Loves at first sight turned to disgust!
Amazing gas mileage. I average in the mid to upper 30's and have gotten close to 700 miles per tank. And I don't drive like a grandma. But after only 3 months and 10k miles the love affair is over! After being only a Honda owner I just knew this one would be great like the rest of them. The CVT is horrible in this car. It's jerky at times and sluggish. Other times it performs smoothly for is zippy. It seems like this is a common issue. You just never know what's it's going to do, so sometimes when pulling out into traffic I have to second guess myself. Not a good thing. Honda has really lost a loyal customer. It's a beautiful car, but performs horribly. If they replaced the transmission it would really make it a much better car. Seriously considering trading it and taking the huge financial hit. It's that bad! ******update***** After several trips to the dealer, things seem to be getting slightly worse. Nobody can figure out the cause behind these issues and don't seem to actually care. Honda has definitely lost a loyal customer.

I always love a honda, but.
Okay, I have an accord Sport 2013. This post is 2017 January. I have 73,000 miles and drive in Wisconsin. Exterrior is great. Still looks great. Clearcoat and paint are like new. No rust on any panels, hood or underneath. Replacing tires soon. Breaks have been grabby around 40,000. Highway miles Dailey. Drive 38 miles one way a day. Interior materials remain new looking. No creaks or squeaks. I have replaced nothing so far over the 4 years. One major annoyance, and my research shows it is a fault with the Honda engine is the Variable speed. After 30,000, they will begin to rattle at first start up. The oil drain from the compartment over a period of hours and before oil is injected back in the engine sounds like a big rattle for 1 second. It is hardly noticeable inside, but outside sounds poorly. HONDA will not replace or fix this engine fault because it is a nuisance and not a safety problem. The part is $70 dollars in materials and a 4 hour labor. With 90 dollars an hour that is about a $500 fix. Two other detractors are (1) front seats are stiff, material is solid, but are too short in the leg. (2) Bluetooth has much to be desired. Microphone is a problem. Other than that, a great car.

Wow
Just picked up an LX-S manual. It has every feature I want and nothing I don't. Incredible fit and finish, incredible refinement and sportiness, and incredible beauty. I can't believe that more people aren't buying these. After 20,000 miles, still great. No repairs, everything works great, and the driving feel and gas mileage keep getting better and better. Cruises quietly on the highway, goes around corners with authority, plenty of cargo space, comfortable seats for long drives, and surprisingly good audio. Not sure why anyone would want to spend more money on a car.

Great value and sporty
Just got the 2013 Accord sport white and loving it. Plenty of power, great mpg on first tank 28.6 some fooling wityh the shifters. I am looking forward to giving a better review in the coming months. Also Herb Chambers Seekonk Ma. is my dealer 6 cars in 6 years they do it right !!
2013 Accord Sport
One of the best cars ever made. However, mine shifts a little funny- maybe just a sticky gear situation. It's an automatic, so it's odd that when I put it into drive it thunks out of park. Relatively minor though. It really is a great car 9.8/10, only issue is the gears.
First Honda - pretty happy
Owned for 13 months and it has performed flawlessly. Great mpg: 40 on long road trips and lots of torque for a 4 cylinder. Lots of space, everything operates smoothly, feels expensive and gets compliments. Really easy to do maintenance (fluid changes etc). My only minor complaints: driving a CVT required some getting used to, radio power is weak, and driver seat length too short for my long legs. Update: CVT died at 91k miles, even with regular fluid changes. $5k dollar repair, thankfully covered under warranty...This will be my last CVT car! Update: 104k miles, no new issues. Update 120k miles no major issues.

Love My Wife's Car
I did quite a bit of research before we bought my wife's Accord. After looking at Toyotas, Subarus and Buicks we had decided on a Honda. I was sure the four cylinder would be fine for our needs, but after reading owner reviews we weren't sure about the CVT. Honda "don't build no junk" but they have had transmission problems in the past so we decided on the V6 with the six speed transmission. What a great choice, this thing is smooth, responsive and fast. We've had the car on a couple of trips from Indiana to Wyoming and it has always been quiet, comfortable and great to travel in. The only negatives I have found with this car is the navigation system isn't as user friendly as I was used to and I see that Honda has changed that on the newer models. Also, the bluethooth just won't pair to my android phone. It works great for my wife's iPhone, though. Overall great car. Update: Sold the car in March of 2019 still no problems and still a great car, we just wanted an all wheel drive vehicle for the snow here in Indiana.

