Great car if you get a 6speed

2013 Honda Accord Touring V-6 4dr Sedan (3.5L 6cyl 6A)

The 2013 Accord is a great car for the money. Lots of interior room for a family of 4. The ride is great and the steering is very responsive. The suspension is likely more stiff than a malibu, impala, or other similar American cars although it feels very tight and performance oriented. I have yet to experience any problems after 2 months of driving. I purchased mine with 19k miles. I would highly recommend getting the manual transmission as the CVT (in any car not just honda), is quite terrible. Many auto manufacturers have jumped on this CVT bandwagon to achieve exceptional mpg at the sacrifice of reliability, performance, and ride experience. I would not recommend a CVT in any car. They simply do not last, require costly maintenance when problematic, and have a horrible rubber band effect during swift acceleration or deceleration. The 6 speed in the 2013 Accord shifts like butter, and really brings out all 181 horses. Although it's not much, this car revs very high and is great for highway/city driving (I've gotten 36.5 mpg highway and average 27 in town with conservative driving 3k rpm shifts). Take this from someone who has had a zr1, 99 m3, multiple subaru WRXs, IS300 and 350, gs400 etc. The car is great. It's really a great car if you get the 6speed. If you can only find an auto, buy something else that offers a standard 5speed/6speed auto. Avoid any cars with CVT transmissions no matter who the auto manufacturer.

I just got my honda accord sport in blue today. I waited for a month and a half to get the manual and it was worth the wait. I drove the CVT first and i was ready to take a nap.It sucks! Felt soooo slow! The 6 speed gearbox was tricky from first two second gear but i got used to it. Short throws and fun. Not a afterthought. And feels way quicker than the garbage CVT and better sound too from the dual exhaust. Very rich black interior. I gave 3 out of 5 for reliability because of first day purchase.

2013 Honda Accord LX (CVT Automatic)

My 2013 Honda Accord w/CVT has serious issues. Over the last three months I started experiencing abnormal hesitation while trying to accelerate from a standstill position. I have had to depress the accelerator all the way down to board for several seconds (5 - 8 seconds) before the car would jerkingly jump into proper gear to move forward. The dealership changed a kit on it at least twice which initially seemed to have corrected the problem but after about a week or two the problem is recurring. Then on June 14 an addt'l problem occurred where the car started a quick forward jerking motion at 40mph. Honda knows the issue but keeps denying the problem exists as they cannot replicate.

If you still think that a fun-to-drive car and a family sedan never go together, think again. Go to your Honda dealer, test drive this V6 accord, use the S on the gear shift, and enjoy !!!! Build is tight, looks are great inside and outside, the technology is a little confusing, but great once you figure it out, and overall, is a great car, Simply put, you CAN NOT go wrong with this car, it drives great, it looks great, and as soon as you drive it, you know you will have a long lasting car.

I purchased a white accord sport because I absolutely love the color. I was on the fence on whether to get a 4cyl. vs. 6cyl accord. I almost purchased V6 coupe but felt it wasn't practical for a family. I have owned 04' and 07' V6 accords and was satisfied overall with the quality and performance of them. The quality, appearance and handling of the 2013 sport is far superior to them all. The power isn't quite as pronounced as the V6 but still pulls well. The CVT transmission is the smoothest and quickest one that I have driven out of all competitor 4 cyl. sedans. Fuel mileage has been exceptional (over 30 mpg) and the factory stereo is excellent with controls that are simple to use.

This is my 6th Honda Accord (79/80/84/91/05/13), and I've liked every one. BUT this one is in a completely different category. Best car I've ever had - and in many ways. The Sport model was made for "ME" - large inside, handles great, 6 speed manual transmission is great, and very zippy and fun to drive. The 18" wheels really make a difference, as does whatever they did to stiffen the front suspension of the car. Hit 100 MPH driving uphill at 11,000 feet above sea level (5th gear).

