Couldn’t wait to get rid of this vehicle!
The vehicle looks great! However, the small 1.5L engine feels like it’s struggling at times to pull the weight of the vehicle. The interior looks amazing, but the infotainment system is the biggest piece of trash I’ve ever seen. Screen goes black constantly, touch screen is not responsive at times, and when it is it’s delayed a few seconds. The steering wheel in the EX isn’t leather wrapped, making you feel like you’re gripping a CHEAP piece of plastic. Transmission struggles to keep up compared to the Accord CVT and the Civic CVT. THIS IS THE MOST UNCOMFORTABLE CAR SEAT IVE EVER SAT IN. ONE HOUR INTO A DRIVE AND YOUR BUTT IS NUMB. Be cautious .......

A good buy
I have owned a 2017 CRV for seven years and am generally pleased with its features. It would be a nice feature if the rearview camera could be turned on while driving. There are a several features which do take some time to learn. The average mpg since owning and driving in the economy mode is 33.6 which incldes three trips to FL and normal suburban driving. While the engine is very economical it struggles a little in going to a strong headwind. I haven't had to add any oil in between changes. Every now and then the sound system acts funny but like a computer if I turn off the engine and then restart it the system reboots itself and works fine. The mileage now is 42000 and I have replaced the tires. Haven't driven much now, only 1000 miles in the last six months since an oil change. The maintenance minder shows the oil life at 50%. Looks like no matter how many miles you drive the minder will tell you after a year the oil needs to be changed. Using an iPhone with Waze or Apple Maps eliminates the need for a factory-installed GPS. Overall, a good buy and no complaints.

Great ... with room for improvement
On the whole, this is a wonderful vehicle so far. However, I have only had it for a couple of months. After a serious auto accident that totaled my previous sedan, I opted for the larger CRV with added safety features. The assisted cruise control is great, slowing up automatically when a slower vehicle is in front of you, preventing you from coming upon the slower care too quickly. However, the lane keeping assistance has room for improvement and at times can be dangerous. For one thing, it does not function well in the rain or when the windshield wipers are on. The more serious issue occurs in construction zones where there may be multiple lines painted on the road with new traffic patterns. On one occasion, there was a new traffic pattern in a construction zone with jersey walls on either side and the lane keeping assistance was confused by the painted lines and pulled me toward the jersey wall.

Dangerous in cold climates
The 1.5 liter turbo engine will not warm up in local driving in cold weather and will not produce enough heat to defrost the windshield making driving in the snow dangerous. I would only recommend this car to people living in warm areas of the country (Florida, Georgia, Texas, Mississippi, North and South Carolina, etc. This is definitely not a car for snow country. I traded mine in after 7,000 miles after Honda would (or could) do nothing to improve the situation.

Good for 8 hours or 50 miles whichever comes first
Had the car for 8 hours and it died. The car went crazy and all the lights started flashing on and off (interior, dashboard and exterior). Car would not start. Ultimately had the car towed back to the dealer on a flatbed.

Rain Drops
Has anyone experienced when it rains that you your inside driver door where the rubber drains that rain stands in the car and when you open the door rain drips (if too close) on my shoes. Plus the frame beneath my seat retain water and if I'm getting in the door my dress/skirt or pants gets wet getting and/or of the vehicle. In the addition, the driver's rear passenger side does the same. Also, where the tail gate frame closes that somehow when I lift the gate it is wet. I'm not happy about this since I bought my car a month ago. I took it back to the dealership and they said "oh! that's just the way they made the vehicle". I didn't agree and was told they would check with the engineers and get back in a couple of days - nope! NO WORD SINCE THEN. If I could turn the car back in I would in a heart beat because of this problem. Who wants to carry a paper towel in hand when it rains.

The CR-V is good, but not great.
The level of quality in this new Honda is not as high as I would have expected. I've been to the dealer three times with one repair taking 7 hours and the other vibration issue in the front end extending to the steering wheel unresolved. Tires were re-balanced to no avail. Ultimately, the dealer said I should think of getting rid of the vehicle before the warranty ends. That's a stellar vote of confidence in the products they sell. The interior is nice and the seats are mostly comfortable, though not for all. The infotainment system has been working well and is easy to navigate. The paint is very soft and chips very easily. So easily that touch-up paint should be included with your purchase. Gas mileage is great, but acceleration is weak with the 1.5 T. Overall, the vehicle is okay, but I would not purchase again. This is one of those one and done situations. I wish good luck to all who purchase...

