Love my Ranger
Love my 2021 Ford Lariat, this is my favorite truck I've ever bought. I have the towing package and I pull a 4500 pound trailer like a pro. Plenty of power. Just a great truck, looks sharp too

I love the design, but the build quality is poor..
Overall experience... First, I really like the design of my new truck... but the build quality has issues.. When I purchased the truck it was in transit (on a train) and was expected to be delivered within a week. When the truck arrived at the dealer it was in very rough shape after its unprotected trip. When I took delivery the next day, I noticed the new truck had already been driven 27 miles. So, not getting an answer for how a new vehicle had miles, I called the assembly plant for an answer. No other contacts including the Korum Ford dealership nor the national Customer Service could provide a clear explaination for the excessive miles. When I was transfered to the assembly plant, I was greeted by a guard that would not connect me to anyone including any public information person. She was rude and simply disconnected the call. My truck was delivered with a scratched (wiped with abrasive) Sync screen, overspray and outward dent on right front quarter panel, overfilled brake master cylinder reservoir (brake fluid on painted surfaces), floor mats that don't fit, misaligned tail gate (possibly bent bed opening), passenger seat wire harness routing problem (strain and flattened conductors caused by forward movement of seat), front wheel alignment problem (caster not allowing front wheel clearance, drivers side) and dimpled hood. In addition, the Ford Pass app wouldn't authenticate my VIN because another user was already associated with the truck. In my case, this assembly plant did not produce a quality finished product. I had no issue paying a very high MSRP for a new vehicle that should never have problems... I had to buy sight unseen due to high demand and little availability. This was a very disappointing experience. I paid top dollar for a used truck with manufacture defects. Just try to get a Ford dealer to do warranty work. If your lucky, they might fix the original issue, but cost you greaf and possibly more damage through the repair process. My experience with Ford, their dealers and their product will certainly cause me to go to the competition with my dollars in the future. They are always glad to take your money but then turn their back when an issue arrises. Through this experience I have met / talked with many quality people that empathize with these issues. If I could recommend anything it would be that Ford empower and promote excellence and get rid of dead weight. The dealer wants to blame all the problems on Ford, but my issues have not been corrected at this time. You may feel confident after hours of product research... the difference is in dealing with people and an organization you can trust with your hard earned money. My wife has since purchased a beautiful, perfectly built, fuel efficient Subaru (also expensive). She absolutely loves her car and had a great buying experience. I have attempted to get the Warranty repairs done at two separate local dealers with no luck. Both attempts were very time consuming. Ford is aware of all the problems but has so far, been nonresponsive.

Love my Ranger Tremor
You will love this truck. Bought the 2021 Ford Ranger Lariat Tremor edition in Rapid Red. I was a little nervous about the stated mpg 19/19 but have been getting around 20 mpg with equal interstate/city driving. Yes it would nice to get better mpg the tremor package provides some improvements that will give you a better driving truck on and off the road. Also, while the Ranger may be classified as a compact truck it is far from being small and the Tremor package makes it a bit beefier. It drives great and despite the 32 inch Grabber Tires it has minimal road noise. The larger tires also look great. The upgraded shocks and rear springs with the Tremor package make a big difference in taking away any bumps from both off-road and paved driving. It holds the road nicely and I have yet to have any of that rear end hopping that you can have in a lot of trucks. One of my personal worries was how it would handle in the rain and while I slow down a bit, I have a lot of confidence that the back end of the truck will stay straight and on the road. My wife drives a Lexus Rx 350 and she likes the seats in the Ranger much more. I am not sure that I would go that far but it is extremely comfortable. I am not a small guy - 6'1 and 245lbs and have plenty of room. The heated seats work great but miss not having an option for heated steering wheel. The safety features on the Ranger are one of the reasons I ended up choosing the ranger over the Tacoma/Canyon/Colorado. Don't believe me - do your own comparison. My Ranger has Lane-Keeping System, BLIS® (Blind-Spot Information System), Rear View Camera Pre-Collison Assist with Emergency Braking (AEB). Auto High-Beam Headlamps and adaptive cruise control. It also has some nice off-road driver assist technologies. I do wish it had an option for a heads up display but it wasn't a deal breaker. Although it isn't head up you can select digital miles per hour on the drivers screen. While I am far from an audiophile the B&O 10 speaker system was another selling point for me. It is best in the Surround mode and it has great bass. I haven't heard the stock stereo so I can't compare but do feel like it is better than some other premium systems I have had including Bose, Harmon Kardon, and Mark Levinson. Don't laugh but I do miss not having a CD player - giving away my age a bit. I had doubts about the Sync4 system but all of the features from navigation to audio, etc work easily using voice recognition. I haven't used Apple Car play so can't speak to its ease of use. I can say that I haven't been impressed with the apps available for the system. I have the factory sprayed in liner and it looks and functions great. A complaint I have is that overspray ended up in the threaded holes where you add accessories like additional tie downs or in my case used for a tonneau cover. Do yourself a favor and ask the dealer to clean those up before bringing it home. For anyone deciding whether the Tremor package - available on the XLT and Lariat trims - package is worth it my opinion is it was worth every penny. Pros - tougher looks, improved off-road capability, improved ride and handling on pavement. Cons - cost more, reduces payload capacity, lower mpg. As for Lariat vs XLT - that is really a personal preference. It is worth it if you like some of the nicer options but the XLT will perform as well and save you some money. My truck obviously has all the bells and whistles that many may not want to pay for or need but if you are comparing to a loaded competitor such as a Canyon Denali, etc I don't think you will find that the others measure up in terms of price, options, and capability.
