So Fun & Stylish!
Purchased this car November. I had to wait 3 weeks for the car, but well worth it. I have over 2,000 miles. Great in snow and rain held the road great. Love the new design. People are always turning heads. Smooth ride! Can't even hear engine. Cabin Noise is so Quiet. Got over 40mpg on highway! Comfy seats. Love big windshield. Great turning radius. Looked at Prius and this is more stylish and about 5K $ cheaper! Very spacious for a compact car. Highly reccomend this car!! I never write reviews but had to with this car.
Like it - yes, but not my dream car
It's my first Honda, I like it, but am a little disappointed. It's sharp looking, but needs work. I do enjoy better gas mileage, but this car needs some oomph. It's slow going uphill and struggles to switch gears even on flat ground. If I crack my window when raining it pours in, and there are no Honda door visors available for the 2006 Civic. It sits so low to the ground, that it's tough to get in and out of if you have knee problems, and I'm only 5'4". Sun visor has too much tension, is hard to pull down, and won't stay put. Tires are tiny, I've already scratched the rim on a low curb - other cars might get a tire scuff. The 2006 sits lower than former model years - park next to one and see
Civic Hybrid is a Solid Saver!
I put my deposit down the week after Katrina seeing the price of gas escalate. I traded my smaller SUV because I'm just more of a frugle type of person. The CivicH (like all hybrids) rewards those that will adapt their driving style to the strengths of the car. It always has power to pass reasonably, you just will pay in average gas mileage if you using the power a lot. No big surprise there. Even in the Northeast my lifetime average mileage is ~50 flat. In winter, it's 42-46 (short drive to work) and in summer it's about 56-58. It has been totally reliable and handles my family of 4 with ease. Just plain an excellent Honda with a gas mileage advantage.
2006 Honda Civic Si
This is a very good car for the money, this is the car that you alway want to drive. I have put almost 20k miles within a year. Just traded it for a miata and I'vemissed it ever since. The sound, and the way it goes through curves is just wonderful. I would recomend it to everyone who wants a fun to drive car while still practical and economical. This car feels more powerful than the miata and has a lot of good features. I miss my Si, I will buy this car back some day just to hear the exhaust note and the sound of the vtec switch over.
the most fun for your money
i used to have all kind of vehicles, usually i didn't keep a car for more than 6 to 9 month before i got bored of them but my new si it's just awesome, from performance to design to fuel economy this car is by far the best civic ever and also the kind of vehicle that i really want to keep.