Poor exterior fit and finish
Fenders, hood are misaligned. Large and uneven gaps. Adjacent sheet metal surfaces do not flow together. Excessive panel adhesive on interior of all doors leaves raised rough surfaces. Other than crude finish, seems to be a decent car. After three weeks of ownership, I'll see what the dealership will do. Wish me luck! Update to dealer visit: According to dealer tech, I will have to live with the poor build quality. Also, your CR-V, came out of Canada and does not have the quality of 2016 and previous generations. Look around the lot, the 2017's aren't that well made. If we try to improve alignment of hood and fenders, we could make it worse. What a great buying experience. I will get into a Chevy, sooner than later.

My 0.02 cents
Owned it for about a month so far and I'm both disappointed and impressed about different features/quirks of this car. On the positive side quality of materials and technology is very impressive for a Honda giving this thing good value. But on the driving dynamics front it's a complete garbage. Acceleration is very lethargic, cvt is trash because it doesn't know what to do most of the time and there's a jerk around 25mph when you step on the gas pedal lightly. Fuel economy is around 23mpg in NYC mixed driving. Breaks are terrible and steering leaves a lot to be desired due to vagueness and sloppy response. Looking on rear exhaust it already looks like it will rust away in a season or two because welds already turning orange. My local chop shop does same quality exhausts as Honda did here. My advice if you are coming from any kind of decent driving car to this you will be terribly disappointed. It does many things well but none great. As point A to B appliance it'll do and nothing more.

Awesome Vehicle
This model is so much more advanced in every aspect compared to the 2016 CRV. I traded my 2016 in for the 2017 so I really know what I'm talking about. The wife and I just love this vehicle!

Ford Escape already more-reliable than Honda CR-V
Yes, that's right. People that buy Honda are living with the past now, and future is never any guarantee. In reality, a Ford Escape is rated more-reliable than Honda CR-V now. Check carcomplaints.com and JD Power. Time to go back to American cars... How stupid I am buying a Honda again, when Honda does nothing but cut corners in quality now.

Not all leather
I felt mislead when I asked the salesmen if the interior seats were all leather. Two salesmen said yes, "all Leather". Not true! In fact the interior of the car is mostly vinyl. Do your research. Honda is now replacing what was mostly leather, with vinyl. Only the middle part of the seats and middle part of the back is leather. But it all looks like leather. Check it out! It still looks nice inside, but don't be fooled. The salesmen should know better than to tell a customer it's all leather. Beware when the car pamphlet says "Leather-trimmed".

I'm on my third one
Whether you're coming off of another compact SUV or, like me you're on your third Honda CRV there's nothing bad to say. My first CRV was the second model year that they produced, and I got 230,000 miles on it. My second CRV was a 2002 and I got 240,000 miles on it. I just bought a new 2017, end it feels almost magical. The great thing for most CRV owners is that it mostly stays the same and yet they keep making it better! I think this is the only car I'd ever buy.

CRV finally won me over
In years past, when ever I checked out the CRV, it lost to the Subaru Outback in many areas. However, the 2017 CRV Touring AWD made me switch. At first, I was skeptical of even giving it the once-over, considering the "small" 1.5L turbo engine. I was more than a bit surprised at the excellent performance of this engine, whether on the interstate or traversing the mountains of Vermont. This engine is terrific and you will not want for power. The CRV drives well and is comfortable. My steep off road test seemed to be on par with the symetrical all wheel dirve Subaru, which also surprised me - but winter will be the final test. My gas mileage is about 30 around town and around 33 on the highway. The CRV also seems quieter than my Outback. I had a couple of interesting options installed on my Touring CRV - the sport bumpers and the large body side mouldings. These options give the CRV a much more muscular look. My only real complaint is the itsy-bitsy gas tank - it could use another 4 gallons. Jeepers, Honda ... can't you find a spot for another four gallons? I guess I should also mention the funky two-tier storage arrangement behind the rear seat - what is up with that? I guess it is because of the design of the rear seat - when it folds down, it was at a different elevation (higher) that the storage area, so Honda made it so you could raise the storage floor to be at the same elevation as the folded seat. Update: The intermittent wiper operation has proven to be annoying ... instead of using a strictly time-based wiper delay, the Honda uses a moisture sensor, which is unreliable. Apparently, the wiper is supposed to cycle (on/off/speed) based upon how much moisture is detected on the windshield. Well, sometimes the wiper will not cycle even though the windshield is plastered with rain, while at other times the wiper will shift into high speed when there is almost no water on the windshield - a classic case of "regression thru technology". Bring back the old reliable time-based system!

