My Ranger FX4 is black with black interior. It gets many compliments plus turns more than a few heads. This Ranger is eguiped with a manual transmission and I especially like the manual transfer case. The shifters are chrome with brushed chrome molding around their base. The 4.0L could still use at least 40 additional HP tho, especially with the larger tires. I love this truck. Wouldn't change a thing...

I got my '02 Ranger about 6 weeks ago. This is my 3rd ranger in 5 years or so. I just turned in a '99 4x4, 3.0 v6 flare side, for this '02, 4.0, 4x4. What a world of difference that engine makes, add that with the 5 speed automatic. After the firestone tires were replaced with those crappy crappy crappy Goodyear Wrangler RTS's, there was no way in H@!! I would buy another vehicle with those tires. The new one has the 31x10.5 BFG's. Very nice. Overall I'm very satisfied with the engine, transmission, ride, and quality. The ford dealership leaves MUCH to be desired.

only 2 regrets should of bought a 4x4 even though the 2x4 gets around just fine with sand bags. second regret is caused by ford, ford put a speed limiter on the 3.ol motor limiting the speed to about 92mph. not a problem for most but then again i am a teen and would like the needel to reach that 120mph mark which i know it is capable of doing at 92mph the truck runs smoother than ever, the ride is quiet and the truck is not even winded.

I have had this truck for 5 years and have had no problems. Runs great. The mileage could be better, but isn't bad considering the 4.0l motor.
