It performs as as advertised
40+ MPG on trips, 30+ MPG in city, as advertised, great performance, good styling, responsive handling, and reliable.
Good so far
Got 41 mpg on first tank of gas. I suspect that will go up slightly as car gets broken in. I don't know why some people complain about not getting 50 mpg. Those estimates are under ideal situations. You never can replicate those conditions exactly. Interior quality is very good, car is quiet , low road noise. Generous legroom and headroom (I'm 6'2"). Acceleration from standstill isn't great, but once it gets going it does well. Going up on hills is fine, because the battery assists the motor. Overall I'm happy

bargin performance
This car is one performance bargin for the dollar. I got the car for 20,540 which was sticker. do not pay over sticker, these cars can be found for sticker. 197 hp from 2.0 liter engine, no turbo,no s/c, amazing.I have 8000 miles, no problems whatsoever. excellent build qualilty throughout.
High on Honda
Our fourth new Honda, previously owned Accords. Find our new Civic roomy, responsive, and well put together. Would recommend the Civic to my closest friends.
Best for the long haul
Extraordinarily reliable and economical. After 193,000 miles I am getting the same gas mileage as when I bought it. Will get 33 mpg on 80 mph trips. Roomy and comfortable. Love the styling. I wish the current Civics looked this good. Very comfortable. A bit loud in the cabin at speed. Car has always been somewhat sensitive to crown of roadways and will tend to drift to lower side of canted road. Has been this way since purchase. Likely due to the aggressive steering geometry which gives the car it's sharp handling. I've improved this by using different alignment settings than the Honda recommendations. Very well made car throughout. Upholstery appears in perfect condition with no tears or visible wear after 10+ years and almost 200,000 miles. Great sound system. I highly recommend this car as a choice for a used vehicle. From what I've read, the new Civics are not providing this kind of reliability, although they surpass this model year in performance.