Drop a Gear and Disappear
This car is great for what you pay. I have put about 115k miles on mine and it still feels and looks brand new. I have the 6 speed manual transmission, and it’s a blast. I can shift down to 3rd going about 65 and get around a car in about a second. I recommend if you have one of these to put sound proofing around it (in doors, dash, behind back seats, under carpet) it completely gets rid of the loud road noise. Car does great, i can get 37mpg in eco mode and shifting liberally. Only downside is the audio system. NO BASS, has great acoustics but absolutely no bass. Other than that, i love the car and would recommend to anyone!!
reliable, fuel efficient, responsive
reliable, fuel efficient, responsive; 32 mpg all around using eco mode 70k no issues, just back set of brakes and new tires CVT smooth , low rpm steering crisp handling good suspension tight but may feel a few bumps on wheel controls and backup camera great features heating and radio scan controls could use improvement synthetic 0/20 oil will needs one quart refill between 6 month changes trunk roomy, fold down back seat does not fold flat and has no split fold feature

Good car--outstanding MPG
I've owned an Accord from each of the last 3 generations, with some other makes mixed in. This car seems to address any of the "misses" from the previous generation. If you are a car person, the CVT takes some getting used to, but Honda has executed it well and it does its job. On my very first tank of gas, with mixed 2 lane and freeway driving, I got 37 mpg! Acceleration is very good, comparing with some 6 cylinders and surpassing most of the 4 cylinder turbos. Quality seems to be solid. Audio is nothing special, but is adequate. I am adding the wheels from the Sport model to my car for looks and handling, but most will be satisfied with the wheel/tire combo that Honda uses.
Longtime Honda Owner, Called to Return
I bought this 2013 Accord to replace my 2012 Civic that was destroyed in Hurricaine Sandy. The salesman steared me into this car and now I have Buyer's Remorse. I have owned many Honda's in my day, Prelude's and Accord's but this model is a looser. 3 weeks in I called to ask the dealer if I could exchange for a Civic and he said "Not without big fees" The problem is they have tried to make everything microprocessor based. You can't just spin a dial and tune the rabio anymore. I gone off the road, twice already just trying to search for a new station. This car is an overdesigned dog! Take it from a longtime Honda owner. Consider the features offered and if you really need them.
Nice car with some issues..
Bought car in April 2013, put 8000 miles on, mostly highway. Accord is comfortable and a solid ride. However: -- GPS system is terrible. My $200 Garmin has a superior interface. GPS estimates of "time to go" until arrival are WAY off and Honda America can't find the problem. At dealer today my Honda estimated 15 hours to drive from DC to Savannah. A new Accord on lot estimated 9 hours, which is correct. -- Car rides too low to ground resulting in ridiculous damage from moderate road issues. After driving on FDR expressway in NYC, where right lane has some bumps due to repair work, the Accord's fender liner fell off and right fog light enclosure fell off. $400 to repair!
1,200 miles & Won't Start. Back to the shop we go :(
Overall great design & performance for the Money. Very disappointed with the reliability, and Honda service. Honda has by far the absolutely WORST customer service, I have ever experienced. Currently my Accord is back in the shop for going on four days, no updates, calls and the vehicle is still not fixed. Finally got a loaner on the third day,and dealt with rude, under trained associates who gave me a filthy loaner car, with no update on my vehicles repairs, instead it was still sitting exactly where it was towed. Can't wait to get it back so I can go get my 2014 Lexus Is
awesome car
This car, the 2013 Honda Accord, EX-L V6 is awesome. I love the way it handles, the power that the V6 puts out and the way it handles and manuevers is awesome. I just can not say enough about how I love driving this car. I Feel in complete control when driving this car and it is an amazingly great feeling.
Poor gas mileage
