Nothing but problems with 2010 Taurus SHO
88,000 miles and the water pump failed. The water pump is an internal engine drive design, so what could have been cheap and easy is very expensive due to Ford's design requiring head removal (for a water pump!). Only if that is all that was wrong. Because of Ford's head, stretch bolts and accordian metal layered gasket design, antifreeze got into the oil. So, for a failed water pump and the resulting damage $3500. As if that was not enough, 2 weeks after the above repair and maybe 500 miles of driving one of the turbos failed. This repair...$1200. So what is next? Have the issues been resolved and now should have a good car? Or will the problems continue? Should I RUN to a dealer and trade it in before the next major repair?

'10 Ford Taurus SHO- BUYER BEWARE!!
I purchased this car new and had good success with it up until 75k miles and after that I poured $3,800 into replacing an injector, (2) catalytic converters, spark plugs, front wheel bearing and a heater box switch. The car just turned 100k miles and the check engine light was illuminated for the 3rd time in the last year and a half. The diagnoses this time, a defective cylinder on cylinder # 1. recommendation to replace the engine at a price of $7,000! This is unacceptable for a car that's been a single owned, adult driven, well taken care and maintained car! In my opinion, a downright embarrassment for a leading U.S auto manufacturer!!!!. I've contacted Ford Customer "no" care twice now to no avail! Selling the POS and will NEVER purchase another Ford!!!

Best car ever!
This Car is absolutely amazing. The handling and performance smoke my 3 series. Wouldn't prefer it to any other car in the world. The massaging seats are incredible.
SHO Beats the Supercharged Mustang GT I Owned!
I don't know about the SEL or Limited, but the SHO is by far the most fun car I have ever owned. It beats my 2011 700 HP Mustang GT for fun driving. I have the perfomance package with lower gear ration, firmer ride, etc. I have loaned it to my car buddies who are completely amazed. I took this lovely sedan to the dragstrip and with only a tune from Livernois Motorsports it ran a 12.99. That is FAST for a large car that gets 28 MPG on the highway. The size and firm ride remind of my 1970 Torino 429 Cobra Jet or the 1970 Roadrunner I owned with the firm ride. However the SHO handles very, very good. I cannot speak for the standard SHO, but I want to buy a 2018 Mustang GT, but don't want the small size and lower stance.

This New SHO Rules the Road
Wow, fantastic performance that just plain embarrasses many so-called performance sedans. More techno gadgets than any car in its class, and more than most luxury brands offer. Modern up-to-date styling that is bold yet still somewhat traditional you won't forget this car five minutes after you get out of it. Ford has hit a grand slam with this vehicle!