May new Honda CRV EXL Is Somewhat Of A Disapointme
My new 2017 Honda CRV EXL is somewhat of a disappointment because : A. It didn’t come with roof rails and crossbars, B. Back window on rear hatch doesn’t open, C. I don’t like there climate control , when using autostart during the winter at times my fan speed that I set on high does not always engage on high. I’ve called Honda Customer Service in the past about goodwilling and installing new roof rails and crossbars and the person I spoke with could care less telling me that it was my problem. All CRV’s should come with a roof rack especially if the rear window doesn’t open.

Sporty SUV
We purchased our Honda CRV based on positive consumer reviews that we found on Edmunds. Our new SUV is so easy and safe to drive. You will not be disappointed with this vehicle. The only negative that we have found so far is the fuel economy. Honda lists 28 mpg city and 34 mpg highway, but we have been getting only 26 mpg combined city/highway.

Extremely Uncomfortable
I loved everything about this car during the test drive. The interior and exterior are amazing. The tech is the best in class and it seemed overall great. Then I took it home and my opinion changed. I tried every seating position and even used cushions, but could not get comfortable. Even worse than that, after 15 minutes in the car my entire foot and leg started to go numb. I made myself take it for a long drive and by the time I got to my destination my entire foot and leg ere completely numb. It took a while to get the feeling completely back and then the pain took over. I was limping the entire next day. So on the way back I tried cushions and other positions and nothing changed. The seats press on my static nerve and cause all of this to happen. I recommend this car for all of its features, but do not recommend it for comfort. If comfort is important to you look at different cars like the Subaru Forester or Mazda CX-5. I will be selling this back to the dealer for a big loss because I refuse to keep a car that will hurt me. Just beware before buying.

Mold and Rust under the car
I purchased a Honda CRV 2017 Touring January 2017 and I noticed the long tube that connects to both muffler is rusting and molding. I went back to my dealer Paragon Honda in Queens , NY and I was told that it's a manufacturer problem and that is how is made. I am furious because I paid 38,000.00 for my vehicle and they told me there is nothing I can do. I guess I am going to present this case to my lawyer and see what I can do .
RUN.....
Honda used to be quite a dependable car brand. My family had 2 civics back when i was young and they were great reliable cars. They were also a very good value. I bought an odyssey in 2011 and put 125k on it with very few problems and an enjoyable ownership experience but for one issue, The awesome smooth and highly enjoyable to drive V6 they use (Best in the industry for sure) had horrible oil burning issues due to the ECO modes that shut cylinders on and off intermittently. The car burnt oil wildly (quart every 1,000 miles) and it took up to six months and after clocking 80k on the van before they would finally address the issue. The dealers ALWAYS play stupid with these known (posted all over the internet) problems because they don't make much fixing Honda factory problems. (pre-negotiated rates with Honda for recall and factory responsible work) I got rid of the van and bought a pilot (2015) same as the Odyssey, love the car and engine except now for the same issue, as well as other "vibration" (bad torque converter I believe) issues that the Dealer once again is playing dumb with. Oh then there's the 2017 I just bought for my daughter (not sure why i just did that) My brother has a 2011 CRV that I've driven and liked quite a bit so i bought the newer model (2017) sight unseen and without driving. OK folks, if you're a little older like me and have been driving around in automatic transmissions most of your life and you've actually got a pulse, CVT transmissions SUCK. It's like driving my late fathers first gen Chevy Equinox. Looked real sharp (for Chevy at the time) on the inside and outside but then when you drive it, it feels and sounds like a go-cart. Anything under 30 mph is horrible, you'd better plan in advance if you need to accelerate quickly because the "Rubber Band" effect with this CVT transmission is real and alarming. Sure once you get going, it starts to move quickly but it's straining to do it and there is very little confident tactile feedback something Honda was very good with on their older vehicles. heavy steering and if you take turns a little too quickly the tires nearly roll. For the money there are better options folks. Test drive before you buy one I myself am done with Honda and i'll likely just dump the CRV as I hate driving it. With all the brain power over there its unbelievable that these never vehicles sell as they do.. I used to own European vehicles, Loved driving them but just got so annoyed with servicing them ($$$). Seeing how these days even the Honda dealerships are doing everything they can to up-charge service visits, its the same deal. Same creepy experience every time i go in. Going forward i'll just pay up and at least enjoy driving again. A friend of mine just bought a Mazda CX-5. It's no comparison to the CRV, check it out (drive it) I was floored in comparison. I'm going in that direction try before you buy and go on line and do your research. Best

