review with less than 200 miles.....
Got a deal I couldn't pass up; a new 2003 Mach 1 in Azure Blue, 5 Speed with the IUP for $23,500 before tax and license. Love the look of the car and the engine. The only thing I really don't like is the interior; it's pretty cheap looking except the leather seats which are comfortable and supportive. Nothing like the shaker hood! The Cobra is significantly faster, but to me, it doesn't look as sharp.
the mach
Simply an awesome automobile. This is the 6th mustang ive owned (still have an 87 gt conv). I drive this car daily and have put 90k on it in 3 years. The ONLY thing thats ever been replaced is one set of tires!! The car is occasionally raced @ the dragstrip and drives 60 miles a day on the interstate. It is as still tight as the day i bought it, no squeaks, rattles, or anything, and on top of that, its lowered. The car is a silent predator. In stock trim (mine has been tuned and a few goodies here and there) a stock C6 vette cant stand it in an 8th mile race. You have to do a little tweaking and good driving to handle him in the quarter. Whoever did their homework @ Ford on this got a raise!

Perfect Road Warrior
When I first bought the car I was deciding between the Mach 1 or the 03 Cobra. I chose the Mach 1 mainly because of the lower cost and I liked the fact that it was non-supercharged. I love this car and am extremely glad I bought it. It can easily eat up any camaro and with a little work corvettes too. I havn't ran it on the track yet so I am not sure of what it runs number wise.
The best Mach Ford ever built!
Pretty much the perfect Mustang in every way. It has plenty of power, Retro styling, luxiorious interior, great handling and brakes. I have no complaints. I have met several people who own this car as well and they agree with me 100%!!! I also own a '93 LX 5.0 and it was NOTHING like this Mach!! PERFECT!!!
Adrenaline rush
The re-issue of the Mach 1 Mustang is an excellent performance value for the money. This car has a tremendous amount of low end torque and easily runs the quarter mile in high 13 second range without any modifications, just as from the factory. The Mach has a distinctive muscle car exhaust note that is reminiscent of big block cars from the 60's. One drawback is the interior, which could have been done up with better quality. Fuel tank is relatively small (15 gallons) and requires frequent re-filling , especially if the car is driven hard.
