I only had my Acadia 2020 for about a month and some ran a stop sign in front of me going 60 mph! I had my dash cam on. It was awful!! Every airbags deployed. The other lady involved had to be taken to the ER while I walked away with just a black eye. Everyone who watched the video says THAT Acadia saved your life!!!

Pretty pricey... but it is the right size, not too big and not too small. Traded in a 2019 Tahoe - it was also a great car, but too big and "trucky." The Acadia handles more like a car - much more responsive and quicker. Wife is primary driver and she loves it!

I have tested just about all of the midsize suv vehicles and this car by far has the best ride quality. The new transmission makes a major difference. Plus, I like that the suv isn't as large and bulky as some of the other vehicles in its class.

This is a review of a rental. I rented one of these and drove it 8hrs home and really really enjoyed it! First impression-roomy, comfy, well lit interior. Felt actually more like getting in a truck. Impressive. Get it on the highway, holy cow this thing MOVES! VERY quick and it's very nimble. Does not feel at all like a suv, more car like and cat quick. I'm actually looking for a Escape but dang, now this things got me thinking! I'd say the mileage was 27 on the highway, not bad. It is rock solid at 80. Have I said I seriously enjoyed driving this thing? It's really got me thinking about that Escape vs this lol.

I love this this SUV. I was driving a Z71 and I love that Truck also but it’s just way too big for me to get in and out so my Husband is driving it now he got me the GMC. And I love it so much better. Easy to get in and out very comfy to drive like our Z71 .

I love my Acadia Denali. The size is absolutely perfect. Plenty of space and a third row without being massive. It’s good looking inside and out, and the interior is plush and high quality. Lots of great safety and convenience features. Plus, the Acadia with the V6 is one of the best riding family SUVs out there. It has plenty of power, and it is smooth and quiet. Couldn’t be happier.

I truly love my 2019 GMC Acadia SLT-1. I had researched cars for a long time and nothing grabbed me. Then I saw the Acadia. I immediately was drawn to the styling. I drove it and loved it. I researched the option packages and chose the SLT1. The dealer was easy to work with and I’m very happy with my Quartz Red Acadia. The ride is very comfortable and so far no complaints whatsoever. Update: After three years of ownership I am still extremely pleased with my Acadia and would definitely buy again. It’s been a pleasure to own and drive. No problems at all.

My second Acadia and I really enjoy the new features. My Denali has the technology package that not only keeps me in my lane when cruising, it gives me a surround camera view when parking. Would love to have this on every vehicle. Lots of space for the family and grandkids and with all of the AC capabilities everyone stays cool and comfortable. The vehicle is great for road trips with the adaptive cruise control and handles well even in the snow.Lots of storage, plenty of legroom, even on the 3rd row,. I can not believe how much I enjoy the technology package, Being able to see a 360 view as if in a drone over the car when you park. My only problem is that I enjoy it so much, I look for it in my other cars and am disappointed.

I started driving GMC trucks & SUVs in 1972. I have had them all from pickup trucks to Yukons,Envoys & Crew cabs regular cabs 2 wheel drive & 4x4s. I have had Terrains. This is my first Acadia & I love it. It is the perfect size for my wife & I. Easy to handle & drive. I also have a 2018 GMC Terrain Diesel which I love but it is not as comfortable as the Acadia. So when we looked at the 2019 Acadia we live the size and comfort. They are very user friendly . The seats are very comfortable & plenty of power. My wife picked it out. The color Pepperdust with the ash leather seats is beautiful. Still going strong great mileage. No problems at all. We have had it over 6 years now and everything is going great. No problems. We have averaged 26.5 miles per gallon combined. We still enjoy this SUV no troubles. We have only had to do routine maintenance. We still love it Only 1 glitch over 5 years is not bad. Sometimes it says that it is not in park. Replaced the battery this year. I have spent less money maintaining this than any other SUV that I have ever had. Just put new tires on this year & it rides even better than before. Still going strong

AT4 is Awesome! Dismiss the lame Auto Mag articles

crazyboutcars, 02/11/2021
2020 GMC Acadia AT4 4dr SUV AWD (3.6L 6cyl 9A)
12 of 12 people found this review helpful