Another great Honda
I am bias, love Honda, 6 of them so far and 2nd CRV, they are reliable, easy to maintenance, best of all the handling is of one the best for "low" end vehicle. Tested drive Hyundai Tucson, Santa fe, Nissan Rogue, Mazda CX5 (bad), and Subaru Outback which better handling a bit but slower acceleration. I like how Honda hugs the curve at high speed, responsive. Test drive like this to see how the vehicle can help avoiding accident, as expected, turning radius is small. The vehicle can steer itself through gentle curve at highway speed, even at late dawn. 30MPG @ 80 MPH, 28MPG @ mix city/hwy. Capless gas tank is cool, hope it is ok for a long time. 25700 CRV EX AWD + 800 dealer fee (makeup profit fee) 100 doc fee + state mandatory fee

Road Noise
This is my 3rd CRV and though the road noise problems with the others (2002, 2009) the 2017 is better in that aspect. My car came with M/S tires and they are noisy on rough surfaces - worn concrete blacktop that has been torn up by studded tires. I do think that a lot of it could be taken care of with a less aggressive tire tread. I am about 1/2 way through a 3 year lease and the car has only about 5500 miles on it so will not invest money in different tires until I make a decision to buy the car at the end of the lease. Other than that, I truly think that it is the best car that I have ever owned!

Honda Never Again
This car has a reliability problem from the moment you drive it off the dealer lot. It has issues dealing with snow and dashboard lights up or just goes black intermittently and can only be corrected by turning the car off or disconnecting the battery and then reconnecting the battery. When this no longer works and the check engine light becomes more of a nuisance the dealer then indicates you need new fuel injectors and also indicates the catalytic converter likely will not pass inspection as a result of the bad fuel injectors. This is just a small portion of the issues with this car that I bought new in January of 2017. The next car I buy will definitely be a Toyota.
Love my new car
Please just shop around at different dealers. Might be able to work out a better price (significant) for same car if you are willing to travel a little for it.

oil contaminated with gasoline
After reading about others with the 1.5 turbo, Car had 13,000 miles. I checked my oil. at 2500 miles after the previous oil change, mine was 65% depleted. at 3500miles it was 85% depleted, and I was noticing gas fumes in the car and in my garage. Dealer said this was normal for the car, especially if I took short trips, and engine didn't warm up properly. First of all, I bought a new car. Second - I rarely take short trips. Third I never had a similar problem with any other kid, even when I was a kid when I drive a few blocks to school every day. Third this is a known problem, yet even Honda Cus Svc refuses to reveal any problem anywhere it if you live in warm states ( AZ). Next I called dealers in northern states where they are fixing these cars. Service managers have told me there is a fix, but only if check engine comes on. So dealers tell the truth, but honda employees at corporate level are instructed to lie. In China with a similar engine. all 1.5 engines are subject to recall. Stay away from all honda EFI engines , not just the 1.5. better yet, don't trust honda

Could be better
I tested this car as was interested in the 2017 revamp. The 190hp is weak and noisy. Sitting in the back seat it's noisy there as well. I don't like the shifter being so far up and forward as it's awkward and can block controls when in park. Honestly I wish they would bring back V6 engine as most of the fours are so noisy and lack sufficient power. Overall found the car like an appliance rather then something fun or interesting to drive.

Love it!
Purchased a 2017 CR-V EX-L AWD. My previous car was a 2008 same model. While I loved the 2008, no mechanical problems at all, this 2017 is amazing. The noise level is gone, seats are super comfortable and the safety features are incredible. I do miss my hard shelf in the trunk area and the floor space between the front seats. The only fault on the car is the info screen. It's clunky and takes several steps to get to the right screen. Dear HONDA, GOOGLE maps would make this car perfect! In the meantime, I have to use my phone for the best navigation. The Honda and apple maps do not compare to google maps! Update: 13 months later, I still love my CR-V. The only issue I have is the info screen needs help. My XM radio constantly displays "not available" messages and it's still difficult to navigate through the system. LOVE the gas mileage.

