Bad Honda...bad, bad Honda...

I traded an '05 Yukon SLT for this farce of a fuel saver when the Crosstour first came out. I thought with gas prices rising, it would be a good move. NOT~This car gets worse mileage (both in city and hwy) than either of my 2 prior Yukies. Honda kept passing the mileage off as the car "needing to be broken in"...seriously? How much breaking in? I have had this car for almost 3 years (46K mi) and it is worse now than before. The car still looks great and the interior has held up nicely, except for the plastic pieces, not built to last. So far, I've replaced brakes, tires, lights, etc.

A 2010 models paint already looks 20 years old. Clear coat is cloudy, roof and hood, flaking, whole car looks aged well beyond it's years. Last estimate to repaint, was over $10,000. Sit's next my other car 5 years older, paint is as if new! Dealer tells us so sorry. Not their problem. It's an embarassement in the driveway.

Crosstour Exploding Sunroofs

This performs and feels well. Unfortunately, my Honda Crosstour along with others online have had a problem with spontaneously exploding sunroofs. In my situation, American Honda and Gillman Honda had no intention of analyzing the situation with concern and they seem to be experts at ping ponging customers back and forth.

Guess it was meant to be. Dealer had one certified Crosstour. My favorite color, no nav., leather and some owner-purchased extras. It rides great and performance is very adequate. Interior is as nice as 2 Acuras I owned. Only "hitch" is the split rear view. I'm pretty anal but I think it will be fine. Guess I had a habit of looking at passengers in car behind me at lights. The "bar" mostly blocks this now. WATCH THE HATCH!! It is quite high. I had to install some cushioned padding on back of garage door as the hatch hits one of the bracing members. I like the car and I am getting some nice comments as well. It's practical and plush.

Off the bat, I was told great Sound, wrong - I traded great sound for this. Seats don't go up high enough and over all, It's really kinda basic compared to what I have bought in the past. It's is for sale and has 2800 miles on it. Can't even buy thing to deck-it-out so it's plain. I only suggest that you really check it out - in my opinion, opinion Only.

This my 2nd Honda, I just went to the CrossTour from a 2006 Pilot and I love it. It drives great and handles like a dream. I am a sales guy on the road and wanted better gas mileage, Room and comfort, I got all three with my Crosstour. The Navi is easy to use and it can get out of its own way on the highway (something the Pilot had trouble doing). The looks are Just outstanding, people walk up to me and wow is that a Honda! I can't be happier with my CrossTour.

We have enjoyed our Crosstour exactly one month today and are ecstatic to say it has proven to feel like it is worth far more than we paid. This is a car we bought based on articles, reviews, past Honda experience, and Honda reputation. How rare is that? Absolutely solid as a rock, feels all of one piece, not a single rattle, squeak, or wind noise. Feels far more luxurious than our previous Pilot EX- L. My wife and teenage sons love it. This is a rare car that feels special every time you drive it. Everyone is amazed at how quiet and unfazed it feels. It reminds me of the old days when cars weighed over 2 tons and would glide.

Disregard all negative comments about the looks of the Crosstour based on pictures. Guys, see it for yourselves. I have been approached once a week by people with positive praise of the looks of Crosstour. Many folks were in luxury vehicles and SUVs. 1800 miles later and the Crosstour is just getting better by the day. Typical Honda the MPG gets better with age. The V6 is powerfull and the ride is very smooth. The interior and sound package is fantastic. It takes time to get use to the rear hatch visibility issues, especially if you are use to Honda's visibility reputation. However its better than most other vehicles.

I have 2 kids with car seats, and when I drive I usually recline the seats all the way back, leaving my kids with only a few inches of leg room. NOT the case here. Plenty of room, my kids aren't cramped up, not kicking the back of my seat. Cargo room is great. Went to home depot the other day. Folded down the seats and everything fit great. Looks are exceptional. I constantly get comments like what kind of car is that, looks great etc.

We had been researching the new Crosstour since hearing about it. We wanted a 4 wheel drive and like the Honda nameplate. We went over as soon as they came to the dealer and signed the same night. It drives great and looks better in person than in the photos. The test drive sold us. The car went up steep hills with ease. We have only had it two weeks but are very pleased with the car! Still too early to tell about the fuel mileage, but ratings are 17/25 for the 4WD.

