Defective engine.
Defective engine. Dealers hid underlying problem when water pump had to be replaced 3 times for broken bolts. Bolts holding engine to chassis just dropped out. When I said there was something wrong, bolts don't just break. I was told there was nothing wrong with the bolts. They thought 130,000 miles was good for the Consumers car of the year.

inflated popularity hype
Do you know what car sales people do when its slow? They create free email accounts, fake user names and positive experiences and then post them on this and other consumer review web sites. Wow did this car put me on a financial roller coaster. If you think reliability when you think Honda, you have been brainwashed. Everywhere, I mean everywhere I took this car for a repair, I would get a report card of failing components with price tags and labor costs equal to 20 percent of the value of the car! I bought this car twice after 4 years, I mean, the same car cost me 22,000 in maintenance and purchase price was 22,000 4 years B4. Best advice if you like this car, buy one new, sell after a yr.
pos
Worst car I have ever owned , nothing but one failure after another and its only got 80,000 mi . I'm not sure if I'm going to fix anything more since the engine block could crack and render the car junkyard bound .

Three Civics In The House
This is our third Civic. Wow, what a change. I'm torn because I really like that the LX model has many of the EX features and the car rides very nicely. But there are a few things I really dislike about the new design. The most important is the window columns create too large of a blind spot. I find this quite dangerous. Another problem I have is, I like to crack my windows a tiny bit to prevent fog on the windshield when it's raining but, I can't because rain comes pouring in. Also, when attempting to accelerate quickly the engine hesitates. It could be I'm not used to an automatic?? I am getting 36 MPG that's a mixture of city and highway driving
LOVE my Civic Hybrid!
Bought this car in November 2009 after making a move to Arkansas. I purchased it with only 48,000 miles on it, plus I lucked out because it is fully loaded with Navi and AUX input for my iPod. Had to drive two hours to Tulsa to get it but it was well worth it; the drive home was so much fun I didnt want to get out of the car when we finally made it back! Its been to Kansas, Texas, Oklahoma, and Tennessee, and I am always the one volunteering to drive because I love it so much. The turn signals on the mirrors are an awesome touch. Has been in the shop twice but only for recall fixes. Would absolutely buy again
