific vehicle and gas mileage is over 30 mpg and I don't use the economy mode. About the only negative are 3 instances where the automatic braking system must have thought it saw something that wasn't there and proceeded to brake on its own. Also, happening more often, some of the smart features don’t work correctly and I need to turn the car off and back on again. A automobile re-boot. All in all though, still a great little SUV.

All You Would Want In An SUV
I did my research on the different brands of SUV's, tried out several different kinds and had an idea of what I wanted so when I tried out the CR-V Honda Touring it had everything I was looking for and more. I'm very pleased with my choice!

HRV turbo a great ride
I am still getting 32-33 around town and 36-38 on the highway fully loaded. I buy windshield wiper inserts, gas, and keep up with oil changes. It is the most versatile car I've ever had. At 50K it runs like day one. Upgrade to the Touring model for the nice touches. I love it.

Our Third CR-V is the Best Ever!
Admittedly I'm a Hondaphile. My first ever new car was a 1977 Accord (the second year there was an Accord). Half of my 30+ cars have been Hondas (along with several Corvettes and a sprinkling of Audi's, Mazdas etc. This CR-V is Honda to the nth degree. Any reasonable feature it could have, it does have. It's build quality is in the Lexus realm. The engine is excellent and when combined with the CVT, it's combination of fuel economy and performance are world class. I chose our CR-V over a Lexus RX-300h and have no regrets. I even flew up to Ohio to buy this car from a Honda engineer from the factory. His factory purchase program gave him a nice profit from selling the car and gave me a pretty fair price. If you're looking for more than this car delivers, you must be living in a fantasy land. We've named this car Audrey (after Audrey Hepburn) for the elegance and class this car drips with. Only thing I've changed is to add a set of Koenig alloy wheels which look awesome! Well, it's been almost 10 months now and Audrey (my CR-V) continues to amaze. Exceptional gas mileage on straight freeway driving with gentle - 35+MPG. Love everything about the car except OEM tires (Hankook) which are loud and suck. Will repalce as soon as they wear out. Lots of room for cargo and passengers on long trips. Honda hit this one out of the park. Newly designed (3 years newer) RAV4 and Mazda still can't compete according to reviewers and I believe them

The third CRV I've owned and the best so far. More cargo space, better gas mileage, nicer interior, quieter, handles better, great package for the price.

Delighted customer
21,000 miles on the CR-V now and still absolutely pleased with the vehicle. The only minor complaint is the buzzy engine noise at idle (compared to V6s that I have previously owned). Noise is drowned out at all other conditions (a little noise insulation would go a long way!) @ 1000 miles : Well thought out - vastly improved interior and materials compared to earlier CR-Vs. I was initially scared that the 1.5 liter turbocharged engine would struggle on family trips especially in comparison to our previous V6 equipped Odyssey. Sure, it lacks slightly when it comes to low end torque but it had no problem keeping up with traffic on a recent trip to NY which included steep sections on the interstate with 4 occupants and lots of luggage!

First Honda
This is my wife's car, I drive an electric i3, she was in her second Prius. We had an Avalanche that we just got rid of and needed something with a little hauling capacity. Since we were happy with our 2 Priuses (Prii?) we looked at the Rav4. It was OK, but then I started looking at reviews and everyone rated the CR-V as #1, the RAV4 way down as it hasn't been updated recently, so we checked it out. It was all the reviews said, lots of safety technology and a fun car to drive.

First SUV is WOW!
After reading all the specs on the Honda CRV, I knew I wanted the EX with the advanced safety features. I drove it off the lot yesterday and am thrilled to have it. I’ve had two Honda Accords before this and drove both of them to 150,000 miles with no major problems. I will always drive a Honda. This, however, is my first SUV. It runs so quiet and smooth you almost don’t know the engines on. Love it!

Love my CR-V
Great value for the price. Very comfortable interior, smooth ride. Would love to have a better infotainment package available. Radio is better than in HR-V but still in my opinion a low level model with limited/inadequate features.

Roominess and storage with mpg and value
Wanted roominess for travel without sacrificing too much in mpg. Also wanted high quality and value for price paid. The Honda CR-V with trim level EX-L met all our criteria better than any other vehicle.