After 9,000 miles and 11 months of ownership, here are my comments. DO NOT get the remote starter. It is a royal PIA on the EX model with push button start. When you remote start the vehicle and get in it, the engine automatically stalls and you have to restart the engine. For every remote start you have to restart the engine. Gee Honda, great for your starter and battery. Real poor design. I would remove the remote start system but it would cost ME money to do it! Also, you cannot exit a running vehicle and try to lock it to run an errand, it won't let you! The stereo if horrible. The AM is twice as loud as the FM. Very poor quality stereo.

Good Car but lousy stereo and too much wind noise

I like driving this car but its the small things that tend to make a difference . First the so called " premium" sound system sounds Horiible . I don't know how you can mess up 7 speakers with a sub but honda has . To make matters worse the active noise cancelation feature makes it near impossible to upgrade . The wind noise coming from the driver and passenger windows . It literally sounds like your window is open a crack. Honda has a TSB about the wind issues but the dealers are cluless on how to fix it. Internet forums have pages upon pages of people complaining about these same issues . Do your research and drive your car at freeway speeds and bring your fav cd with you

I just ticked over 17000 miles with my 2013 Accord EX-L V6 (with Nav). Other than the initial connectivity problems with the audio head unit they have been trouble-free. The car performs well and is capable of some excellent fuel economy. I have had highway drives of over 42MPG which is extraordinary given the 278hp V6. The 6AT trans is smooth and responsive. It has excellent fit and finish, a smooth and quiet but busy ride, reasonable handling given LRR tires, excellent interior and trunk room. The interior remains tight and rattle free.

I was looking for a low price quality sedan and I certainly got it with the Accord! I bought it new mid-2013 and now have over 62,000 miles on it. The car handles well and is comfortable. If I were to post a negative, it would be the road noise, however, it's not all that bad.

'13 Honda Accord Sport (6MT)

I'll give the skinny to anyone seriously interested in buying the Accord Sport (MT). Buy it. I drove an Altima and the '14 Mazda 6 and neither one compared. I did not get a chance to drive the CVT version of the Honda Sport (never considered getting a CVT auto), so I cannot honestly review that car. But the 6 speed manual rocks. Short throws, very light clutch, responsive throttle. A pure joy to drive. If you're looking for an affordable, fun car, you simply can't go wrong with the Accord Sport. I'm partial to driving manuals, and am amazed at what a great deal it is. I got mine for $21,800, with a nice dealer installed package thrown in.

This was my first Honda and I later found out that it is not uncommon for people to say that the seat seems hard and the ride a bit stiffer and harder than some other cars. I wanted a comfortable car that is economical and fun to drive. This is a great car, that is fun to drive, and it has good electronics, but it isn't comfortable (to me) and the road and wind noise were more than I thought was acceptable for such a nice, new car. So after five months and 8900 miles, I sold it and bought a Ford Fusion Hybrid, which I really like a lot more.

I went from a Infiniti M35 to the 2013 Accord Coupe. I love the design of the car and it's a blast to drive. My complaint is this. I'm not getting anywhere near the mileage they claim to get in the city. I've even drove like a little ole man from Pasadena just to see if I could get it to improve. I'm getting like 13 or 14 MPG in the city, WITH THE ECON BUTTON ON. I've called the dealer and they claim that the car needs to break in, have at least 5000 miles on it. Well I sure hope this is true because as it stands now, I'd have kept my Infiniti and am counting the months until I can drop this Honda off at the dealer and go get another Infiniti. I ended up getting out of the lease when I was able to to a great price on an Infiniti and not lose to much. For me it was worth losing a few dollars and having a car I loved than continuing to pay for a car that I hated more and more with each passing day. I'm sure it's a great car for some, just wasn't the car for me. The car wouldn't keep the presets for the Phone or Stereo, I'd have to reset them just about every time I got in the car. If the car was parked outside in the sun for too long, the "Camera" located behind or by the rear view mirror would heat up and give some funky warning that would take several minutes to turn off.