I have ~1,000 miles on my new car and am getting 19/20 mpg in the city instead of the 27mpg advertised. Contacted Honda of America and they will not open a case until the first maintenance check which I assume will be around 7500 miles. Do I have a lemon or have others experienced this problem? I otherwise really like this car and have a been a loyal honda owner for more than 20 years.
Terrible ride - no suspension system - DO NOT BUY!
Traded in a 99 Chevy Malibu for this (leased) car, and I wish I had the Chevy back. Terribly rough ride, extremely shaky and loud over the tiniest bumps. Potholes literally shake you to the point where you think the car will far apart! Even the AC in the 99 Chevy was better. Any car I've ever driven or rode in has a smoother ride. It's because with the 2013 models they dropped the wishbone suspension to save money. I don't believe they tested the suspension, it's terrible, extremely unpleasant. Not what you'd expect from a 'high-end' Accord. Also, the car has started making shaking noises when I hit bumps, it's pretty disturbing for a new car. AVOID THIS CAR !
Nice upgrade!
Owned a 2009 Camry and was extremely happy with the car. Drove it 200 miles to and from work daily without a flaw. Car had 178,000 miles and drove like new. Decided to trade in search of better MPG. considered the 2013 Nissan Altima, Ford fusion & Toyota Camry. Glanced at the Kia and Hyundai but just can't get passed the silly looking logo on both korean vehicles. Bottom line, the honda Accord comes with more standard features than all mentioned for about the same price. The Accord handles a bit sportier than the Camry and is not as plush but way out performs the Camry in handling. Only small complaint is a bit of wind and road noise which was similar to the Camry a coworker of mine ownes.
small oil leak from CVT transmission seal to engine
I purcahased a new accord sport July 15 2013 with 3 miles on it. At my first oil change at 6500 miles, I noticed a small oil leak (1 drop) where the CVT bolts to the engine. I took it to the dealer for a warranty repair.Possible torque convert seal issue. I will post more details when the repair is finished. I am dissapointed about Honda transmission problems this early in the game. I will say the dealer was quick (no appointment) and offered a shuttle to work. If all goes well and the problem does not return all is good. sound like many people will face this same trouble. Fix it before the 30,000 miles waranty expires.
Still Not As Quiet As Honda Claims
Interior and features are much improved over my 2003 Accord EX-L V-6. However, there was no signifigant improvement in the handling or ride of this car over my 2003 and it was very noisy on rough pavement and the suspension let me hear every imperfection in the road.

My First Honda
I have to say that my first time dealing with Honda was a real pleasant surprise. I purchased the Honda Accord because I needed a nice sedan after having a great Hyundai SUV that I worked to death. The quality and nice amenities that came with this basic model is amazing. No one else could give me the same bennies Honda could or the same quality after checking out the competition. I also wanted something that depreciated less than the other brands. Only Toyota Camry was equal in the respect and after being in the Camry, I saw that the interior was inferior and the design a bit dated. The 2013 Honda is fantastic and turns heads everywhere I go. As pretty as a BMW
Steering Wheel Noise & Break Noise
I purchased my 2013 Honda Accord V6 used with 10k miles on the odometer; I now have 12k after a month of driving. IÂve noticed the ticking noise in the steering wheel and a metal on metal scraping noise coming from the brakes. IÂm taking it to the dealer tomorrow for their diagnostics of the problem. The exterior redesigned is one of major reasons I settled on the Honda not to mention its track record for reliability. The DNA of this car is Honda, IÂm positive the engineers were not shooting for a 4dr NSX when they redesigned the Accord. With that being said, what I was looking for was a middle of the road transporter with decent gas mileage.
The CVT Transmission Is Garbage
The car is typical decent Honda, except for 2 things: 1. The radio and speakers are garbage and 2. The CVT transmission is pure garbage. It feels like a little man is in my transmission manually shifting my car for me, but he doesn't know how to shift properly. The CVT transmission violently jerks all the time. Honda really dropped the ball on the CVT transmission.