I have owned the Crosstour for about three weeks and have taken the vehicle on a 650 mile trip. The driving was Interstate cruising and the experience was on the par with my Cadillac DTS. Mileage was adequate at 27 for the tank used solely on the Interstate but the Crosstour is a large vehicle.

My lease was up on my RX350 and test drove the Toyota Venza and Nissan Murano before trying out the Crosstour. The Crosstour was a clear winner! Excellent drive train and quieter engine vs the RX350. Love the new styling, very sporty and fun to drive. I am 6'3 so headroom is very important and the Crosstour had the most headroom.

After leasing an Lexus RX350 for the past 3 yrs, I was ready for something new and less costly. I had not even considered the Crosstour until a friend suggested I check out this vehicle. All it took was 1 test drive and I was sold. I leased a fully equipped Crosstour with Nav and extremely pleased with everything this vehicle offers. Smooth drivetrain, excellent Navigation and Audio system, quality feel are just a few of the many things this vehicle offers. I also considered a Nissan Murano and Toyota Venza but the Crosstour was a clear winner!

I am proud to own this magnificent Honda. The design draws so much attention and has caused so many driver to go off the road or their lanes whenever I hit the road. The most fascinating fact is that some of the onlookers include drivers of Mercedes and Lexus.I have had a lot compliments from Grocery parking lots, traffic lights and gas stations. The gadgets inside are so cool (voice operated gadgets). The fact that you can operate the GPS, Radio, CD player and AC without taking your eyes off the road and hands off the wheel is an excellent safety feature. The dual-zone climate control is such a big relief. I love the bluetooth feature. I can make calls by just voice command. congrats Honda.

We were one of the first to buy one of these in our area. It has been an outstanding performer in all aspect with the possible exception of the rear view visibility. We have been very happy with the mileage. We just took a 400 mile road trip over a 3,000 foot mountain pass in both directions and at 70 MPH we still got 25 MPG. I love the leg room (6'2"). Before buying this car, we rented a Ford Taurus and the limited leg leg room had me in pain within 10 minutes.

I purchased a crosstour after driving a venza. The honda offers adequate room and versatility with good looks. I have not had long enough for the car to be broken in and see real world mileage, but the ride is excellent and honda eliminated their characteristic road noise issues. I also drive an A5 quattro coupe and this car suspension is less stiff as one would expect, but very compliant and predictable.

I've had the car for 4 months, and traded in an Audi Q7- the best move ever! I love the drive, the power and the looks it gets everywhere I go. For me the Q7 was too big, the CT is perfect- quiet ride, efficient, more room than a sedan for storage and fun to drive. I wanted value, space to haul stuff and better ride, and better gas mileage than the Audi- got it in spades! The use of Regular Gas is a plus as well.

The Honda Crosstour had ALL the features that both my husband and I were looking for. We purchase cars for longevity and truly shopped and test drove a quite a few models. Absolutely love this car! I have never received as many compliments on a car as this one and have noticed other people "checking it out" when driving on the highway or when it's parked in a parking lot. Love it so far, but the front seats should go higher. I'm 5'11" and it's just about right at the highest setting. My friend, who's 5'4", felt uncomfortably low at the highest driver seat setting. She currently drives a BMW 3 Series. Moreover, the passenger seat has no height adjustment at all. Looks great, drives well, plenty of rear leg room, and the gadgets are cool. You only get the rear view camera with Navigation, which I believe was a design mistake by Honda. It's tough to see out the back.

We were one of the first five people in Florida to buy a Honda Crosstour EXL (white with black leather). We have enjoyed driving the car. The day we brought it home and got the pass to our gated community for it, four men walked out of the office and just looked at the car. It is fun to drive. Averaging 22 miles per gallon in heavy traffic to downtown Miami. Great stereo sound system. Large cargo area. We are glad that we got it. It is eye-catching.

