93 GT

I bought my 93 GT with 77K miles after I sold my 89 Camaro IROC-Z. Stock, the Mustang was on par with my Camaro, but with the 5 speed, and now with a few basic bolt-on's, there is no doubt it would better it. The gears are pretty close, which makes driving very fun, although top end isn't near the Camaro. Braking is behind as well, with rear drums, and the suspension is a bit sloppy with excessive roll. The only bad things I’ve dealt with in the 7K miles I’ve owned this, is that the sunroof leaks a bit and it seems to be leaking oil down near the crank pulley, but with 84K miles on a car such as this, I find these problems to be bearable.

Best New Car I Ever Bought

I bought my 93 GT hatchback new in 93. The clutch lasted 336K miles. Only because of a stripped quadrant caused me to replace everything. It now has 349K and the motor or trans have never been apart. I got close to 30MPG on a trip from Atl to NY when it had about 335K on it. It was a great value when it was new. Now I regret teaching our son how to do burn=outs!

Still in love after 30 years

I’ve bought 4 mustang GT fox body 5.0’s since 1991. It became my main hobby and I am now 54 years old and I still love these cars even with all the inherent flaws and lack of power and technology compared with today’s far superior build qualities. Never the less Stomping on the gas in my fox body is more fun than than most cars and I am biased towards the styling of these cars for sure.Aftermarket support and classic car insurance make the fox body mustang the most viable choice for a car hobbyist and with the increasing values of a clean rust free car it makes sense to keep them in the family rather than sell them for money which can always be replaced but a beautiful old car with history is worth hanging on to.