Honda Accord EX-L V6
This is a great looking car, full of performance, and new technology. I haven't owned the car a full month yet, but here is my take on it. The CVT transmission takes a bit of getting used to, if you haven't owned one. Would like it better if Honda would make it a rear wheel drive. The V6 is great, if you like to get up and go, but the 4-banger is fine for most of us, I have owned 4 previous Honda's, a Prelude, Civic, and two Accord Sedans. Honda makes a dependable car, good gas millage, performance, low road noise, and a good looking car, that plenty of other car companies have tried to copy. I'm still getting used to the electronics, a good bit more advanced than previous cars I have owned. I have figured out most everything I need to know, but being close to the age of sixty, I still prefer things simple. I'm pretty sure this car is made for younger drivers, but I'm still young at heart, and really enjoy driving, and owning this coupe.

Reliable and holds value but getting boring Honda
With sport package you will feel and hear every imperfection in the road. All purpose tires are not good enough for snow greater than 3-4” with this car, get dedicated 16” steel rims (taller sidewalls) and Bridgestone Blizzaks. Most American mid/full size cars are quieter and more luxurious at this point. But you buy this car for reliability, low and predictable costs to operate and longevity.

New 2013 Honda Accord Sport Sedan
There's a few minor issues I have with this new car. The driver's side rear-view mirror has this silly feature where it bends the image. So when you're on the highway and a car is coming up in the lane to your left, it appears that they're turning into you. The first time I saw this I swerved and nearly drove off the road. The other thing is that the glove compartment door is very shiny. It reflects the light from the window, so you see constant flashing out of your right eye. Also your head is too close to A-pillar. Another thing, the newly designed car went way up in price. There are many comparable models such as the Kia Optima and the Hyundai Sonatoa, or even a Civic is a pretty nice ca
Buyer beware
Buyer beware. Brand new 2013 Accord EX-L comes with an instrument panel that would make Star Trek fans drool but unless you get the 6 cylinder. IT CAN'T OPEN A GARAGE DOOR. Who thought that was intelligent design.
Upgraded to a 2013 Accord from a 2012 Civic
Still love my Accord. One note is Honda did not quite have the CTV transmission software figured out in 2013, Struggled with them until software was updated twice and part replaced -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Wow, what a great car the new Accord is. I was so dissatisfied with the cheap feeling 2012 Civic I very quickly traded it in. Honda blew it with that car, but I'm happy to say I'm pleased with Honda again. The Accord is comfortable, get close to Civic gas mileage. Get the Accord by all means.

Horrible milage
The car itself is a fun car to drive. Looks and drives great. My complaint is that it come nowhere close to the mileage they claim in the city, at least not yet. Honda claims you should receive about 20 MPG in the city. These calculations are also based without the Econ button you can use which also, is supposed to increase mileage. My first tank of gas I got around 13.4 MPG, this was mostly city driving. Of coarse I called the dealer and I was told the car needed to be broke in, the computer needed to learn my driving habits. This would take 5000 miles for the car to be broke in and learn my habits. so far, not even close to claimed mileage. Look forward to buying another Infiniti.
Think twice before buying this vehicle
For all the good Honda has had over the years, they really messed up with this car. And I am a 2nd time Honda owner. The 2003 Accord I had was the best car I ever had and that is why I decided to go with another one. The CVT transmission is lousy. The car buckles and stutters, especially on acceleration. Have had it back to the dealer and even had Honda look at it but they insist nothing is wrong. They even said that the stutter is part of the CVT technology. These transmissions are put in for fuel economy. But at the expense of this kind of performance is un acceptable. All I can say is Honda will have a very difficult time selling these vehicles if this continues.
No longer has pass-thru
Just bought my 4th Accord today. Surprised to find out it doesn't have the "ski pass-thru" in the rear seat. Or as it's known in my family, the "hockey stick pas-thru". Too bad Honda chose to "de-content" the current Honda and yet thay pay the NHL a marketing fee to be the "official car of the NHL". What a crock.
Poor Navigation system
This is worse than my 6 year old COSTCO Garmain GPS which I use in my new 2013 Honda Accord. It shows grey streets BUT without names of streets. Go figure, a map without street names? Rest Areas are not identified Exit numbers on Interstate highways are not identified until you exit.

