I have had my mustang for 2 months now. This is a home run. I get 25 MG in city driving on premium fuel. I had a V6 2012 and there is no comparison. I drive it in sport mode and there is plenty of pep. Love the premium interior. Can,t believe I got so much car for 31K.

This car gives you more bang for your buck than anything I can think of. For over 30 years I've driven only pickup trucks (always, always Ford 4x4s). I decided to keep my last F-150 and add something fun as my daily driver. I got a great deal on the Mustang Eco-boost at the local Audi dealer in Boulder, CO. It was used with 8,100 miles on the odometer for $19,000. With the Magnetic Metallic paint, it has jaw-dropping good looks and I've never owned a car that drew nearly as much attention. My long time Ford mechanic is as good with Fords as anyone I know. He not only works on them, he races them as well. He drove my Mustang once for 5 minutes and tried to buy it from me. I might be easily impressed but he is not. If he liked the car that much, it speaks volumes about the quality of this generation of Mustangs. I've noticed a few comments about vibration and/or fluttering sounds. The owners manual states that can be a problem if one or both windows are down, especially from 30 MPH up. I never drive with the windows down, so no problem for me. But the sound is not a drive shaft or any other mechanical problem, it's just what the air does when it comes in the window(s) and circulates around the interior.

1st Mustang - Worth the Wait!

I was looking for a fun, sporty car earlier this year to supplement my DD (Audi A6). Looked at Suburu BRZ/Scion FRS (ride a bit stiff & only OK power) Hyundai Genesis Coupe (ride too stiff & only OK looks) and Camaro (lousy visability). Reading the car show reviews of the new Mustang and seeing pics I was intrigued. I've had my Mustang for about a month. WOW! It's beautiful inside and out. Great lines, fit & finish top notch. Premium level interior. Very sporty - clearly a Mustang but updated for the 21st century and much more refined. Ecoboost power is great / very responsive, the handling is outstanding with great visibility. Front seat comfort = to my A6. Comfortable ride.

I spent over 100 hours researching the ecoboost Mustang prior to ordering from the factory. I have the Automatic with the performance package. If your on the fence to order the new Mustang, make sure not to get the base ecoboost. I have had numerous people take pictures of the car and always turns heads. I own 4 other Mustangs and this will run circles around my old 5.0 GT's. This is a sleeper. I love the Oxford White and the black rims. I already smoked a Corvette and Charger. Looking forward to flash tuning the car and getting another 60-80 HP out the 4 banger. Also, I was skeptical of the gas mileage. I have a tall .355 gear and I can get 30+ miles per gallon easy. Love this car.

BEWARE - driveline vibrations that Ford cannot fix

If you are considering buying one of these cars, be aware that there is an design/engineering issue which causes a vibration between 55-70mph. Ford cannot figure out the problem, many owners are having to leave their cars at the dealers for months waiting for parts to be ordered which may/may not be able to fix the problem. IF you are considering buying a S550 mustang (2015+) MAKE SURE you drive it to 55 MPH-70mph and pay attention to vibration. It may be subtle, it may be drastic. This isn't 1 in 50 this affects, its more likely 1 in 2 that this problem exists in. Reference: http://www.mustang6g.com/forums/showthread.php?t=15990 Recommendation: as pretty as they are, do not buy an S550 Mustang until Ford steps up and reengineers a solution to this problem. This may mean a completely new driveshaft, differential, and output flange for all users - BUT wait till Ford releases a TSB before you consider buying one of these.