My 2013 Honda Accord EX-L 4 cyl was purchased from Dick Brooks Honda, Greer SC. It is the second Honda I have purchased from their internet agent, Sharon G. and her assistant Matthew S.. My previous car was a 2013 Subaru Outback. I went back to Honda for comfort and miles per gallon. I have read other reviews appearing here with complaints. There is no doubt in my opinion that their owners are not driving the same car which I am driving. The 2013 Accord is absolutely outstanding in every manner possible. I am an 84 year old retired US Army officer and I have owned many cars in the past from other manufacturers. This Honda Accord is state-of-the art. Drive it - you'll buy it!

We bought this car as a safe, reliable and long lasting vehicle for my wife. The crash test ratings are beyond approach and Honda reliability and long lasting cars are as well known as the brand we left - Subaru. Given we have driven nothing but Subaru's for years, I can't be picky about the ride, noise or anything. To us, this car is smooth, quiet and far more confortable than any car we have had for a long time. The CVT is fine for us too (and drove better than others we tested). Yes it hiccups now and again, but so what? The electronics are a little funky, but let's face it. Nobody is getting this right and most do a poor job, even many luxury brands.

Oil pump, timing chain failure at 15,200 miles

2013 Accord LX, CVT Auto, 15,200 miles (bought new). A few seconds after starting the car, it made a horrendous grinding, screeching sound, with every indicator light on. I did not drive it, and it was towed to a dealer. It needed a new oil pump, timing chain, sprocket, etc - all covered under warranty. The dealer had no idea why the failure occured, and had never seen this on a Honda with so few miles. It took a week to repair, which was a major inconvenience. The car ran fine with no problems at all prior to this incident. I am sorry I purchased a Honda with so many other choices out there. I was sold on their legandary reliability.

Wow. And I was getting ready to give up on Honda. Purchased my first Honda in 1985 and they were awesome cars until about 10 years ago; I noticed reliability and fit and finish deteriorating badly. I saw the revamped 2013 Accord and read the reviews. I decided to try one more time...MUCH improved but still a ways to go. The interior fit and finish is reminiscent of older days quality-excellent. There is still a bit of cheap hard plastic though. The CVT does not bother me at all and I find the 38mpg I have been getting amazing (ECO on). Road noise is still evident but not as bad as before. Comfortable ride as I commute 100 miles daily. Stereo so-so. Curious to see if reliability improves.

I put 1100 miles on this great car. It is so easy to drive, with all around visability for safety. Nice inside, with comfortable seats. But it rides like a buckboard. Over 50 MPH, it absorbs bumps well. Around where I live, most of the regular roads are at 45 MPH or less, and all full of patches and repaired cracks. Shock waves are transmitted sharply, and actually make me sea sick. So, I have to drive only on selected routes. The tire pressure is at spec. No rattles, solidly built with quality inisde and out.

Overall this car provides what you might expect. It's a little higher priced for what you get when compared to competitor offerings, but I wanted the reliability of a Honda. What I did not expect was the horribly designed user interface of the navigation system. Test drives and showroom floor interactions do not allow enough usage to fully grasp the awkward layout and slowness of the system. Not only that, Honda confirmed today that is not and will not be possible to turn off the 'beep' that occurs every time you click. Huh? This is a software change (deficiency). You've got to be kidding me. Using the system is akin to conditioned response from electric shock. You learn to avoid it.

I fell in love with Honda Accord after I seeing someone driving a Black 2013 EX-L earlier this year. I previously only owned Toyota's (2 Camry's and a RAV 4) but decided to give the Accord. I decided to go for the EX-L w/NAV and it was a great decision. The cloth in the EX looks really cheap, but the leather in the EX-L is luxurious and feels great. This is my first car with a NAV system so the features takes some getting used to. The gas mileage is much better than any of my Toyota's, but I'm not sure that the ECON button is saving me any money on gas. I love that there is enough space in the back seat for my kids which is a definite plus, and the trunk is huge for groceries and shopping.