Not start from first month of new
The car is not starting from the time of work, the dealer is trying to convinc me of nothing happend to the car becose start right after the tech take a look in it. After coming back home next day stop running in the gas station, do not start again, after call the dealer in north Florida where I bot the car for help, send the car to three different dealer ships, service from all the dealers was with out help and the car continous having the same problem on a year time owner the car, Lemon, Lemon.
Honda accord 2015 ex
Car is not good. I regret buying it. It gets 18mpg per city and 33 on highway. The seats are not comfortable. Only bought the car because it said It got 27 mpg in city. Cvt Transmission is not good at all it struggles at low speeds and high speeds if you let go of the pedal speed drops down exponentially. Econ mode doesn't do anything. Back up camera is great but there is only one angle not multi angle. I have 3k miles on it. I am stuck with the care for at least 5 years. I should of got Chevy Malibu 2015 or Toyota 2015 hybrid.
Very Impressed!
I leased an EXL and the car has exceeded my expectations. Having driven a 2007 Infiniti G35X the last 6 years I was prepared for a letdown. Although the Accord is no sports sedan it fulfills my current needs. It is very comfortable, roomy, stylish and gets outstanding gas mileage. The CVT performs flawlessly and although I was originally hesitant about it I now prefer it to the traditional 5 speed auto in the previous Accords. My only complaint is the sound quality of the stereo. It's mediocre at best. Update: on November 1, 2013 we were returning to Ohio from a vacation in Florida. Traffic was stopped due to a disabled vehicle in the middle lane on I 65N in Nashville Tn. I had to come to a complete stop as the disabled vehicle was in my lane. Cars and trucks were traveling at 65-75mph. Within 15 sec. of stopping we were rear ended by a Chevy Astro Van towing an enclosed trailer. We were driven into the disabled vehicle with such impact it knocked it forward 50 yards. To my amazement the Accord's cabin remained completely intact although the front and rear end of the car were unrecognizable. My wife was in the front seat with no visible injuries and my 90 yr. old mother in law was sitting behind me in the back seat and her injuries were slight. A piece of interior trim on the C pillar broke off and hit the back of her head, leaving an egg sized contusion. She had a few cuts from the rear window shattering. All three of us suffered from minor whiplash but that is it. The officer on the scene and one ambulance attendant both remarked about how safe the Accord kept us. GREAT JOB HONDA!!!!! I can't say enough about how grateful we are to have walked away from such a horrific accident. Honda's ACE body structure is no sales pitch, it's a well engineered safety passenger compartment.

A new car four years old with 16786 miles
A new car that smells new, plastic and leather. Never in the weather snow rain no pets no kids and no one every in the back seat. Keep in the garage all its life. Almost like getting a new car for slightly over half price. Still have original window sticker, 3 sets of remote keys, and many other extras most owners would not have. You wil lplrobably not find a better 4 year old car.

Still Love It
Just passed 3 years, which is usually the point I move on to something new. Not this time. I love this car. It has everything I need. The passenger side camera is something I will never do without again. Excellent visibilty. The voice system takes some getting used to, but it dies everything I need and more. Only complaint is that the front passenger seat seems a little low and isn't great for long trips.

