Don't buy!
Purchased the GV80 5 months ago and have had so many regrets since. Starting with things that are working as they are supposed to but are not great: 1) the AC compression sounds like a fighter jet is flying over when you are outside the car - I can hear my wife 2 blocks away. 2) Genesis phone app constantly crashes and uninstalling and reinstalling is the only resolve 3) Still requires a cable for apple/andriod auto - how does the Santa Fe have this but the 2024 GV80 does not? 4) Gas mileage is poor, I knew it was not going to be great but it is a gas hog! 5) It may be the service center I brought mine into but they had none of the luxury brand amenities a vehicle this price usually has when your car is serviced. Now for issues we have: 1) If you need the car serviced it typically takes over a month to get into the shop (if you need a loner) 2) Transmission is rough and shimmies 3) Steering wheel makes a noise everytime you turn it 4) Car starts to hum from driver side after driving for an hour or so 5) SW is a bit buggy - car has reset settings several times on us and sometimes is not responsive to clicks such as hitting home or back (nothing happens) 6) The forward collision sensor is crazy sensitive and will lock your seatbelt and vibrate the wheel often when there is no collision risk. This cannot be permanently turned off. We really want to love the car but just can't.
2025 GV80 3.5t prestige starting issue
The problem started around 200 miles. The car wouldn’t start after leaving for a day. Brought it to dealership, they charged the battery and did an update but problem wasn’t solved. My car is at dealership now. They replaced a battery and again did the update and still facing battery draining issues. They have done parasitic draw test and weren’t able to gather clear information. After month at the dealership finally they delivered the car stating everything was fixed. Next day car won’t start. It was sent back to dealership after two months they finally was able to fix all the issues. One month later the screen went black while driving. I stopped the car and screen did boot and came back. It happened three time more after that. I filed for a buyout and it was approved. I gave the car back. I am glad I did.

Outstanding
We have had the 2024 GV-80 Prestige for a couple months now. The car is outstanding in every way. I love that it takes regular gas and that it is the quietest car we have ever had. It is my wife's car - she waited several years before finally getting one. As other people have mentioned, the dealership (in Huntsville) was terrible - they didn't even wash the car when we went to pick it up (and they had it for a week to do just that). I love the option to allow the transmission to go into 'coast' mode when you let up off the gas - helps with gas mileage. We average 20-22 mpg combined. Haven't taken it on a long trip yet. Would definitely buy again.

Total electrical failure while in operation
We have a 2024 GV80 Prestige with only 6k miles as we don't drive very often and have had the vehicle for 12 months. We experienced a complete and total electrical failure while operating the vehicle on a trip. The Vehicle stopped on a busy road and we were unable to activate any warning system due to the failure. It's a pure miracle we or others vehicles did not crash or cause serious injury. The Genesis assistance line was not useful in assistance and we had to have the vehicle towed to a local mechanic. We have lost all confidence in the vehicle and requested Genesis reimburse us for expenses due to the failure. Genesis denied the buyback claim, but did reimburse us partially for expenses. An $85k vehicle should not break down and we expected better customer service at this price point. We will NOT get another Genesis and will return the leased vehicle as soon as possible. I would not recommend the GV80 based on our experience with the make/'model.

2024 GV80
Great vehicle, no complaints. Had a 2021 and trained it on this and it held value unlike most vehicles you trade!
