Great car
Bought to tow behind class "A" motorhome (2014 was last warranted year) and used to explore local areas while traveling. We lived in the motorhome for 5 years while we explored the U. S. and Canada. It was a great experience and the CR-V was a great part of that. Now over 140,000 miles with no major or unexpected maintenance needs. It is still a smooth quiet ride that will handle bad roads with ease.

Still Love It!
Bought this vehicle new in September 2013. It has been a great vehicle. Have only had to do routine maintenance, and replace wear items- brakes and tires. Body, trim and rims still look great.

Known ring issue with this year
Our 2014 CR-V EX was consuming 1 quart of oil every 3,000 miles. My mechanic said this is a known issue for this year. We only had 65,000 miles and consuming oil is not good. Traded it in on a new BMW.

Brake / caliper issue
I bought a "certified" pre-owned 2014 Honda CR-V from Herb Chambers in Seakonk MA. The car had 30,000 miles when I bought it. When I brought it in for the first oil change @ approx. 36,000 miles I was told I needed rear brake pads. I found this frustrating and contacted Herb Chambers who of course did nothing. I also contacted Honda USA, who told me that sometimes the brakes will "lock" and wear out the pads. It's not happened again and I'm replacing the pads for a second time in a 18 months and this time the calipers as well.

Remains a Great value - Small things still annoy
We've had this for about 66 months and 48K+ miles, It replaced an older Honda Crosstour - glad we did. The CRV is comfortable, highly maneuverable, great visibility and very economical for an AWD. The controls are easy to use. No touch screen, which we found a deal killer in the new CR-Vs We would consider this car again if we were in the market. In late 2018, we purchased a new car - not a Honda, regretfully. We eliminated the new CRV because of the gas in oil issue with 1.5L Turbo engine and the info center. If the reliable 2.4 L engine were available in higher trim lines, we would have probably gone with a 2nd CRV. The main things that still annoy are the dysfunctional cruise control that simply doesn't work and the poor shift points in the 5 speed transmission - especially in eco mode, which we never use. Other than that, it continues to be a really great car.

Thumbs down on CRV
Tinny and unsafe unpredictable driving in New England weather. Slid right through a red light today - braking and AWD useless - no problem though for the little Prius in front of me! This vehicle has been disappointing since day one and is very overrated. MPG is 22.5 at best. Does not hold its value- I owe more than it is worth . Owned Jeeps for 20 years and loved them. Did not consider another one due to Chrysler Corp's and local dealership very poor customer backing and service. They do not stand by their customers or honor warranty's so that is why I did not consider doing business with Jeep/Chrysler . Definitely not impressed with Honda though. Probably go back to Jeep - at least I will feel safer while driving in New England winter weather and will not depend on customer backing by Chrysler or dealership.

Pros and Cons
Pros: Its great to sit up high in traffic so I can see well ahead. The electric seats are very easy to adjust. The car has good power and responds quickly. The back-up monitor is well placed, is easy to see and understand, and helps me keep track of anything behind the car. Steering wheel adjusts in so many ways that I feel very comfortable driving. I like the car, but I miss my previous car. I bought this car so I could tow it behind my RV. I couldn't tow my previous car 4-wheels down behind the RV. All of the following Cons are based on differences between this car and my previous car (a Prius). Cons: The steering wheel gets in the way of viewing the speedometer, dials, and problem indicators, so I have to take my eyes off the road and bend my head to see how fast I'm going or to make sure there are no problem indicators lit up. The speedometer is not digital, so I have to guesstimate my speed. The ride is rougher than my previous car, and feels bouncier. With my previous car, I never needed to use a key. I could just touch the driver's door handle and the car would unlock as long as I had the key in my pocket or purse, and the car had a push-button start. Now, I must have my key in my hand to open the door and to start the car (which means digging in my purse to find the key). Just a slight inconvenience, but difficult to deal with after 7 years of the previous car.

ALWAYS IMITATED NEVER DUPLICATED !!!!!!
To all the doubters out there who have their little hangups about Honda CRV .. you are clueless...maybe its because you are so used to driving your domestic junk ! The Honda CRV is the best SUV in this class that money can buy period based on just quality and dependability alone!!! Not to mention it's comfortable, quiet and it just plain works.....body craftsmanship has vastly improved and interior quality is superb; mine EX-L has heated power leather seats and auto climate control just to name a few of the options that are far superior than anything i have ever driven and mileage is very respectable 30 mpg highway all things considered for an AWD.......... Not going to win any drag races with it nor am i looking to but after 200,000 miles and 10 years of daily use this will still be on the road trouble free while the rest of the other junk will be in a repair shop or a scrap yard. It also holds better resale value after 5 years than most garbage that is 2-3 yrs old. At 54000 trouble free miles this 2014 continues to impress in the brutal cold and snowy Minneapolis winter with 30” this month alone, never once stuck and started right up with remote start at -36F. Honda continues to impress and build quality cars and that is why they’re at the top. All else is just sheet metal.