Dangerous
Honda should have never been allowed to sell a car with a CVT like this one has. There's a rubber band effect. When pushing on the accelerator the motor goes into idle then takes off like a jet after slowing down. Honda is all too aware of this and the defective airbags but refuses to have a recall. Greed has overtaken the corporation, like it did GM, Toyota, and Ford. My guess is that there will be deaths before a recall might be forced. Look elsewhere.
Honda 2013 Accord LX
I bought the car only three weeks ago. I don't drive to much because I have a short commute. So far I don't have any complains about this Honda. This is my first Honda. I drove a Mazda Millenia before for 13 years. I have a percepcion that Honda is more reliable and hold its value better than Mazda and many others cars .
Buyer's remorse for me too
I traded in a 2008 Accord sedan for this 2013 Accord Coupe, EX with leather and nav. I wish I hadn't done that. Why? The primary reason is the Coupe's ride quality. My 2008 Accord was smooth as silk. The new car is best described as uncomfortably harsh. You feel every bump. I could see this being an exhausting ride, especially for a long drive. Maybe new tires will help? I probably won't know for 3 years or so, when it's time to get new tires. Assuming I can deal with riding in a car with no suspension for 3 years. I suggest anyone considering a new Accord take the car for a lengthy test drive over a variety of street surfaces.
WOW! Great car
I've owned Hondas since 1983, i'm amazed how each new design is suprior to the others. This car is truly amazing in value. The price increase in minimal considering the new tech features & safety. It's got better performance, smoother ride, quieter & more comfortable. Anyone looking at a model in this class needs to drive one. Compare it to the other's in it's class. You will be amazed! Buy it.
White Honda accord sport
Just got my first brand new Honda and had a great salesman (M.R.) who worked with me to get a good deal. Very friendly staff!!!! Will definitely recommend getting a Honda at commonwealth
First Impressions / Last impressions
It's a Honda. And despite the slap of the 2011 and 2012 models, the 2013 Honda is back. My mom had a Honda 600, a CVCC Civic, and a CRX. Dad had an '87 Accord. We have an Odyssey, a Civic, and now we have a brand new Accord. I'm not married to Honda. We looked at Toyota, Mazda, Subaru, and Volkswagen. Our new Accord is not even through its first tank of gas. My first impressions: Highway, 38MPG with the "Econ" button pushed. 26MPG in town. We have the EX-L 4-cyl with all the nice gadgets. The rear-view camera with three modes is great. The lane departure and distance warning are pretty weak and unreliable. Fit & Finish are excellent. Power is great. Ride is a little firm Follow-up Impressions: Driving down the central valley from Davis, CA to Mission Viejo, CA, I got 42.5 MPG for the first 300 miles. Getting into hillier country at the end reduced the overall 450 mile average to 40 MPG. I still made the entire drive with a little less than a quarter of a tank of gas left. Last Impressions: My Accord may have saved my life. It certainly saved me from injury. I was stopped, and got rear-ended by a Hyundai sedan going about 40 MPH. At least it push my Accord about 40 feet, and accordioned the rear end right up to the back of the passenger seat. The car was totaled after only two years of ownership. I walked away with a skinned knee.

2013 Honda Accord - my 1st Honda
Yes, my 1st Honda so expectation was high. I have gotten a Nissan Frontier & Sentra before and had owned and driven countless others. Before getting this I was debating between Toyota Camry & Hyundai Sonata; didn't test drive and went straight to Honda instead. Good = Roomy & comfy w/ nice design. ect.. Bad = Wind noise! Cold reverse doesn't catch so fast. Black fabric is a lint magnet. Done.

Nice, but Horrible Stereo !
Overall I'm happy with this car. Looks nice, fun to drive, good gas mileage and comfortable. My only beef with this car is the poor quality stereo system. During the test drive my focus was on so many things that I that I really didn't check the sound system out like I should have. I took it for granted that Honda put in a good stereo like on my last Honda. They didn't! Honda, if you read these reviews, please come up with a fix for this.
Much Better Than Expected
After a couple months, 5,000 miles and a road trip here's my take on the Accord. Fuel economy is outstanding, equal or better than the EPA estimates. 36+ on the highway typically cruising 5+ over the posted speed limit. 33 mpg combined since purchase but admittedly much of it was hwy miles. The car is designed around fuel efficiency. The Ambient meter is a brilliant but simple reminder giving instant feedback of your driving habits. The cabin is much quieter and improved over previous models. The CVT transmission takes a little getting used to but not a big deal. In fact the more I drive it the more I appreciate it's smoothness. The stereo reads the media quickly and sounds good.