Purchased new 2020 AT4 end of July, so have been driving it for 6 mo. and nearly 12,000 mi. So far I absolutely love it. The AT4 is an off road trim, so guys (and some gals), it looks rugged instead of some sissy city only SUV. Dismiss the lame editorials that speak ill of this SUV or it's off road capabilities. What are your needs? Boulder crawling, river crossing, mud bogging? Then yes you need a more aggressive 4x4 like a serious Jeep, Toyota 4Runner, or 4x4 pickup. But if you live in a harsh winter area, like to snow ski, or reach that trailhead that happens to be on crappy dirt road the AT4 is more than capable. The articles like to be critical on it's ground clearance of 7.2 inches and make it sound like certain competitors have so much more at 8 or 8.2 inches. Have they looked at tape measure lately?! Really?! One inch or less! Give me a break! They fail to point out that these competitors, though are AWD, that's all they are. The AT4 has an Off Road on it's selector (along with 2WD, AWD, Sport, and Tow/Haul) that turns the AWD system into a more capable off roader by engaging a twin clutch system providing more torque to wheels that are loosing traction. I have personally found this system to work extremely well on 3 separate occasions, 2 being on deep muddy roads with some relatively steep inclines, and 1 in sugar sand. The AT4 performed beautifully! The AT4 gets the 3.6 six cylinder married to a 9 speed trans. At 310 hp the engine is very strong and the 9 speed is smooth as silk. You won't have any problem pulling out in traffic or passing. 0-60 in 6.1 sec. With the trailer package you can tow 4,000 lbs. In my opinion the ride is very smooth, taking bumps and such very well. Cabin is very quiet even at highway speeds. I have taken two trips both of which were nearly 1500 mi and included some of that "off roading" I mentioned and still managed a solid 23 mpg combined. And that's with me being notorious of having a heavy foot! For me, at 6ft. and 210lbs, I find the seats to be very comfortable and supportive. They can come configured differently with seating from 5-7 people. Mine has captain chairs in second row and a third row seat. The 8 inch screen is great and very quick. Instrument panel in nice and easy to use. Air vents are abundant with large vents in front and four more in the ceiling to the third row. Storage and gadget holders everywhere. In my opinion the interior is very nice, not plush, but very nice. Not cheap or chintzy. The Bose sound system, well, sounds great of course. Plenty of bass through the subwoofer. Two areas I feel could be improved on. It doesn't have driver seat memory. I really feel GM should have made that standard in the AT4 since it's just a step down from the Denali. And, the gear shifter. It's an electronic push button/rocker switch which is fine actually once you get used to it, but I do have to agree somewhat with the critics on the placement at the bottom of the center stack. I do feel it would be more user friendly if it was located nearer to the steering wheel area, maybe set vertically. So, like I said in the beginning, very happy with choosing this vehicle. So if you are looking for a rugged yet comfortable SUV, and not needing a hardcore teeth jarring off roader, then I think it would be worth your time to take a good look at the new Acadia AT4.

As much as I wanted to love my Acadia Denali I just can't. I purchased it in September 2019 and it has been at the dealer since mid November for various issues ( Navigation, Radio, Touchscreen, Emergency Parking Brake, Noise in the rear, defective Headliner, Defective weather seal). It is really a beautiful vehicle, but the early production ones definitely have a quality issue. My hope is that it will get better in due time, but right now I just can't recommend it. I had a 2017 Acadia Denali prior to the 2020 and loved it thus the reason I got it again. Unfortunately, at this time I just can't recommend this car.

We have a 2019 Acadia SLT, bought brand new and have had a problem with the gear shift from the beginning. Just occasionally at first, but now has become a real pain!! When we put it in park it keeps saying put vehicle into park and won’t stop dinging no mater what we do until we finally have to start it and MOVE it, sometimes more than once to finally get it to say it’s in park!

I have a 2019 AWD and it was great for the first 2500 miles or so, then the transmission started to slip on the 2 to 3 upshift. Now at 9100 miles it shifts horrible and you feel very downshift too. The car feels like someone is stepping on the brake between shifts. Rest of the car is ok. Looks good to me and handles ok. The stock headlights are the dimmest I've ver seen. had to upgrade bulbs just to see where I was going. Thx goodness mines a lease. RUN AWAY. Not a good car.

