Used 1993 Geo Prizm Sedan Consumer Reviews
great car!
bought this car new and to date i have replaced the following parts: wiper blades, brake shoes, alternater, tires. thats it!!!! this has been the most trouble free car that i have ever owned. the car still looks great and drives like new. we also have a 97 prism with 97,000 miles, only replaced the tires- why mess with near perfection?
I can't believe my dad bought this car
My parents have spent approx. $800 on repairs for this car. Acceleration, horsepower is poor. Something is draining the battery on the car. This car has stalled in my school parking and a major road during rush hour. DO NOT BUY A GEO PRISM, BUY THE COROLLA, IT IS CHEAPER IN THE END.
Bad Car Day
From the day I recieved this Car I have had to install a new alternator, starter 2 transmissions, and now the engine leaks and it cant run because of a valve problem . Think twice before getting this year, of a car, 93 Geo's bad any other year ok.
I Miss My Prizm
I really liked this car! It wasn't very exciting, but just about everything about it was done very well. I also think the styling is much better than nearly any other compact sedan out there. Mine was totaled a week ago and I miss it. I'll probably look for another one just like it, but a few years newer.
Runs too well to let go
I want a new car, but can't justify it. This car costs almost nothing to maintain and provides reliable transportation. Bought the car new in '93 and average 10k miles a year. I get 30-32 mpg during my daily commute on local roads and 37+ on the interstate. Replaced the alternator twice (now with lifetime replacement from dealership) and the brake pads up front. I need to repair the falling headliner. Oh, and the dome light has been a pain from the beginning. I did have to replace the rear speakers and the stereo display no longer lights. Outside of that, I have no complaints!