Honda really lost their way when they came out with the 9th gen. Accord. Expecting this to be the best Accord ever, it turned out to be one of the worst. They got rid of the classic K series engine and replaced it with their new "Earth Dreams" engine. The new engine is missing that classic, zippy, rev-happy Honda nature, and now it just feels like a typical plain jane Nissan or Toyota engine. The new CVT is awful. If this is the "best" CVT on the market, I am terrified for what other CVTs must be like to drive. You plant your foot on the throttle and it takes the transmission 5-10 seconds to catch up. When it finally does catch up it gives you too much power when you don't want it. The transmission also hesitates and jerks violently in certain driving situations. The engine is very slow to rev unlike Honda engines of yesteryear and they just transformed it from a Honda into...something else. Ride quality is unnecessarily stiff and passengers have told me that they cannot stand riding in my car because every bump in the road transmits into the cabin and it gives passengers a headache. I'm also disappointed in the handling and the highway performance. Around town, the car feels big and heavy. On the highway it feels somewhat lumbering, the electric steering feels too disconnected from the front wheels to accurately gauge curves in the roadway. Curves on the highway feel somewhat scary in the Accord. You enter a slight curve at 65 mph and the body starts gradually leaning too much towards one direction making it feel like you're about to lose control over the vehicle. The brakes are quite non-linear and the car has a stubbornness to it while driving. Overall, the driving experience is not memorable in any sense of the word. It drives, but unlike Accords of the past, it drives lacking all remnants of character and personality. I always thought that the Accord was the one family sedan that did things differently, but with this new one that is no longer the case. They made it feel like everything else in the class. The only options that stand out anymore are the Legacy, Fusion, and Sonata. Very disappointing vehicle. Honda lost their way.

Love the cvt. The black color is expensive looking. Attracts a crowd everywhere it is parked. I am 6'3" and have tons of leg room and head room. Stereo sucks when set on radio, but sounds good through Aux. or blu. It is just 4 speakers and reminds me of the sound of my car stereos from the 80's and 90's. It is fast and handles well. Ride is sporty firm, but still very comfortable. The goodyear tires are OK, but would rather have had the Michelins. The interior lighting is lacking and looks kind of cheap when the dome light is lit. Headlights are bright. Arm rest is perfect. Steering wheel is good size and easy to grip. I am thinking about buying a another one to drive i like it that much.

Once, only Sunroof partway, another time the windows of only one side of the car.He went to his dealer, and they blew him off every time, telling him it is his doing.None of us were in our car when this happened. I purchased the 2013 Accord Sport in black last week. I chose the Sport model because I believe it looks nicer than a LX, and of course is roughly $2000 less than an EX. The base Accord comes with everything you need. Like many here, I have owned tons of makes including, SAAB, Audi, Honda, Buick, Chevy etc. The fit and finish on this Accord is really superb. I would not say it is in line with an Audi, but very close and much better than others. Each time I drive the car I find more and more features and driving the car is more fun each time as well. Also note: I actually like the looks of the 2013 Subaru Legacy Sport, but the Accord won on value. Also drove the Fusion and Altima.

This is terrible because most people purchase their music online so you do not have the original disc. The internal hard drive becomes useless. Navigation, when you set a destination and start driving the only way to change it is by voice command, which almost never understands what you say. You have to stop the car in order to change it manually. Imagine being on the highway and you have to get off just to set your destination. Applies to the Touring Model, FULLY loaded: The bottom line is this: The value is nearly impossible to beat. Although the car ain't no Audi, if it had hydraulic steering, it could pass as an Acura TL hands-down and be priced as a $42,000 car--no joke. In fact, technologically, its interior is far superior to the Acura. If you are looking for a near-luxury, sporty family sedan under $35,000 that uses regular gasoline, then this is likely your car. You just have to make sure you can compromise with the very un-Honda-like electric steering. It's worth noting that the Altima is a serious competitor here, but the lack of rear-headroom and the lame sound system ruined it for me.