Best SUV so far

Previous SUV type vehicles: 1976 Jeep CJ5, 1996 Chevy Blazer, 1999 Dodge Durango, 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe, 2007 Chevy Tahoe, 2013 Caddy SRX. The 2 Chevy's and the Caddy were the best of the bunch with the Caddy being the best. Now the Acadia. I'm currently 4 months and 3,000 miles into ownership. It now owns the top spot for my SUV ownership experience. I shopped the Pilot & Highlander also and ultimately bought the Acadia SLT-1. The ride and handling is great and on par with the Caddy. The 3.6l v6 mpg is best, higher than the 2.7l v6 in the 2003 Hyundai. The Tahoe being so large had its inherent handling issues, but was still better than the Dodge. The features that swayed me to the Acadia vs Pilot, Highlander, XT5, Traverse or Enclave. Leather seating in a vehicle without sunroof. I only open the sunroof and widows on any of our vehicles when my wife gives a lustful eye when we drive by a convertible (our convertible disease is another story). So that cost savings and GM incentives wipeout the lower depreciation rates on the Pilot & Highlander. Next, reliability. I have owned multiple GM cars for 10 years and 100k miles with no problems(my latest being a Pontiac 2008 G8 which is currently being driven by my son). Likewise the Tahoe(100k miles) and SRX(80k miles(totally at 65mph, T-boned a driver who failed to yield)(yes we walked away)) were issue free. SLT-1, optional 3.6L V6 & towing package.

Blown head and head gasket right out of the gate!

It was acting strange after it was purchased brand new and shuddered, then check engine lights came on and it blew the head gasket and cylinder head. Barely made it to dealership 1/2 mile away! Took 14 days to get the parts and fix! And, it had other codes and I never saw where that was fixed! Horn was honking for no reason and I got an Onstar alert that the security system was activated. It’s because this is haunted with problems, Biggest lemon I ever seen. According to my states rules, this hasn’t qualified as a lemon...yet! Anybody ever heard of buying a new vehicle with a blown gasket and bad cylinder service head...me neither! 2.5l engine, by the way. Still trying to figure out if I should dump it and lose money, wait until it qualifies for the lemon law or just put up with all the problems! Lose, lose options!

Damaged Rocker Panel

IJ, 07/23/2019
2019 GMC Acadia SLT-1 4dr SUV AWD (3.6L 6cyl 6A)
148 of 180 people found this review helpful

I bought a brand new 2019 Acadia. Three days later, after an hour drive on a hot weather, I tried getting out of the passenger door and the rocker panel bent. From the vehicle running for an hour and being in the sun it caused the metal to expand which caused the door to catch the rocker panel and bend/damage it. GMC did not leave enough room between the door and the rocker panel. I brought my vehicle to the body shop and the body shop was told by GMC to repair the panel. It is a GMC defected and they refused to replace the rocker panel. GMC brought a rep out to look at the repair and he said "it looks good". I do not care what it looks like. I paid for a brand new vehicle. I want a new rocker panel put on, since it is a GMC defect. After a month of battling with GMC, I told them I will contact the BBB and post review like this and they told me go ahead. I will never buy another GM product. I will take my business somewhere where it is appreciated.

Major Breakdown, Inadequate GM Support

Mark, 05/01/2019

My family has been a loyal GM customer for many years. So, without reservation and excited that we purchased a new 2019 GMC Acadia SLT1. Our feelings quickly changed. With only 645 miles, it suffered a transmission failure that left us stranded 350 miles from home. When we were able to get it in for repairs the next day, they determined the problem was so severe that we needed to leave the car for a number of days before it was fixed. Needing to get home, we had no choice but to arrange for transportation and then come back later to pick up the car. While GM made the repairs under warranty, they have not done much to alleviate our concern that our new Acadia is unreliable and therefore unsafe. They also refused to reimburse us for the over $400 of out of pocket expenses we incurred as a result of the breakdown and return trip to pick up the car. Reimbursement would have been a fair thing to do if GM truly cared about supporting their products and customers. If we had it to do over again, we would never have purchased an Acadia.

I bought my 2019 GMC Arcadia Denali June of 2020 with 18000 miles. The 25 months or 10,000 miles I had the car in the shop more than 10 times for issues such as front suspension issue, sunroof issue, defrost never worked properly, airconditioning would work intermitently, air condition seat issues, as well as the last issue before I sold was the thermostat failed and car overheated. The car had alot of issues before it hit 28,000 miles.Luckily I was able to sell the vehicle while used car prices are high. This was the first and last GM product I will ever by.Also the shifter was replaced before I bought the car as well.

