So Fun & Stylish!
Purchased this car November. I had to wait 3 weeks for the car, but well worth it. I have over 2,000 miles. Great in snow and rain held the road great. Love the new design. People are always turning heads. Smooth ride! Can't even hear engine. Cabin Noise is so Quiet. Got over 40mpg on highway! Comfy seats. Love big windshield. Great turning radius. Looked at Prius and this is more stylish and about 5K $ cheaper! Very spacious for a compact car. Highly reccomend this car!! I never write reviews but had to with this car.
Bitter sweet
I've owned my 2006 Civic brand new. There were a few issues within the 1st 26000 miles. The battery and the engine had to be replaced right at 26k. I've read that this was a common problem with this model. The car was still under warranty during that time, so it wasn't a big deal. Then at around 80k miles or so my CD player went out. My warranty was up, so I opted not to get it fixed and just used my AUX input, to listen to my MP3. Other than that I hadn't had any mechanical problems until now, besides regular maintenance and my civic has 268k miles. I think she's about ready to quit on me. I haven't had it diagnosed yet but I think I'm going to retire her and get an Accord. $17k well spent.
Great car for the money
Definitely the fastest base model civic, and a real charm to drive. I put over 90,000 miles on the car in less than four years, from NYC at Friday commute to the length of Highway 1, and hour upon hour in Chicago rush hour. I had no regrets, and am not convinced that my new car will be as reliable over the next year as this car would be. The cabin is spacious and ergonomic. The speedometer is well placed and sufficiently easy to read that it becomes second nature. Visibility is certainly good enough. There are a lot of things that annoy me about this car, but it took a lot of thought and substantially more money to replace the car after years of hard use.
One amazing car
This is one impressive car to drive. You will find yourself turning the radio off just to hear the exhaust note when the VTEC is kicked in. It just makes you smile everytime. I drove it conservatively for a tank and got 34 mpg. The car is a blast to drive and super quick not to mention handling.
Reliable, efficient, sporty and fun!
Had a brand new 2010 Mazda 3 but got rid of it to buy a 4-year-old used Honda Civic for half the price. I can't tell you how happy I am with this car. I get great gas mileage (37 with mixed city/hwy), which is easily 12 mpg better than the Mazda! The interior styling is excellent - I have the beige interior and its so open, light and airy, especially with the sunroof. The seats are spacious and comfortable, and the trunk gives me plenty of storage space for hauling stuff. Back seats are pretty big for a coupe. Love the layout of all the instrumentation, including the handy steering wheel mounted audio controls.