Update: sold the car to Carfax for $9600 in July 2018. Car deprecated almost $19000 in five years, WOW. Talk about not holding it’s value. Sad. Less that 80k miles. PROS: The car has gaotten better gas mileage than listed. We sometimes can get between 40-45 on the highway, and 25-30 around town. The car still looks sharp despite the issues with the paint, I'll discuss that later. Maintenance is real easy, i.e. changing fluids, no repairs other than just had to buy a new battery. The original tires (Goodyear Assurance) are some of the best OEM's ever. I still have them on at 54,000 miles and they look like I can get another 10K. CONS: The 3-4 things that bother us about the car is: 1) The engine from day two of ownership hums. Not too bad, but almost like there is a hose disconnected. I've looked under the hood and it looks like there's an air intake cover missing, or not there by design. 2) The salesman went on and on about the paint job, how it would never fade, etc. Well, it easily scratches and does not do well with car repair waxes or solvents. In fact, these products begin to smear the area around the scratch, making it even more noticeable. We have so many dings and chips on the paint, that I doubt I'll ever be able to get anywhere near a "GOOD" rating on trade. Honda seems to always have issues with their paint, and this in just another one. 3) An issue with the A/C odor. No matter how many times we replace the cabin filter, the A/C stinks for a few seconds when we start the car. 4) Resale value. We purchased the car in June of 2013, and now in July 2017, the car is worth half of what we paid new, and that was having them come off $2500 from the sticker. DON'T BUY A HONDA!!!!

I purchased my Accord Coupe in May and took it in June on a 3000 mile road trip. I could not have been more pleased with the performance. The sound system does have a little quirkiness but definitely not a deal breaker. It has a comfortable ride but not luxurious. After a few hours on the road the seat seems hard, but my back was perfect. The styling is sporty and I believe the Honda reputation helped me choose this car over others I had considered. I have owned two other Hondas previously, a '92 Accord and an '01 CRV. Gas mileage is just as was presented on the sticker. With air conditioner running I get around 32-34 on the highway and 23-24 in town.

I absolutely love my 2013 Honda Accord Sport. Super roomy, awesome body design, and it has the get up and go you need despite it being a larger sedan. Not a huge huge vehicle but it isn’t small either. Only one complaint I have is that how the CVT transmission sometimes jerks and/or is sometimes sluggish in city traffic. Other than that the vehicle is super nice, super reliable and dependable! Mine has 112k on it and has only needed regular maintenance items. This is my third accord I’ve owned and it’s honestly safe to say I’ll stick with Honda for a good while!

I went from an Acura TL to the new 2013 Honda Accord XLE with Nav and V6 engine. First, the positives, very quiet ride, excellent suspension – barely feel the road or potholes, and the V6 gives excellent torque. I enjoy the blind spot passenger camera as well. Gas mileage and regular gas make it economical as well. Interior: USB plug and back up lighter socket were nice features. Cup holder in back arm rest also nicely placed along with pockets in doors that will hold water bottles. Head rests bend forward at such a severe angle it is impossible for a woman to have a barrette, or ponytail in her hair without having to bend one’s neck at an awkward angle. Fold down seats – usually requires two people, one to pull the lever in the trunk while someone else tugs on the seat. My latch had to be replaced while under warrenty and is still hit or miss if it works. Interior design - Very spacious in front and back, seems like a much larger car than it is based on design. For a top model, I was surprised to find interior styling not up to par - carpeting unfinished outside of sight line, plastic trimming easily dents and scratches, lots of nooks and crannies for dust and crumbs to accumulate so it is much more difficult to keep clean. Electrical system/Nav Pad in the dash: it malfunctioned in the first year I owned the car. After several “repairs” that did not work, they had to replace the whole system. Even so, it is very slow, not user friendly at all, and overall one of the worst in-dash nav systems I have ever used. Second, the radio does not display artist or song on the Dash. Lastly, the phone system is not compatible with IPhones, so you can’t access many of the features (text “I’m driving” auto message) if you have an IPhone. Entry/Keyless: Nice feature is you don’t have to dig out your keys, just have them in your pocket and touch the door and it unlocks. Also, touch button start also does not require fishing for keys. It is impossible to lock keys in car or truck, it simply won’t allow you to and beeps and pops the trunk if you accidentally try to shut it with keys in a bag in the trunk. There is a battery operated key fob that controls the entire push button start system. If you fob dies or malfunctions (as mine did in the first 18 months) your entire car will not work. There is no key or back up for this. So, be sure your key fob battery is in working order or you are stuck. Battery Died within the first two years of owning the car. Engine/Other: In less than 3 yrs 60K I have had to replace the starter as well which I have luckily never had to replace in any car I have owned. For this to go so soon was disappointing. Lastly, as many have indicated, it has a very rough “down shift” and you can feel and hear the car straining to go into a lower gear. I’m not sure if this will harm the car long term, but is awkward when you feel it. Overall, it has been a good, solid, reliable car. I just wanted to list all the manufacturing quirks that I would want to know about prior to purchasing this vehicle.