I have only had the 2020 SLT Acadia a few days but so far I love everything about it. It surprised me how quite and smooth driving is. The 2.0 turbo feels more than adequate. The captain chairs are wonderful. The only thing I miss is the lane centering that came standard on other brands. Overall 5 stars.

This Acadia SLT-2 is a nice fit in size and comfort. The LGX V 6 received Wards award for one of the 10 best engines refined and reliable 4th generation V 6. This vehicle has a nice ride and enough power to make your ride enjoyable. Its not as big as my crew cab but is a lot easier to park. I have had Suburban's , Avalanche, and this acadia works for me. My wife has taken it over

02/09/24 Latest problem with 2020 GMC Arcadia Denali: All four wheel covers started peeling (only have 13,500 miles). Even though the car is considered as being out of warranty, I felt that GMC should replace these as no cost to me. Local dealership submitted a request to do just that. But GMC declined to do so. I understand that I am not the only person to have this problem. After buying a high price, top of the line vehicle, I thought wheel covers should last longer than just over three years. I guess not. At least that appears to be GMC’s opinion. Customer opinion must not count much any more. It’s ashamed GMC will loose a customer over their lack of quality control of a wheel cover. Dealer replaced entire back up camera system including radio unit. Took a number of visits to get this addressed. Took over a month getting parts to make repairs. Back seat sun shade won’t totally close. Front seat shade is slow to open. It seems that GMC can’t get a manual shade to work and dealer can’t fix this problem. Will think twice before considering another GMC product. Update May 2021: Still having problems with the second row roof shade. The plastic latch has actually broken and shade will not latch or close, leaving the shade entirely open (no sun protection at all). GMC actually replaced the shade latch, but original gap still exist with no way to solve the original problem of light entering cabin. Still waiting for a solution to a shade that won’t entirely close to prevent sunlight entering cabin. 11/27/2022 Received a notice letter from GMC on a safety recall N222378380 rear view camera not functioning properly. This addresses previous problems I have discussed. Letter states that “Parts to repair are not currently available, but when parts are available, your GMC dealer will replace the affected coaxial cables. This service will be performed for you at no charge.” They will sent a “second letter” when parts are available and asking to take car to GMC dealer for service. My other problem with back seat shade not totally closing has not been addressed as of this time. 02/01/23 took Arcadia for camera recall parts installment. It seems to work for now BUT: during install they cracked the back side panel on driver’s side and informed me they would replace. Ordered panel. 03/01/23 Told part was on back order. Will this ever end?

From a Tahoe to the Acadia Denali

I recently traded a tank of a Tahoe for an smaller cross over that fits the whole family. Granted the Tahoe was an LS model but with two kids about to learn how to drive the safety features really makes me more comfortable with them driving. Another bonus is the WiFi availability which my kids love! I love the everything about this car so far. The salesman and entire staff at Southern GMC in Chesapeake Virginia were wonderful to us. Adam was very knowledgeable and helpful. We were able to meet our price point and the husband got a free GMC hat, and they filled up the gas tank. I am very pleased and happy with our decision to not get another big sized SUV.

my model is a sle with the 3.6 6 cyl. which isnt listed under the model catagory, ive had my gmc about 3 months with no complaints. plenty of room and comfort. the 6 cyl. provides plenty of power to move quickly. so far through 2 snowstorms it has performed flawlessly in awd mode. the heated seats are a nice option and the remote start is a must have. i dont use the 3rd row seats so there is plenty of storage space with them stowed flat. styling is nice but id like to get rid of the roof rails. fit and finish is nice so far no problems.still no problems after 3 years. I’m glad I can change my own oil with the filter located in a easy to reach spot.

