First Impressions -60 miles in
I'll update this review in 1000 miles or so, but for now, I've just brought home my new Honda Accord Sport and commuted once to work. Absolutely no buyers remorse. Having read in a couple of places about transmission jerkiness at low speeds or road noise, I'm thrilled to report I've noticed NO such problems. Car has a fantastic exhaust note, and is whisper quiet. Acceleration is smooth and the vehicle is extremely responsive. The Sport quickly found its way to 80 mph with little prodding and felt as if it was standing still. Seating is incredibly comfortable, and the interior calming and spacious.
Are you Unsure between the 4 or 6 Cylinder? Read on for why the 4 is Awesome
I seldom write reviews but given how much I was unsure about whether to lease the 4 or 6, and how much I LOVE the 4, I thought a review might be helpful to those in the same boat. I drove both the 4 and the 6 and am coming from a 1999 Accord with 178,000 miles that had a powerful V-6. I drove both the 2013 EX-L with Navi 6 and 4 Cylinder. The 6 Cylinder just seemed kind of heavy and I felt as if I had to keep my foot on the pedal all the time. On the other hand, the 4 is very smooth and has plenty of power when needed. And the gas mileage so far that I am getting on the highway (in eco mode) is slightly over 36 on the highway and around 25 in the city. It's an awesome car.
Excessive wind noise at drivers window
New 2013 Accord seems well built. Had two issues from day one. Cloth on seats are not pulled tight. The big issue is the wind noise coming from the drivers side window at high speeds. The dealer has tried to fix twice with no success. The Honda America rep (who was the rudest, most condescending person I have ever met) said he did not hear the noise. I read tons of other people on Accord web-site with same issue. Honda has yet to rectify problem. Dealer drove another Accord off the lot to see if that car had the same problem and sure enough it did. I would not but this car unless you can test drive on a highway to check the wind noise.
A Reliable Car it is not
This is my second Accord with a major repair bill (transmission, and starter motor) before it had 60,000 miles on it. Honda does nothing to offset these repair costs (nearly a $1,000 a piece.) There are many complaints on-line re. the starter motor and yet they refuse to recall the part. They were rude and dismissive when I called Corporate to complain. DON'T BUY THIS CAR!!!!

What a GREAT car!
I don't know where to begin; At 6ft+ I needed something bigger to drive, getting in and out of small cars sucks when you are tall. I also wanted decent MPG and good build quality. I have been shocked by both aspects in the new accord. The seats are comfortable, the MPG is awesome, 35MPG average today, and I have yet to break it in. The clutch is smooth, and the shifter is one of the best I have driven. The ride is quiet and refined and the fit and finish feel and look 40K dollar car like on a sub 20k dollar budget.
