This Hybrid is a Winner
After driving a 17 year old Honda Civic without any major mechanical break downs, we needed a Honda that would be fuel efficient and safe. We settled on a 2005 Honda Civic Hybrid. This Car is a Winner! Fit and Finish is Excellent, Gas Mileage is consistently above 45mpg and it rides quietly on the open road. You hardly know its a Hybrid except when you see the "Engine Off" light blinking when the Hybrid is running off its battery. Do yourself a favor and purchase Honda, it beats the Toyota Prius hands down. Don't ever worry about the motor stalling out like the Toyota's have been plagued with.
Cheaper gas
It is a great car but so far the MPG hasn't been quite as good as the said it would be but way better than anything else on the market and at $3 a gallon gas, that goes a long way. Hard to get used to the fact it is so quiet, feels like it dies all the time, rather neat

New 2004 Hybrid
Purchased my Honda for the fuel economy because with my husbands job and our rural location we travel quite a bit. I average 45-48 miles per gallon. I love it, it also handles well, and the body style is much better than the Toyota Prius. Thankful that I had the foresight to purchase the vehicle during the high gas prices.
I love this car!
I bought this car last year when local gas prices hit $2.50 per gallon and I had to make 200+ mile trip over the mountains 4-6 a month. The only problem I have ever had in the last year is a nail in the tire. I love this car and I love how easy it is to drive and take care of. This car ROCKS!
Appreciation of quality
I purchased my Honda Civic Hybrid in March of 2004. Since then I have put 50000 km on this vehicle. I have not had one problem to report. I get about 800 km on a tank of gas , the tank holds about 50 liters. I would like to see better fuel economy for this type of vehicle. I do mostly City driving since I do Courier work. On a daily basis, I put about 300 km on this car a day. All in all no complaints, and I am very pleased with the quality of this vehicle. Keep up the good engineering work. Sincerely Ottmar Egger.