Great car but terrible front seat.
This is my first Honda and I thought I would love it. But the front drivers seat is so uncomfortable that it is a torture to drive it more than 20 miles. My right hip and lower back hurt so bad it takes all the fun out driving. Everything else in the car is great. I love all the safety features but I might have to take a financial loss and try a different car.

Honda Reputation Hype
We bought a left over 2017 Touring (2WD) in early 2018. It was purchased primarily as my wife's vehicle. Overall she is satisfied although, like me, thinks the electronics across the board are marginal (we are tech knowledgeable). I am a very knowledgeable car enthusiast,my gripes are as follows: the CVT transmission is awful (after 1 year I don't like it), the electronics are marginal (so convoluted and slow), the door storage pockets are placed badly (unless you hug the steering wheel), the design of the back seat entrance is bad-if you lean into the back seat to get anything your clothes will rub against the tire, the selection mode for driver seat positioning does not include the mirrors, the gas mileage has not matched the listed ratings. We have driven Honda & Acura models for the past 25 years, our latest Acura being a 2015 TLX, and I am disappointed in it, mainly the transmission and infotainment system/controls. So what's going on at Honda? Following two years of use and about 22,000 miles my earlier comments stand.

Oil Contamination
We purchased a 2017 CRV. The new 1.4 litre turbo has a direct port fuel injection that squirts too much fuel against the cylinder walls. This ends up running down into the crankcase and diluting the oil. This is not good. Reduced viscosity due to engine oil dilution will result in shorter engine life. We immediately traded the car of on a different brand after only owning it for a year and a half. Because it was clear to us that Honda was not going to make any effort to rectify the issue. China has already made Honda recall all the vehicles over there, and a class suit has started in Georgia, so it made sense to dump it while its still worth something.
One of the BEST SUVs on the Market!!
I traded a 2003 Honda Odyssey for the all new 2017 Honda CRV EX-AWD at the time. Black metallic with black interior. I was thinking about purchasing the 2016 CR-V, but then the dealer informed me that there will be a complete design change the following year. I was NOT disappointed. The new CR-V looks sporty, drives exceptionally well and definitely gives all of the 200 HP available. I happened to purchase the EX version and there was so many features included for the money. For instance, lane keeping assist, lane departure, blind spot warning with cross traffic, moon roof, and one of my favorite feature, wood trimming inside. I was very impressed with the drive when I test drove it originally. Currently, I use it everyday to commute to school, and it definitely picks up power on the freeway. If you use Sport Mode (S), then it will definitely boost up the acceleration. Gas mileage it says you average about 27 in the city and 33 on the highway. I almost ALWAYS average near 30 MPG on one tank of gas (and that is a combination of surface streets and freeways). Sticker price for the EX is about $29,000 but I was able to get it a little cheaper due to 2 trade-ins. Overall, you will not be disappointed, technically its my first car I've owned and Honda has always continued to impress me!

The best of ALL SUV's!
I've only test driven this car, have not bought yet due to lack of money. the model I test drove was the EX-L edition. Let's just say, I test drove the Haundai Tucson, Ford Escape, and Toyota RAV4. They don't hold a candle to the new CRV! I love almost everything about this car! It drives smoothly in every area, and the handling is amazing. It feels like you are in a small crossover. The interior features are great, such as the 20-way power lumbar (on EX-L and higher editions I believe), the seats are extremely comfortable, even for people like be with back problems. Every single part of the car is high quality. Love the soft materials all around including the dashboard. A major plus for me is that the NAV screen doesn't glare and reflect in the driver's face, unlike the Ford and Toyota. I also really like the full LED headlights (on Touring model) and full LED rear lights. I'm a fan of all of the styling elements except for the wheels. Many people like them and you might as well, but they don't fit my style. I do like the rims style on the LX (base model) they are less detailed but still high quality. All around it seems like really high quality materiel. The plastics, leather, trim, and the Navigation system work really well. Doesn't take forever to load on the setup screen. Sitting inside, you feel like you're in a BMW or Volvo! Not kidding. Oh and the ''wood'' trim! Is amazing!! It's a high quality, non plastic looking fake wood trim that looks real. It's has a matte finish and a real wood color. And the reliability. CRV'S last forever! Not uncommon to get over 300,000 miles on the engine with no problems at all. Test drive this car if you want an amazing SUV! You will want to buy it.

