One of the best cars I have ever owned, cant believe people are having problems. Cant say enough about the gas mileage I'm getting 26.6 MPG city, have not done a hwy test as yet. I have just under 6000 miles and enjoy driving this car.

We also own a 2008 Accord EXL navi sedan, and so we can tell how big a jump Honda has made in several areas of this car. First, the 2013 Accord is *quiet*—which is a first for the Accord. Second, the new engine is more powerful, faster, and yet gets better mpg. Finally, the interior quality is almost Acura-like.

4-Door Accord EX 6speed manual -Part II

With 4,000 miles on my Accord, here's an update to my original post. Continue to be impressed with the power and fuel economy this 4 cylinder puts out; although, at times I do miss my prior 6 cyclinder car that had an additional 75 hp. The manual transmission is a joy to operate with short throws and well defined gates. Noticed a few quality issues such as the front defroster vent at the base of the windshield pulling up. Cost cutting is evident on the OE carpeted floor mats. They have a REALLY cheap feel to them.

Fell for the reliability claim

Overall, it is an okay car, but not worth the money I paid for it (new). I would not spend the money to buy again. Seats can get uncomfortable on longer rides and road noise is rather loud (even with new tires). Lots of electrical issues seem to plague the 2013 accord. Ingnition system failures began just after the the warranty expired. I was talked into replacing the starter and torque converter in an effort to fix it and it still does not function properly.

Rattles

For the most part I'm pleased. But the dash noise, rattles and speaks are getting to me. When I first start to drive the car after it's been sitting in the heat the center dash snaps, crackles and pops. Sometimes on rough highways there is a rattle/buzzing noise from the center dash in front of the audio display. If I place my hand on this flat part of the dash the noise stops. I had a friend video this noise just in case the dealer can't reproduce the noise. I don't know if the video will help.