I absolutely LOVE this car! The ride is super smooth, the interior is beautifully laid out with quality materials. The exterior is eye catching. The only faults that I have found so far is that occasionally the CVT does not feel as though it engages properly. It just feels a little sluggish. Then other times, the car feels like it accelerates with ease. Also, the entertainment operating system has been glitchy...not unbearable, but glitchy. But overall, this is an INCREDIBLE vehicle! I LOVE IT!

Picked up my ex-l on Monday, everything was as good as Honda advertized, EXCEPT for the instrument display daytime brightness.the dealer salesman and their tech played around for an hour or more trying to adjust it.They called Honda corporate tech support who says it is set at the factory and can not be adjusted any better.i'm not a happy camper spending a lot of money on a faulty display.I called the Honda customer service who took note of the problem. I think I'll have to keep after them to see if anything can be improved.

At 77,000 miles, I am on my 2nd alternator and third starter. From the day I bought the car, I have had to keep close watch on the oil level. I use about a quart between oil changes. Now for the good. I love driving the 6-speed manual. A curvy, hilly road between cities is actually fun to drive. It is a great road car, and in town, it goes quickly where I point it. Honda built its reputation on reliability. It seems they have given up control over parts, both original equipment and replacements, to some short-sighted corporate changes. Too bad. Not the Hondas we enjoyed in the 70's - 80's, folks.

This is a solid sporty reliable peppy 4 cylinder - always have enjoyed owning and driving this good looking car. In fact, I am buying another Honda Accord - a last minute purchase of a 2017 (Nov. 2017) since I found out they have eliminated some of my favorite features in the 2018. Whoever buys this 2013 will be happy with it I am sure!

Overall, I am very pleased with the Accord, 2.4l, 6 MT. Being a 6 speed, there wasn't much for added bells and whistles. overall, it was what you see is what you get. That is fine. I bought it as a back and forth to work car and conveniently live 2 miles from work. The handling is great, road noise is minimal, but the ride can be a little rough, especially on GA, I-16 with their washboard highway (as an example.) I purchased the Accord new in 2013, so here we are 5 years later and just under 37K miles. I feel the build is solid. It doesn't rattle inside, like a lot of plastic interiors do when they loosened up over the years. I do not regret my purchase. Now to the fluke part. As I said, the car is 5 years old and just under 37K miles. Last week, while coming home on I-95, the battery light came on and within minutes the car was on the side of the road, dead as a door nail. The 51R battery Honda uses is a joke and I'm considering changing the battery box over to support the Accord V6 battery size. Frankly, I was lucky to get 5 full years out of that battery, considering my commute is so short to work. At first, I thought it was just the battery, so I bought one, drove to the car and installed it. After starting the car I realized the lights were all still on, mainly the Check Charging System message on the data screen. I hopped out and looked. Low and behold, the water pump seized up, breaking the serpentine belt and killing the battery. I was understanding when I thought is was the battery, but a water pump. What water pump seizes in 5 years and 37K miles? Well, after a day of trying to rent tow equipment, I got it home and fixed it in my driveway. A water pump, belt and new coolant came at a whopping $122, so that wasn't to bad. The bad was calling Nalley Honda and them telling me it was $300 just in labor and having no interest in telling me the price of the pump. I did manage to find out they wanted over $110 for the belt. I know dealerships are nuts, but really? Anyway, enough about the dealership, I was surprised that the pump failed out. I'm driving a Toyota Sienna that still has the original in it and it has 104K miles. Again, I was shocked but I really don't have any regrets buying the Accord. I hope it was a fluke and I just got stuck with the "1" that failed. Knowing what I know now, I will be popping the hood more often. It was a wake up call that Honda Accord's do break, too. Update Mar 2021... Well, it's still running good. No new issues since the water pump. I'm still very happy with the Accord. The interior is still tight. It doesn't rattle like many plastic interiors. The paint is holding up well and the performance is still there. In the eight years I've owned it, I managed to put just over 65K miles and two minor accidents. It still looks great with the help of the body shop. If I was asked if someone should consider buying an Accord, I'd definitely recommend it.