Just got the new car yesterday and I am in LOVE, traded 2005 Lexus RX330 which I did not care for, trans. trouble that Lexus said was normal. Anyway looked for 3 months at cars, from Acura to Infiniti, Lincoln. This car beats them all hands down, I love it. Drives like a dream, shifting is responsive audio is great, navi is superb and then there is the satellite radio. WOW this car is it. the rear hatch has the greatest compartment to remove if you have something wet not to ruin carpet. I have the total package in Black/Black interior and I was turning heads this morning coming to work, everyone thinks it is hot looking. I am 63 years young and love my new Crosstour. Thanks Honda.

Car is well-built, very stable, little float on curves. Navigation and back-up camera very helpful. Systems (audio, menu, bluetooth, ipod) all very intuitive. Could use a little more speed on the contact logs, song choices on ipod. Comfort a plus, nice job on the leather. Exterior styling is very clean and functional, good drag coefficient on this model. Overall a 9 out of 10.

Overall very pleased with the Crosstour. We like the styling and the convenience of the hatchback. The car is comfortable to drive. So far - so good. The limited rear visibility tempers after a few drives. One learns to use the mirrors much more than other SUVs. The smaller cargo capacity does not matter to us as we have a larger SUV as our primary vehicle (Acura MDX).

With the 4AWD I feel as though I am locked to the road... and I find myself cruising at 80 mph and not realizing it. The car is silent, no air noise, no vibration, not even engine noise. Been shopping for over a year, comparing all models in this class. Also reviewed all the Edmunds, Consumer Reports, and Motor Trend Reviews to find a reason why I should not buy this car for my family of 5. I could not find one, other than the 'controversial' styling, which I love. Looks like an Accord on steroids! Love the ride too; responsive, plenty of room for my 3 adult sized children in the back seating, and the quietness of the interior w/Active Sound Control makes the stereo and the cabin much more pleasurable. I did not want an SUV or minivan like every other family. This has great utility and rides like a car. NO regrets!

I love how it rides and looks and the room is unbelievable compared to the coupe. The easily let down back seats is a real plus when loading large items from the store. I feel so classy in this car which is how one should feel when driving. I would recommend this car to anyone wanting a nice ride and sporty looking car. I plan on driving this baby a long long time....

The lines/appearance of this car are truly one of my all time favorites--overall it's understated elegance. Love it all. Must be seen and driven to be truly appreciated. The navigation, a/c, fit and finish are excellent. I was quite surprised at how technologically sophisticated it is. Except for driving, almost everything else can be operated via voice commands (i.e. a/c, heating, radio, stereo, nav. etc.). Fun to drive and well powered. I truly do not understand the reviewers who have critiqued the shape of the vehicle.

I've had the crosstour for 1 month now and I still love it. I've had so many people compliment how roomy and comfortable the ride was. People have loved the new body style. If you are thinking about a new car, you should test drive the crosstour.

The Crosstour is a great car. My first Honda was an '07 Civic Hybrid that was a great car, but at 70 it was not easy to get in and out. I saw the Crosstour at the Chicago Auto Show and was convinced. I just drove a thousand miles and got 27.6 mpg with great comfort. It reminded me of the BMW I once owned. No regrets from the purchase and I got a great deal although I had to wait 2 months for delivery.

My first Honda...and my first new car in over 18 years. This Crosstour is wonderful and I love it! There were no EX-L Black/Black 2WD with Navigation available in Northern California so I began the search and found one in Orange County...purchased it and flew down to go pick it up. I drove it back to San Francisco (on one tank of gas) and found it very comfortable and very very quiet. What a great feeling going from one of the oldest cars on the road to the newest one that few people know about and really love looking at!

We are very happy with the Crosstour. The ride is similar to our Cadillac STS. Very spacious and good power. Gas mileage average is 22 mpg so far. Fit and finish is excellent. A near luxury car.

I am upgrading my review that I wrote in March 2010. We are more pleased than ever that we purchased this vehicle. We believe that this is the best Honda produced for 2010. Our vehicle is black on black with dark tinted windows and we continue to get compliments on the vehicle everyday. Most people say that they can not believe that this vehicle is made by Honda. My wife has taken over being the primary driver of this vehicle and she is impressed with the performance of the vehicle in the city and on the highway. I am glad we purchased the all wheel drive which has been a great benefit in the heavy rain. I look forward to testing the all wheel drive out in the snow this winter.
