Used 2003 Ford Ranger SuperCab Consumer Reviews
great compact truck
this is a great compact truck for the money......just bought a week ago...it had 3000 cash back...how could you go wrong for a 4x4...so far so good.....lots of power with the 4.0 and 5spd auto.it also has lots of options...if your looking for a compact truck then test drive one .....
It's been a great ride
I love this Truck. It's transmission just had a not major, but expensive failure to repair (trans pump seal). It has 175,000 miles on it and it has been a blast to drive, unstoappable in the winter, and a blast off road & mudding. I would pull full sized trucks out of bad situations, and everyone is surprised at how easily my "little truck" does it; it was a serious Off Road vehicle. I had Dyno-matted the entire interior, which probably has a lot to do with how quiet and smooth the ride was, as well as making the doors feel more substantial. To this day it is a very comfortable and smooth ride. I did very little maintenance on it aside from the typical wear and maintenance parts. I still have the original hoses on the truck, I flushed and changed the coolant system one time, performed one spark plug and cable change, replaced the alternator & the cat back exhaust one time, replaced all the ball joints and tie rod ends after one of the lowers failed, replaced the front wheel bearing$, and rear axle seals. 16 years of hard work, fun, and daily driving, and those were all the issues I had! This has to be THE best Ranger ever produced then, and maybe even to this day. If you find one with low to moderate miles, and is still in good shape*, don't hesitate to pick it up it will not let you down.

One tough little truck!/Ranger Edge S.
This nice little truck is a joy to drive, very responsive handling capabilitys, and the tow package is top shelf, It seems happy to pull a loaded tandem trailer. The truck is a 2003 Ford Ranger Super PU 4x2 Edge S 3.0 L V6 Auto., Overdrive. Everything works great, Doesn't use or leak anything, the engine and undercarriage are completely dry, Well...., it does use some gas, you can expect about 19 town and 23 hyway M.P.G. Truck looks good in and out, has some fading on top of fender flares.Milage is approaching 190,000. Very well maintained ,And if thats not enough...., It's Red!!!!!!

I spend a lot of time off road this truck does very well .
First Extended Cab I've Owned
I needed more interior space so purchased the Ranger extended cab. The 3.0 L V6 has plenty of power. Auto transmission shifts smoothly. I'm surprised at 2,400 RPM when cruising @ 65 MPH on the highway. Thought it would be closer to 2,000. Wish seat could fold fwd. enough to access behind seat space without having whole seat slide fwd. Should be a good truck overall. I do miss my F-150.