Liked it, but just couldn’t get comfortable
Ok so I've only drove a 1,000 miles but overall I like it. Rides smooth, def a car hybrid that sits higher and tad heavier. I thank edmunds for its pricing tools, def help me find the best price. seats are semi uncomfy, could be better, the rear visibility is decent, cargo space is good, entertainment system is decent and armrest could be improved, overall its a solid car 8/10 Added 5/9 So it’s not a bad car, it’s still a good value. I still find the seats to be a pain, the cabin materials are kinda cheep, and you do hear a lot of road noise if not listening to music. I plan on turning this car in at end of this year, it’s something I could drive but not keep long term

New crv
Great car but the voice controls for the radio and navigation aren’t as user friendly as I’d hoped. My F150s voice controls are perfect. Honda’s....not so much. After 6 months, car is really really good at everything, but great with fuel economy for its size.

Lots of bang for your buck but the trans noise
Great at everything, but wish it had paddle shifters like the HR-V to downshift. That would really help with mileage. Update. TPMS is an epic fail and Honda refuses to address it. Light is on all the time and the dealers just instruct you to file a complaint to the corporate clowns.

RDX killer
People doing reviews in this should be in the high end class like the Audi, Lexus, etc. Once you see the features and tech on par compare the price and save some money. (Update) Honda sneaks in a misnamed recall to address fuel leaking into the engine. There is no way to know what this has done to the engine life. The proper response from Honda would be to offer a 100-150k mileage warranty on the engine for all those affected. I sold the vehicle before the recall became a widely known issue and thus edited my original resale value and warranty. My biggest pet pieve is the horrible implementation of TPMS that goes off so much that you have to ignore it. I used to love Honda for it's reliability, but these issues were just enough for me to start looking elsewhere.

A Whole New Ball Game
This car is only a few weeks old. My prior car was a Honda EXL 2010 which was an excellent car in and of itself. But the 2018 is an entirely new car and I'm catching up with technology. This car, a Honda CRV EXL all wheel drive is quiet, refined and very comfortable. It's too early to tell about the 1.5 L engine and the turbo charger. But it is a quality car all the way.

But it!
We shopped for many cars but fell in love with the handling and comfort of the Honda CR-V. Gas mileage is impressive as are the safety devices. The lone drawback is not having a separate climate control center; not part of the entertainment center.

Never a problem
1 now have 137000 plus miles on this vehicle and have never had a problem. I have owned just about every Honda model and have driven all over 200000 miles with no problem. I worked in the industry at dealerships ranging from Toyota, Subaru, Volvo, Ford , Chevy, Mazda and Chrysler. Most will try to upset for each service visit, Honda discourages this, not saying some dealerships don't do this but Honda takes customer satisfaction seriously. Am now looking for my 12th Honda.

Great car
2017 Honda CRV Touring turbocharged with all the options available, love this car
Extremely disappointing Honda's reputation
This car has one, and only one, good feature: the 4-cylinder turbo engine is peppy and provides good acceleration. Everything else about this car is very disappointing. All parts of the car, especially the interior, are very cheap and plasticky-- even the fake wood trim which is really plastic. The "advanced" safety features are more annoying than helpful, such as the lane departure system that beeps constantly on any road with even the slightest curves. The hood bows inward if you put your hand on it, as if it were a cheap aluminum beer can. Even the horn has a cheap beep-beep sound like the Roadrunner cartoon, instead of an authoritative honk. The highly complicated electronic touch screen system is difficult to use and does not work very well. The car has HondaLink, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and several other electronic interfaces, which either do not work, or they are too complex and annoying to fool around with. The car has several serious safety problems, including a tailgate that opens on its own, even while the car is moving, and once while moving at 60 mph! (I reported that one to the government safety watchdogs through NHTSA.) Here's another one. The other day, the radio stopped working for no reason. I tried everything, including even pulling over and then stopping and restarting the engine, thinking that might "reboot" the flawed electronic system. Didn't help. After getting home and doing 45 minutes of research on the Internet, I finally figured out that I had accidentally touched a button that made the car "think" I was trying to make a phone call through the Bluetooth integration with my cell phone. Since the car "thought" I was making a phone call, it disabled the radio. To fix this, I had to break the Bluetooth connection to my cell phone and start over. Totally frustrating! Wanna buy a nice 2017 CR-V? I'll give you a very reasonable price just to get rid of it! Update: Just had an email from Edmunds asking me to update this review. No changes! I still like the peppy 4-cylinder turbo, but everything else about this car sucks, especially the complex and mostly non-working electronic features I described above. Previously I liked Honda due to a good experience with a 1981 Honda Accord, but this CR-V has put Honda permanently on my no-touch list!

Good handling and fuel economy for an SUV, but not much fun to drive. Had trouble with radio. Display would stay on full brightness at night. Required replacement of head unit.