I still got it…..speaking of my 2017 Honda CRV
I needed an AWD vehicle and drove several models. I chose the 2017 Honda CRV because I liked the interior arrangement and redesigned exterior. The middle seat belt needs redesign. After nearly 6 years of ownership I still like my CRV. When the car was new it had a water pump replaced, a seat repaired, weather stripping replaced, shift knob replaced (recall), and there is a standing recall in place regarding some mechanical issues if they arise. The Honda dealership/company has worked with me like a good company should. I am still pleased with my CRV. I just turned over 60K miles and still running strong.

Love ,love, love this car!
When I was looking to purchase a new car I quickly came to the conclusion that I wanted a small to mid size SUV and narrowed my search down to the Lexus NX or the Honda CRV. I choose the Honda CRV and have been very happy, the CRV cost less then the Lexus but, has all the luxury features the Lexus has.

As has been advertised
Update 2. Battery failed after 18 months. Terrible service from Honda Roadside Assistance. Ended up changing out battery myself, with zero compensation, despite 3 year replacement warranty. Update. AC failed after one year. Not expected. 6 hrs in shop. After a test drive, we were sold. Compared to Mazda, Toyota, and Nissan, the Honda blew the competition out of the water. Excellent room in the cockpit. Good handling. Comfortable seats. After 1400 miles, average fuel economy is 35 mpg (half highway and half city driving). The best part is my wife (5'0) and myself (6'0) both can adjust the seats/mirrors for good comfort.

Owning a second SUV
I love this new 2017 CRV. The driving is very comfortable and the gas mileage is much better comparing to my 2016 Subaru Forester. The great thing about this CRV is that it has the option of Econ mode. This mode gives me roughly 30 MPG in mixed driving. Mind you that Econ mode still gives you the performance when needed. But you need to punch it in. When you are in regular mode, the acceleration is pretty good, feels sporty and great handling. Depending on the mood of the day, I can switch to different mode.

Does and Does Not Exceed Expectations
After test driving several vehicles in the same class as the CR-V, I chose the CR-V EXL because it has nearly everything or more than its competitors for a much lower price. In terms of fit and finish, the interior of my CR-V EXL is superior than the Kia Sorento or the Chevrolet Equinox. The technology my CR-V came with is seems very current and up to date, and I have enjoyed every minute of it. One major downfall as far as the entertainment system is that this car did not come with a CD player. In terms of road noise, my CR-V is very disappointing. You would think the EXL trim package would include better sound insulation than the lower trims. I paid more, so I should get more in terms of sound insulation - plain and simple. I'm a fairly small to medium-sized guy, so the interior fits my body type very well. Taller people could fit comfortably, but this doesn't seem like a tall person kind of vehicle. I've only had it for 4 weeks, so I can't speak as to the reliability of my CR-V. Front seat comfort seems adequate, but rear seat feels like sitting on a park bench. Rear climate control is ABYSMAL, as the rear vent located behind the front arm rest barely pumps out a breeze for rear occupants. There should be a control switch so that rear passengers can adjust fan level up or down as they wish. Gas mileage is adequate when in Econ mode, but acceleration is severely hampered unless you take it out of Econ mode. Funny, it has a turbo which is supposed to give the 4-cylinder more gusto in acceleration, but Econ mode eliminates the gusto altogether and you're back where you started: a gutless 4 cylinder engine propelling a smaller, but hulky SUV. I think I would have preferred a 6-cylinder engine. The exterior style is far superior to that of any competitor in its class, as far as I'm concerned. Overall, my CR-V EXL has been extremely pleasant to drive. I still feel that it stands head and shoulders above any of its competitors in all aspects, though I have my wishes as to improvements that could be made.

