Overall, a good car. Most of the time works smoothly, but when something does go wrong it's usually expensive. Safety features provide all sorts of quirks.

After we bought this vehicle, we saw plenty of them on the road---being driven by cute little old ladies. We are in our 20's with two children, and have gotten great use out of our Taurus. We live in a small town, and the majority of the miles are from highway driving. It has enough power to pass easily, and gets up and goes when we need it to. We have never had any mechanical problems, and will really miss it when the time comes to sell.

I am a somewhat new driver and I got my Taurus from my dad at like 189,000 miles and by next week I will have 200,000 miles. I drive my car hard leaving from stops and the only thing I see wrong with the car and other Taurus's is that the rear shocks and struts go out at about 100,000 miles, but other than that I love my cat-fish car.