The 2020 wasn't in stock so it was delivered. I wanted to buy American. Mine is supposed to come equipped with Heads Up Display. I paid for the feature, it shows on my window sticker and all other paperwork. The hardware is missing for the feature entirely. Spoke to another 2020 owner and his model was missing hardware for the emergency collision braking. Mine has the lane change alert and emergency braking. I don't think the lane change alert and emergency braking works properly. Doesn't seem to detect when I leave the lane or come too close to the vehicle in front of me most of the time. It isn't an issue with the settings. I told the dealership about the missing feature and so far they are confused without explanation or resolution. When I ordered the vehicle I saw a big flat surface between the buttons of the GPS. I though that was a touch pad but it is just dead space. The GPS screen looks dated compared to other vehicles with a large flush glass panel. Also the gaps between the interior panels are too noticeable. Only the drivers floor mat has a hook to hold in in place. All the other mats just slide around. The shuddering from the start stop feature is extremely noticeable so that must be disabled. There is a nob that allows the driver to switch between 2wd and 4wd. There is no setting for intuitive AWD that stays in 2wd and switches to 4wd when slip is detected. Also the pricing for this model is higher than what I consider superior models; Subaru, KIA, Hyundai, etc. I hope other 2020 owners have a better experience.

It is a bit smaller than most 7 seaters, but larger than most 5 seat suvs, with better cargo space. I think it is a perfect compromise. I like that it is available with a 4 cylinder engine that gets very good mileage, for a large vehicle. It comes with pretty good options and is comfortable and roomy. When the third row is folded down it has much more cargo space than the Edge or the Grand Cherokee. Love it.

I've had my Acadia for about 1.5 years. It's a very smooth riding car and a perfect fit for my family. It has pretty much all the bells and whistles (except a few things listed below that I would expect in the top trim). I've had a few things go wrong. The transmission valve bodies had to be replaced at about 15,500 miles due to a shudder I noticed as I accelerated. Also, the drivers mirror had to be replaed as it was stuck in the tipped down position after going in reverse and then back into drive. Luckily, all that was covered under warranty. There are a few things I scratch my head about though. For example, there are no seat belt adjusters available. For someone who is only 5'4" I don't have any option to adjust the seatbelt and it cuts me across the neck. Yes, I can raise the seat but that's still not ideal for me. Also, manual folding mirrors only and no blinker in the mirrors. Really? For the top trim, I'm disappointed that these features aren't standard or even available. Those seem to be features you find in even base models on some cars/SUV's. I have about 18,200 on it now and the verdict is out on how long I'll keep it.

We are very sad about this car. We needed a three row car that could tow and this one said it would tow 5000 lbs. It does not. We have even sent a letter via attorney with no help. It is sad you spend and research a car that much and the company is so big, they do not care to stand by what they say. Also, the blind spots are pretty bad, and did not get a realistic check of them having the car only 24 hours prior to buying. Trunk space is really small when third row down.

Only buy this car if you want cardboard as a sunshade . We bought a 2020 GMC acadia SLT in July. The spring loaded sunshade is a very poor and cheap design for a $40,000 vehicle. With only 800 miles the plastic latch broke that holds the sunshade closed while the car was in our garage. 2 dealers have taken pictures--but neither has called us back. Both did say they plan to use plastic againg for the latch. UNREAL.

Handles like a car with good manners. The exterior is beautiful. Just the right amount of chrome and the wheel round out the package. I only have two hand s so I can only give it two thumbs up. GMC your hit the bull's eye this time. This Acadia SLT with V-6 FWD with 9 speed automatic transmission is the complete package.

Shortly after we bought the 2019 Acadia, I had trouble with the key fob opening the door. This happened after the car got wet from rain or a car wash. I was locked out several times. Last summer we noticed a moldy smell in the car, took it in and had the dealership do an ozone clean and the smell did not leave. They found there was a leak and water had been seeping in and collecting on the floor under the carpet. The leak also caused some sort of issue with the system that operates the way the key fob opens the doors. In checking out other car sites, it seems this is a common issue. I paid for the dealership to fix the leak a few months ago but just last week I went to the car wash and the leak is still there. I live in a very small town and it has happened to one other Acadia in this same small town. Unless there is a recall and fix to the issue, I plan on selling this car soon.