Great Automobole
This is the 3rd Honda CRV that I have owned. I am more than pleased!!!! I love the fact that I can adjust both front seats automatically. I love that the back opens with the click of a button. The back-up view on the dash is excellent. I receive messages on the dash when maintenance is due. Great!!

electronics have a mind of their own
A great car overall in all aspects - comfort, economy, handling, etc. But, I find the electronic features often have a mind of their own. I'm driving down the freeway with no other cars within a hundred yards of me and all of a sudden the orange "brake" warning light comes on. It goes off within a second or two. Also, driving along, the left turn blinker light in the left side mirror goes on and the warning beeper sounds. I haven't touched the turn signal lever and there are no cars to my left - zip, nada. Again, the light and sound go off in a couple of seconds. The brake thing has happened twice in the ten months or so I've owned the vehicle and the turn signal thing happens about once a week. In addition to these issues, twice I've had the "low tire pressure" light go on, the first time causing me to get off the freeway only to find the tires all look perfectly fine. I put a spritz of air in them and re-set the warning light and all is well until the same thing a few months later. I think there's either a malfunction or the sensor is too sensitive to a loss of 1 or 2 psi. The most recent kerfuffle was finding all four windows down and the sunroof wide open upon going out to my car in the morning. I've since learned that it's an issue with my key fob - holding down the unlock button too long - I guess something pushed against it while it was in my pocket. Overall, I have to say it's a great car and I'm glad I bought it but the electronic features are a nuisance, especially the "safety" issues that put me into a near panic mode thinking I'm missing something when there's nothing there to miss. I'm also disappointed there is no cd player. Come on Honda, you can do better. Updated review. There are now 13,000 miles on the vehicle and the electronics issues stated above seem to have repaired themselves - only one fake turn signal light and no fake brake warning light. The tire pressure light was my fault - there was a nail in the tire and no more issues once I got the tire repaired. I have some mild concern about the reports of gas in the engine oil that is causing some recalls but my vehicle hasn't had any of those issues yet. So far, it's still a great car and I'm glad I bought it. A new wrinkle. I've always noticed there is a time delay between putting the car in "drive" and the transmission actually engaging. The delay isn't long, maybe a second or so. It was never a problem until a few days ago when I was on a steep hill. Without thinking, I put the car in drive, stepped on the gas and discovered how far a car can roll back in that one second delay. Of course I now know better but I've never had that problem with other cars including other Hondas. Also, I don't use half the electronic dash features nor have I consistently figured out how to reset displays, etc. It's all trial and error for me. Of course being in my 70s and electronically challenged, it's mostly my fault I suppose. I just wish new cars were simpler. Otherwise the Honda is going fine - no problems (except the occasional light glitches mentioned above. Latest update, still have my Honda and it's running great. No new issues except the plastic button on the gear shift broke. I taped it together and drove to a dealer (Dublin Honda, CA) and they replaced it at no cost. Overall a great car and the earlier issues seem to have gone away. Latest update: Still going strong - no issues except for that darn tire pressure warning. Otherwise I'm happy with it.

Just what you expect from Honda
2017 redesigned CRV is right on the mark. I highly recommend the EXL model; it is loaded with the latest technology and features. The safety features are one of the main reasons I purchased a new vehicle. The CRV is practical, economical yet fun and easy to drive. Expect to enjoy this vehicle for many years to come.

front seat
the driver side seat move forward when you walk up to it that makes it hard to get in it should move all the way back when you cut the motor off so it is easy to get out of & stay there till whoever gets in it to drive and adj to that driver when you start it! you have to reach to far under to dash to release the steering wheel to adjust it! the passenger seat needs more adjustments & the bottom is to short from the back to the front edge so on long trips my wife feet swelled up and she was not comfortable!!!!!.other than this i am ok with it.

LOVE OUR CR-V
This is a great mid-sized SUV. I thought at first I would miss having my Malibu, but after only a week, this is the best car I have ever owned.

comfort
We own the touring with power pass front seat. Seat does not go up and down and sits too low and is very hard not like the drivers 6 way power seat. Also hard to get in and out of the pass seat. We would not have purchased this vehicle if we had known that the pass seat was not like the drivers seat. We had a 2013 Chevy Equinox with both power front seats and they were great but no pickup in that model. The new ones have a 1.5 liter. turbo engine. We are thinking of trading this in for the Chevy Equinox and the CR-V has only 2600 miles on it.

More than I expected
This vehicle had more power, room, and comfort than I honestly expected. I anticipated a good car from Honda (this being my third), but it really exceeded my expectations. Everyone has commented on the ride and comfort, especially the older folk, and it's a terrifically handled car - not SUV-like at all. I call it my Tardis, far more room on the inside than appears on the outside.

Great car
It is compact SUV. Bigger space than car but not as big as mini van. Back seats are not that wide to hold three adults. I wish the front camera can show how close the car is to the sides of garage door frame and how close to the curb when parking