It is a reliable family sedan. The V6 engine is powerful and fast. But the driver's seat is not very comfortable for long drive. My car has upgrade sound system with an 8" subwoofer but the sound is awful because of the noise cancellation system in the cabin. It also has pretty loud wind noise while driving over 45 mph. The interior is simple and boring. The Maintenance Dept at Open Road Honda in New Brunswick, NJ is not very friendly. They never contact me for recall or schedule maintenance. People worked in the office don't say hello when you walk in their office for maintenance. They just look at you and waiting for you to approach them. They look elegant to me. This is my third Honda Accord V6 and I have decided to buy other brand in this summer. All Honda dealers I experienced are not customer friendly. Honda should look into training your employee to more people friendly.

I love my 2013 Accord LX CVT. Probably the best looking Accord to date. Plenty of power for city driving or the freeway. CVT is a first for me but anytime you can cruise 70 mph @ 19-2000 rpm in a 3200 lb car is a win. Great interior, comfortable seats, great stereo. I managed 38 mpg on the highway today and the car has only 5k so I'm sure it will loosen up a bit once its broken in and gets synthetic oil inside

I got my Accord V6 Coupe in Spring 2016, with 40,000 miles on it. It now has around 110,000 and it's still driving great! With regular maintenance, it has performed really well for me over the years. I think the starter motor will need replacing soon, as it has given me grinding noise instead of starting a few times, but then it always starts by the 3rd try. The ride is smooth and quiet. The sound system is really good for all kinds of audio (phone calls to bluegrass to NPR to hip-hop). The car is comfortable for the driver and for the passengers (dual zone temp control is so so nice) and has generous trunk space. The leather is holding up well. The paint job still looks good, not fading or anything (mine is black, hence the "Batmobile" moniker). I get around 26-28 mpg for mainly city driving. On long trips, where it's more highway driving, I can get 33-34. The pick-up is fantastic, though I usually drive in ECO mode. But when I need to, I can take it out of ECO mode and it's nice and zippy. The handling is really nice and stable, even when driving on mountain roads. It's just a great car!

After 8 months of ownership, the title sums it all up. I cannot think of another sedan in this segment, and at this price, that can eclipse the performance of the Accord Sport with the 6-speed manual. Good acceleration, surprisingly high cornering limits and arguably the best shifter this side of BMW. The trade off is a set of truly awful Goodyear Eagle LS 2 tires (loud, no grip in wet, overly stiff), a spartan but functional interior with terrible seat fabric and the cheapest door plastic in the industry. Also did I mention the squeaks and rattles after only 5k miles.

After 3 months and 5,800 miles I am over all happy with my Accord Sport. The excellent manual transmission really gives this car some character, and it succeeds in its mission as a fun, affordable commuter car as well as a family hauler. I took a very close look at the new Mazda 6 Touring MT (an excellent car) but the Accord won out on virtue of superior head room (for my tall family), outward visibility, better shifter and the smoother, higher revving engine. I would have preferred to have had a bit more sport added from the factory (front seats, suspension, steering wheel feedback and small interior details) which would have transformed it into a front wheel drive quasi-sport sedan.