I bought this vehicle (SLE AWD V6) in October of 2020 and have put on 8,000 miles so far. The size is perfect for us and it has a quiet, smooth drive compared to the Explorer and other competitors. I had not owned a GM vehicle in over 20 years, but the pricing and discounts were great at the time. We went with the lower trim because we intend to use this vehicle for a few years running kids around town to their events so we didn't need all of the extras. So far I'm very happy with the ride and drive, but the rest of this vehicle leaves much to be desired. The interior is cheap with many rattles. There is a rattle coming from the driver's side window in cold weather that no one could figure out. The second row sun roof shade doesn't close all the way and rattles as well. I had it in to the dealership for this and it didn't get fixed. I have to leave the shade open so it doesn't drive me nuts. The factory tires are not the greatest and have poor traction. Even in AWD the traction in the snow was poor compared to past SUVs that I have owned. I had read the reviews and didn't have unrealistic expectations when I bought this vehicle, but I didn't expect the interior rattles in a 2020 model from any manufacturer! In retrospect I should probably have spent $8K more and bought the Highlander or Palisade but it is what it is at this point. In two years my youngest will be driving and I will have this Acadia paid off so I will likely be moving on to something a little better.

I have leased the 2013 Acadia Denali and the 2016. I just leased the 2019 last week and it’s the biggest mistake I ever made! I jumped into so fast not realizing all the simple things they took away that I enjoyed so much. The front seatbelts used to be able to adjust to your size so it didn’t cross over your neck... now I deal with constantly pulling the seatbelt off my neck! The outside mirrors are no longer power, now you have to manually fold in. The knobs on dash are very cheap looking compared to my past Acadia’s. I have to agree with another review on here about the roof is so much lower that it feels like you’re driving a car. The drivers seat definitely is not what it used to be... it is now uncomfortable and much more narrow. I knew the vehicle shrunk in size but what a difference! There are also no more crossbars on top of roof. They also took away the directional signals on outside mirrors! The interior has no storage space, a very small middle console. I’m paying a lot more money for a lot less. I can’t believe I have 3 years in this! The one positive is it does drive decently.

I was planning on purchasing a 2019 Explorer Sport after selling my 2014 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Unlimited. Then a family member was able to offer me GMS Employee pricing and suggested I look at the Acadia. The dealership was good to work with and fast to make the sale happen, and I "thought" I was purchasing a great vehicle and saving loads of money. That was until it arrived at the dealership. It started with a loose panel in the driver's area next to the center console. There was a massive gap in the plastic parts. They had a tech "repair" it in which there is not a permanent scar where his screwdriver scratched the cheap plastic. There's also somehow a scratch on the base of the tachometer needle behind the protective glass when it was new somehow (poor assembly equipment?). Then I started using the vehicle and instantly drew comparisons to my girlfriend's 2016 Jeep Cherokee and my father's 2015 Explorer and my previous Jeep Wrangler. The first thing you notice is with the key fob. You can't simply remote start with a double press of the fob, you instead have to lock the doors (even if they're locked) and then press and hold the remote start and then hope it worked. The Jeep's both simply require a double click and the vehicle lock's itself and starts. Then comes getting into the vehicle with the key fob. You can't just reach for the door handle and have it unlock like you can with the Explorer or Cherokee; you instead have to push the button on the door handle (first world problems I know). This is the easiest most intuitive thing on the Explorer and Cherokee, but for some reason GM doesn't afford this capability. Likewise, when you get out, you have the option of having the doors automatically lock (which is annoying at times), but this doesn't work when the vehicle is running. So say you want to run into a store and leave the car running with the AC on because you have your dog in the car. So the feature is extremely annoying when it's constantly locking when the car isn't running, but doesn't work when you actually want it to. Now, let's get to the real simple things GM missed. The owners manuals literally came in a zip-lock baggie. At first I was like, did they forget to give me the leatherette binder that every new vehicle I have purchased has come with? Nope, no such offer, just a plastic baggie. Super cheap. The center console is just a big massive hole. There's no upper tray for things you readily need available like, well every vehicle I have ever owned. Again, this just oozes the feeling of a cheap vehicle. Rear cup holders are in the door, so please don't ever let anyone have an open can of soda and forget it's there when they slam the door shut. There's a "drawer" in the lower portion of the center console for rear passengers for some reason, but no cup holders where they are in every other SUV I've ever been in. Same with the front doors. There's a map pocket style area in each front door. Most manufacturers now create a space molded into the door for bottles for water or whatever. Not in the GMC Acadia, you're contigo cup is just going to bang around if you place it there. Cosmetic and creature comforts aside, the transmission feels like it never knows which gear it wants to be in and always feels like it's struggling or hesitant. Climbing hills the vehicle feels like the transmission is "slipping" or stuttering. The fuel economy is abysmal for a new generation V6, averaging 16 mpg. My Rubicon averaged 17.8 over the life of the vehicle and was sold with 98,000 miles and still performed that well with the Pentistar V6 and Mud Terrain Tires. I can't fathom if this engine is this poorly designed or if it is woefully underpowered for the weight of the vehicle. In comparison my girlfriend's Cherokee gets 24mpg in the same area I drive the Acadia and the Explorer Ecoboost averages 20mpg. I've never cared about fuel economy having driven the Rubicon with Mud Terrains, but I assumed I was going to see some massive savings on that front when I purchased this vehicle, not a reduction. When I look back at this purchase, it was a good looking vehicle, that seemed to be loaded with all the latest tech. After having owned it for a couple of month's it's clear that GM is still struggling after their bailout to produce a quality vehicle. This will unfortunately be the last GM vehicle I purchase, and I should have spent the extra $8,000 and gotten the vehicle I wanted (Ford Explorer Sport).