Love Honda's
That with 26700 miles on it all it will need in the next 5000 miles is a set of net tires. The only reason I am filling out his is for the chance to win $100. I am waiting for a few of friends to see if they can sell their cars and when they do I will sell them this Honda and then I will buy a 2019 Honda right now I am waiting for all the 2019 Honda's to come out, this is how good my cars have been I sold my 2002 Honda CRV AWD to my brother youngest daughter and as of 7-20-2018 she has 302,000 miles on it and all it has been done to is maintence, but this 2002 all it has ever been put on was the best Mobil 1 full syn. oil, and flush out transmission and refill with full syn. fluid as you can see my brother kept this 2002 as perfect as you can.

is it too late for 2015
I hope the 2015 CR-V model will put the AC vents like they were in the 2010 model. I also hope they can change the rear view out of the vehicle, if possible at all. Otherwise, perfect vehicle.
My first Honda
I am elderly. I have had many, many cars. This is my first Honda, and I have to say, I am thrilled with this vehicle. Zero problems, so far, great gas mileage, more performance than I expected from this little 2.4.
Bought a 2019 CRV
Almost 4 years, still running great.

Extremely pleased with everything after 9 months search and comparison, RAV4, Mazda CX5 & CRV
56 year old grandparents and mostly just the 2 of us and then our 2yr old grandson. I was looking for the best mpg med-small SUV with the most room, safety, quiet, and dependability. I was real close to getting the Mazda but I kept reading reviews of interior noise and back seat discomfort and I read too many complaints on the RAV4. I am more than pleased with the 2014 CRV. Comfort front and rear, good interior noise control & room, great ride, features, great gas mileage. In the first 1500 miles, the worst was(real) 24mpg with mostly town miles & best (real)33mpg highway with AC and packed full. I have no complaints! A feature that I did not know it had was the ability to downshift into 3rd.
Fantastic, Roomy, Pleasant to Drive

Owning this SUV for one year
So far I am very satisfied with the purchase. However, the drivers seat could be more comfortable for big people on long rides. Otherwise I am very satisfied with the vehicle.

Good pickup onto highway. Smooth ride. Comfortable driver's seat. Just wish the passenger seat had the same electronic adjustments that the drivers seat has. Smooth riding with acceleration to match. Just enough electronics for a novice like me. Plenty of storage, seating and headroom for rear seating. Dealer was great from the sales pitch to the registration of the vehicle. Only had the vehicle for 9 months but would buy another in the future.

You get what you pay for
The CR-V space wise became to small and it did not have get up and go power when carrying 4 people on the highway. It was good for me and my wife at the beginning, but after several years, we traged it in for a Subaru Forester. I like the ride and comfort of my CR-V, although acceleration could be better, economically it makes up for it

I love my 2014 Honda CRV !
This vehicle is a Honda that I’m proud to own and drive. It handles well and hasn’t given me any mechanical problems. It hasn’t needed much repair just the usual maintenance, like oil changes and tire rotations. Very little fuel cost as it has a 15 gallon fuel tank. Nice and roomy interior with seating for 5 people with cargo room in the back. It has an AM- FM radio and CD player. It’s Bluetooth compatible and I can charge my cell phone as well as my passengers cell phone as well. I always am able to hook up my smartphone and play music and phone calls.

My first car
Honestly not a single problem with this car. No service needed other than the normal routine oil changes and new brake pads. Very impressed.
great car
I bought it with 69k on it. Love it, but am frustrated with the vtc actuator. Honda knows it's defective and won't stand behind it.
All around a great car!
In balance we loved it. If only Honda had put a little more sound insulation into it, it would have been perfect. But it was very reliable. Not one repair needed in 7 years, I just changed the fluids according to recommendations.

Blue Beauty!
I really enjoyed test driving the 2014 CR-V LX. I thought it was very roomy and comfortable. I thought it had pretty good acceleration, and was fun to drive. The storage was impressive with back seats down. The LX is well equipped, but does not have a sun roof if that is something you are looking for. The 2014 has the 5 speed auto transmission, which I liked. I also tested a 2016 with a CVT, that I also liked, but it had some hesitation when first starting out. I did not wind up buying the CR-V, I wound up with a 2015 Honda Civic. The main reason I went for the Civic was because I wanted a stick shift car and found a certified beauty. But I would not hesitate to recommend the CR-V, it is a really nice vehicle, and can be bought as a Certified Honda car for a warranty and more confidence in what you are buying. I did not get to try it in snow, but I imagine the All Wheel Drive version which I drove would be great in the snow, especially with snow tires mounted.

Surprisingly affordable
This car came to me used, with over 90,000 miles on it I am just starting to feel the pains of the needed repairs.
CRV ok but is no Pilot!
Needs a little more leg room, arm rest on passenger side, better horn and better acceleration.