Rented one of these new 2019 GMC Arcadia from a national rental car company. Nice looking vehicle on the outside. It was comfortable for the driver and passenger in the front seat. Middle row was a little tight for the kids. Where to start? Got on the highway and the thing started making this crazy loud noise - a rumble. The company had me stop at a nearby airport and switch it out. Yep - all the luggage and stuff. They gave me the exact same model and year. Only a few thousand miles difference. Got on the highway and the new one started making the same rumble. Came from somewhere under the car. Noise, vibration, and rattling. These accompanied us the entire way to the beach and back. Also, the smaller engine was horrible. It felt and sounded like it had a moped engine anytime you gave it the gas. I complained when I turn the car in and the attendant said that everyone who had rented this model Had complained about the size, power and noises.

I had 2016 Acadia and absolutely loved it. Without doing too much research, I decided to go with another Acadia without realizing how much it has changed. Talking about change - I almost fell out of my chair when I saw it! It is definitely not a full size SUV and should not be classified as one. It is much more comparable to a crossover SUV that I had years ago! Getting a new Acadia was JUST because it was so roomy, smooth and spacious. 2019 version is NOTHING like this anymore: it is narrow, not smooth anymore, loud and does not have any horse power. Getting up the hill is awful. They just destroyed this great old model with very unimproved 'improved' version .

The SUV is built very small no room for groceries or people. Car has to many safety features the seats vibrate, sounds and lights all at the same time it's a bit distracting and over whelming. The car I rented has 1200 miles on it and at a idle the whole car shakes. When you take off at a light the car shifts loudly can quickly. The cabin of the car is built low so you feel like your driving a car when you look out the windshield your looking almost level with the hood. It has thick window trim making horrible blind spots. The only thing I liked about this car was the the comfort and heating of the drivers seat and the clarity of the backup camera. If this car was givin to me I would sell it rather then keep it!

My 2019 GMC Acadia started out wonderful! It began having shift issues when I would shift to park and I would get an error message asking me to shift to park. A few months later a steering error showed on the screen and followed with a loss of a/c. From there the car started sputtering and the just died. I have had about 10 parts replaced and no luck. I’m simply devastated.

The AWD is fantastic in the winter and being able to seat 7 is a big plus when taking a group to an event. We've taken it on a few long trips and got great gas mileage for the vehicles size. It has a nice, comfortable ride that makes longer trips more enjoyable. All the controls are well placed and easy to navigate. I would pick this over a mini-van any day (I've had both). The vehicle size is perfect and provides great visibility while driving. I feel this is a very safe vehicle and provides ample protection with airbags and its overall size. We have put over 60000 miles on this vehicle and have not needed any repairs. We have done regular maintenance with oil changes, filters, tires but that's it. Thinking about getting a new battery before winter get's too much worse (just to be safe). One of the best vehicles we have ever purchased. Would recommend and would purchase again.

I love the styling, the ride, the storage, the peppy 6 cylinder engine, the quality leather seats, the storage and pulling ability....and just everything! I have a 2019 SLT-1 and that is so well equipped. It's beautiful and is the perfect size for me...not too big, not too small, Goldilocks says it's "just right!" UPDATE: Yes still love it. No problems, great running vehicle, paint still looks beautiful, everything works perfect. I am very happy with the perfect car for me!!
